Dr. Camizu asks Saxe-Coburg's leaders, "Why are you so eager for war? Why will you not give peace a chance? I have worked tirelessly for freedom, peace, human rights, and democracy for all peoples, not just Camizuans! Why do you insist on fighting to solve problems? Surely the other nations of the region would prefer to solve this problem without war! Why do you refuse any sort of compromise? Why do you insist stubbornly on controlling everything and always having your way, no matter what the consequences?" Grand Duke Vladimir of Okraina has expressed an interest in maintaining peace. He hopes that war will not be necessary, but warns Dr. Camizu that he and Saxe-Coburg have had close relations in the past, and would not like to see his ally endangered. OOC: Look what I've been reduced to. Threatening myself with an autowar! This is ridiculous. Maybe I ought limit myself to one nation. Or at least keep my nations within their regions! |

Prime Minister Sievers wishes to comprimise with Camizu. Will you accept the promise of Saxe-Coburg never to invade or annex Bohemia in exchange for Camizu's promise to drop all of his claims to the region. Would this be acceptible? |

Will Saxe-Coburg also promise to pay Camizu annual tribute? That would make the deal more even. You are asking us to give up one of our homelands. |

OOC: "One of our homelands" does not make sense. By definition you can only have one homeland. |

Saxe-Coburg does not pay tribute. Other nations pay tribute to Saxe-Coburg. Consider yourself lucky that you do not have to pay tribute to Saxe-Coburg. We shall pay no tribute. Do not request that we pay tribute to you. It shall not be. |

OOC: If you want to be technical, it would be "part of our homeland," but "one of our homelands" is a legitimate colloquial use. |

Dr. Camizu finds it interesting that Saxe-Coburg has such a lofty opinion of themselves. He wonders why such a mighty nation bothers to talk to somebody as unimportant as him. |

Now now. There is no need for self-depreciation. We abandoned asking nations for tribute about 200 years ago, and will not ask for it now. We are perfectly able to support ourselves without tribute from other lands. We are willing to negotiate on our terms, but tribute shall not be paid by either side. |

You said before that you never wanted Bohemia, now you say that you will promise never to take Bohemia as part of a compromise. How is it a compromise for you to give up claims that you said you wren't making? |

I'm comprimising for you to give up your claims to Bohemia, not for me to give up mine, because they don't exist. |

OOC: But since he is so paranoid that I will invade and take Bohemia, I am willing to promise never to do so. I understand what you are saying, though. Let me rephrase my self. IC: Prime Minister Sievers Made This Statement Today: What will Camizu accept, short of tribute, to drop all claims to Bohemia? |

Dr. Camizu is willing to drop claims under the following conditions: 1) While Bohemians will remain free of Camizuan or Saxe-Coburgian rule, they will enjoy honorary Camizuan citizenship, and the right to return unimpaired to Camizu should they so choose, and all the benefits of Camizuan citizenship. 2) Saxe-Coburg will provide Camizu with extraterritoriality rights: all Camizuan citizens in Saxe-Coburg have the right to be tried for crimes or punished in any way by Camizuan authorities, not Saxe-Coburgian ones. This also applies to Bohemian citizens of Camizu. |

Saxe-Coburg is willing to accept your terms, with a few provisions: 1. A Saxe-Coburgian representative may be sent to the trials, and may testify in them. 2. Murders that have taken place within Saxe-Coburg shall be prosecuted in Saxe-Coburg. |

We feel that those conditions are fair to ensure the just treatment of Camizuans in Bohemia that may come into contact with Saxe-Coburg. Dr. Camizu will now refrain from making claims to Bohemia. |

Excellent. Prime Minister Sievers is glad that a peaceful resolution could be reached. In other news, Saxe-Coburgian forces have officially occupied the Saxon and Hannoverian states that are in dispute. An intermediary government has been established. OOC: Since I have occupied these areas, is it all right for me to put those territories on the map as "Claimed by Saxe-Coburg?" |

Sure. you can use the alternating colors if they are contested. The hanoverian states should be alternated with the colors of S-C and Elyk, because you both claim them. |

I think that Elyk gave up his claims to the Hannoverian States though. What about Prussia? Do they still have a claim to the Saxon States and the Czech Republic, or have they dropped it? |

Ok about Elyk. I don't know about Prussia, but Dr. Camizu probably will say something about those claims of theirs. |

Saxe-Coburg would like to re-state its offer for comprimise: If Prussia drops all claims to Saxony and Bohemia, then Saxe-Coburg would be willing to negotiate the annexation, by Prussia, of Silesia or perhaps parts of the Baltic countries. |

Okraina feels that Saxe-Burg's claims so far have been entirely reasonable, and will recognize them. |
