Patrua has suggested in the past that it would be ok for ME nations to set up African nations (see Egyria's African Protectorates thread).

But's that when they are on the African Continent on the Middle East map...as far as I know Al Araam is next to me and I am nowhere near Africa.

"Most certainly not!
I will not allow the carving up of the African Continent. If you want to join the African Continent, you are welcome to do so. Create a new nation and play along, if you want. But just deciding to give away some territories without the members being asked, that's just preposterous "

This was the quote by Patrua I was referring to, so it seems to be ok. However, I'm sure Patrua will comment on this when he checks the forum. I understand your concern, of course, considering the recent incident with the ME map.

Yeah, I though it was okay if they are not in the overlap area with the Middle East. Either you're in the overlap area and then you have one and the same nation represented in two regions or -on request- you can have one in Africa too if it is not in the hinge area, but then I will not allow RP-cheating (with regional compatibility and stuff).

Ooh, this sounds like fun. I might create a nation and put it in the African Continent...but it would be Catholic...would that be a problem?
