I know, but this was an article by Celeb Magazine, which is more tabloid-like and not part of the PPA unlike The Herald... They don't explicitly deny that Prince August is a direct descendant, they just selectively omit. Populist way of writing, that's all ;) Lol, very clever! Just me, I'm a fan of perfection lol. I like it though. They are all ready building the case for Gravir to become Pope.

The monastery, which is in the mountains, near the Empire's borders, north of Burre, is famous for the Spartan lifestyle adhered to by the monks. They are the devout followers of Saint Anthony and adamant supporters of the Saint's monastic legacy. Rules are hard and those that enter are soon subject to iron discipline. The monastery is oldest one of the three left in the Empire. Most others disappeared when Patrua's military service became obligatory and religious institutions and their property subject to tax as is any other individual. The devout training and hermit-kind of lifestyle will surely be a tough change for the Prince who is used to the opulent wealth of the Imperial Palace, but may be an essential step if the Imperial child is to become Bishop of Rome one day.

The couple have been spending time together, virtually locked up, at the San Franco Monastic Village in North Catholic Europe, not far from where their secret marriage took place. This will be of great relief to the Pope, who will no doubt be praying that a male is born and he can end his worries about the Papal succession, as he would now have two possible heirs to follow him - Prince Gravir of Patrua and the unborn child of Prince August. However, it is not known how happy the married couple are with rumours having been leaked that Prince August has been frustrated at his lack of power and annoyed that he is only being used as a breeding machine. It is thought that he is incensed that a Patruan could eventually be more powerful than him in Catholic Europe and it has caused him (Prince August) to take this out on his wife, who he blames for this lack of power. Only time will tell if more heirs are born and whether or not a Patruan Pope will be Gods will or not.

The son will be known as Prince Cristiano and it is expected that he will be named as heir to the Papal throne, although whether he or not he will be after Prince Gravir of Patrua or after Pope Benedict XVII is unknown. Pope Benedict XVII is thought to have head immediately for the San Franco Monastic Village, where the royal family is currently residing. It is also thought that King Kazimerz II will fly to the Village to see his grandchild. There have also been rumours that Prince Gravir may also fly over to Catholic Europe to meet the child." Perhaps she could do a little travel around the sites in Genesis City, you know visiting orphans etc. Also, it would be a good time to show Prince Augusts true rivalry with the Patruan Royals (Gravir Junior and Matilda). He could refuse to met up with Gravir Senior (as he is not a Catholic yet) and not be present for banquets with Matilda. It could really start of the rivalry for the papacy even though, to the public, Prince August stands no chance of becoming Pope because he is married and has not designated by Pope Benedict XVII as one of the possible heirs to the throne, unlike his son and Gravir Junior.

But none of them have anything to do with Wadj (no family strings, history or anything) that could validate their claim. So don't expect a claim from them.

I was thinking perhaps Princess Matilda as Godmother, with a Saxe-Coburgian Royal as Godfather and Cardinal Maximos V as a godfather (considering that Prince Cristiano is a great-grandson of Queen Maryam and therefore has Dawnsian blood).

Ibrahim Al-Hakiim, the Emir of Sekundar, a small city in western Wadj was chosen as the successor. He has been called "The Wise" by his subjects. He is known to be a just and kind man, dedicated to serving the people. He is Sultan Suleiman's cousin. He will be crowned Sultan Ibrahim tomorrow at the great Mosque in Sindh.

So, it's going to be rushed and not done very well. CEN Breaking News "We are receiving reports from our reporters in Poland that Her Royal Highness, Princess Kasia, has been shot by Cosack Rebels, whilst she and her new born son, Prince Cristiano, were travelling in an open top car. It is thought that she may have received more than 5 direct hits from a gun and was killed practically instantly. Prince Cristiano is apparently unharmed but has been taken into secure hiding and will be making his way back to Catholic Europe as soon as possible. Prince August is reputedly travelling to a secret location to wait for his son to return to Catholic Europe." More updates to follow.

It has an item about the Imperial House, so gather around your television sets and tune in. "... 's visit to Catholic Europe to an early close." Stephan Walters, the anchor disappears as the camera cuts to recorded footage from a reporter at the scene. Pretty reporter Carine Losanna's sexy voice-over accompanies the images of Prince Gravir and Princess Matilda. They are somewhere in a shantytown in the ruins of Genesis City. Numerous people litter the ruins clogging to catch a glimpse of the Princess. She is talking with some people, smiling empathically while giants in black three-piece suits and shades press their ear-piece and look around, the other hand near a bulge in their vests. Some soldiers in regular brown Imperial Armed Forces fatigues but combat bullet-proof vests walk around in a perimeter around the retinue, their AK's at hand. Other soldiers look more shabby, in patched-together combat dress of which each differs in shade of green or beige. Different helmets too. They are the Catholic European soldiers who are keeping the civlians at bay. On one of the ruins, a sheet hangs down on which is written "Bienvenuti a Principessa Matilda". This is the area that got levelled by the daisy cutters Patrua dropped during the War of Succession. The people adore the Princess. They are less interested in the Prince who stands more at the back and just smiles politely but uneasy at the people the Princess greets and talks to. "Now a terrorist assault in Poland has made many realise how fragile post-war Catholic Europe still is with regard to security, the Imperial couple has decided to return home to the Empire much earlier than originally planned. His Grand Majesty, the Glorious Prince of Patrua, Gravir and His fianc�e Her Exquisite Highness, the Beloved Princess of the Southern Kingdom, Matilda will leave the homeland of Her Majesty a week early." Cut to footage of Prince Gravir the Younger in a huge cathedral and in formal attire. It's the archive of the televised baptism of Prince Cristiano. "His Brilliant Excellence, the Glorious Prince of Patrua, Gravir the Younger, will not be returning home however. The surprising announcement was made by an Imperial Palace spokesman." Cut to the stairs of the Imperial Palace, bathing in scorching sunlight. A man in a suit is standing about halfway, surrounded by micophones and hands holding tape-recorders. "In the best interest of His Venerable Highness, the Glorious Prince of Patrua, Gravir the Younger's education, the Imperial Family has decided to grant him leave to master the intricacies of his religious studies. Although the Saint Anthony's monastery in Dimani is listed as one of the most severe in the region, it will not be as sufficient and rich in study material as the courses and libraries Catholic Europe has to offer. Even more so, eventually, a training there is a prerequisite to the ordaining His Imperial Majesty is poised for. Therefore, His Eminent Illuminescence will be spending the remainder of His studying years in Catholic Europe. Despite serious security lapses, the safety of His Beloved Lordship will be a top priority for Catholic Europe's security agencies." Cut to the studio. Stephan Walters is seated there. "Egyria then. He only saw her a few times, but she was a wonderful person, and her heart was filled with kindness. His Wife, Princess Maria of Poland is inconsolable over the loss of her sister. Her every waking moment is spent in the Cathedral in Coburg praying.

Yes, that is very true. He is, essentially, even more important than the Pope because he is, although not officially, the papal heir and so he must be protected in order for the Royal Papacy to continue. I mean, if he were to be killed, then Prince August would have to be ordained as well as Prince Cristiano - meaning there would be no heirs. The Papacy, under Benedict XVII, has become obsessed with the succession issue. It constantly goes through his mind because he is a man of duty and feels that he must ensure that his family survives because he is the only one left to do so. The others are too young and Princess Matilda is an ageing woman who lives in a foreign country. Therefore, the pressure all rests on him. The other Royals don't particularly care, and everyone will see the consequences of that.

However, their son, Prince Gravir Junior, has not gone with them but rather has stayed in Genesis City. He is expected to travel to the San Dominico monastic village in South Catholic Europe, a monastery where many Royals in the past completed their education, including Popes Celestine VI, Fernando I and Miguel II. It is thought that, after the completion of the remaining few years of his education, he will be ordained a Priest and immediately raised to a Cardinal by Pope Benedict XVII in anticipation that, when His Holiness dies, Prince Gravir will be named as successor, perhaps by a letter to be read out after Pope Benedict XVII's death. In other news, Pope Benedict XVII has left Polanti and travelled back to Genesis City in order to complete a number of peace negotiation talks. Prince August and Prince Cristiano, it has been announced, will remain in Polanti indefinately. Prince August will also not be travelling to Poland for his wifes funeral, the reasons for this are unknown but his Cardinal told us that Prince August wishes to remain in Polanti and grieve there. However, a number of hardline Cardinals, attending the 3rd Catholic Council, have left for a summit with Prince August in Polanti, apparently for a number of Requiem Masses in Princess Kasia's honour. It is also thought that His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVII, wishes to find another wife for Prince August as soon as possible. Prince August is still only young, 24, and the sooner a wife is found the more heirs that can be produced. The Imperial Prince has had virtually all inhabitants, both temporary and permanent, removed from the village except for 5 Cardinals, 10 monks and 10 nuns to look after Prince Cristiano. However, the Imperial Prince was spotted by outsiders walking into the Polanti Chapel. A photograph of him, taken by a pilgrim, shows him wearing Royal Dress, including a crown and, also, wearing the state dress of Emperor Amadeo I of the Resplendant Dawn (his uncle). One Priest, who did not wish to be named, had this to say: "Prince August, like his great-grandfather, Emperor Emmanuel of the Resplendant Dawn, is consumed with his own self-importance. He now insists that people call him the Imperial Prince and it is even rumoured that he has said he will not marry, instead he will remain a bachelor so that, when Pope Benedict XVII dies, he may become Pope." It has been announced that neither Prince August or his son will travel back to Poland for Princess Kasia's funeral, something which has reputedly angered Pope Benedict XVII who is keen to cement alliances in Europe. One person, close to the Holy Father, commented that upon hearing the news, His Holiness had this to say: "August is acting as if the War never happened. He is like a Prince of old. He does not realise that my way is the only way for us to survive. If we are to follow him we will punished by another war. He would take us War under the banner of an Imperial Catholic Europe. He does not realise that this is no longer possible for us. He will lead this country back not forward." It is thought that Pope Benedict XVII may insist that Prince August remarry as soon as possible, so that he can be totally excluded from the Papal succession. It is also thought that His Holiness may insist that Prince Cristiano be seperated from the Imperial Prince and instead live in the Papal resiences in Genesis City. OOC: What I am trying to get across here is that Prince August is like the Royals of old. He believes, 100%, in an agressive and Imperialistic Catholic Europe unlike Pope Benedict XVII who witnessed and felt the true impact of the War of Succession (Prince August was only a baby).

The lights were dimmed and a number of hooded monks in black lined the walls of the room. In the centre of the room was a large and grand wooden table, a solid gold crucifix stood in the middle. Around the table were 6 people. 5 were dressed in red cassocks, expensive red silk hats on top of their heads and diamond encrusted platinum crucifixes hung around their neck. All were aged and grey, but their presence sent out waves of toughness, determination and mental strength. At the head of the table, seated in a regal chair, perhaps even a throne, was a young man. Dressed in traditional Catholic European dress and sporting a crown suspiciously similar to those worn by the Dawnsian Royal Family. "Imperial Prince, you are losing favour with the Holy Father. He told me that he thinks you are a liability." One Cardinal said. The Imperial Prince thought for a minute and then spoke "Catholic Europe needs to regain its former glory. He has already publicly announced that he intend to find you another wife as soon as possible and we all know why that is - to stop you from becoming Pope and to allow Prince Gravir Junior to become Pope." Prince August replied, becoming more angry "My great-aunt has a lot to answer for. She has never helped this family and, if her interfering in Benedict's affairs is allowed to pass, she will help my family to its grave and take the Church with it. I will refuse any marriage offer and, with your help, will stop Prince Gravir from succeeding Benedict."

San Dominico is famed for having produced three Popes, all relatives of Prince Gravir, and for being the monastic school of choice for the Royal Families of Catholic Europe. It is an impressive and devout monastery and is renowned for producing the most accomplished of clerics as well as excellent secular professionals. James Francis Maria Dominic, Abbot of the San Dominico Monastery, gave the Press an update on Prince Gravirs progress, reading from his own personal reports on the Prince: "His Royal Highness, Prince Gravir is an excellent and pious student. He is accomplished in speaking Latin and shows great integrity and a most wholesome Catholic character. His religious devotions are progressing well and his knowledge of the Church is also delightful. However, he does, on theological issues, represent a slightly deviant perspective, although not much. His upbringing in Patrua and the presence of anti-Catholic propaganda may be an influence in this matter. Despite his lack of zealousy for the established dogma, His Royal Highness is our best student and excels in everything that God gives him to do." A spokesman for Princess Matilda and Prince Gravir Senior had this to say: "We are most pleased at our sons progress. Although his devotion to dogma was questionned by the Abbot, we suspect it is more of anti-Patruan propaganda than anything else as the Abbot is famous for his extreme traditional views." Pope Benedict XVII is also said to be pleased at the report and says that the doubt of Prince Gravirs devotion to dogma is of no concern. Instead, he believes that Prince Gravir will be a devout and obediant son of the Church.

This would seem to confirm that Prince Gravir is indeed the designated papal heir, especially as it comes at a time when Pope Benedict's health has been failing him. However, neither Prince Gravir nor Pope Benedict XVII have officially come out and announced this rumour to be true - and neither have they publicly stated it to be false. The 17-year old Prince has automatically been given a Cardinalate and will soon travel back to Patrua for his first missionary and overseas work. He will most likely act as an ambassador between his two families - the Pope and the Emperor of Patrua. In other news, Prince August has announced that he wishes to be known as the Imperial prince in reference to his Imperial Dawnsian Ancestry, his grandmother being Queen Maryam of the Resplendant Dawn. He has, however, not been seen since the death of his wife and has remained a recluse in Polanti where he has spent all of his time, noirmally with 5 Cardinals and other helpers. His son, Prince Cristiano, has been sent to the Polanti Monastic School and will soon begin attending it full time, when he turns 3." More updates to follow.
