The South Family Rules ALL An expose on the Royal Family by Catholics in Exile (CiE) Originally, when the 4 Kingdoms of Catholic Europe were created by Pope Cristiano V, it was intended that they would remain seperate autonomous Kingdoms, acting as aids to ensure Papal rule. Furthermore, they acted as a way of protecting dos Santos Aveiro power as all aspects of Catholic European life, both secular and religious, would be completely controlled by the Family. It started out very well, with the Kingdoms all remaining distinct from one another and not choosing to get involved with each others affairs. However, as the long reign of Pope Emmanuel I increasingly showed favour to the South Kingdom this began to change. The accession of King Fernando II to the South Kingdom, accompanied by his strong wife Queen Matilda, suddenly changed the role of the Kingdoms in Catholic Europe and the Middle East region. Until his coronation they had remained an entirely internal matter, receiving no 'advertisement' in international and foreign news. However, as with everything Pope Emmanuel I touched, things would never be the same again. King Fernando II of the South and Queen Matilda began to initiate and lead these changes, as well as beginning a large 20-child dynasty. Son after son, daughter after daughter. The growth of the Southern Family represented the growth of the Southern Kingdom in terms of economic, military and political power as well as personal Papal favour - as showered on them by Pope Emmanuel I. Infact, Pope Emmanuel I even decreed that the second born son of King Fernando II and Queen Matilda would be named as his heir! The ambitions of these two people, for their children, were being fulfilled and they had even managed to secure the premier 'job' in Catholic Europe - that of Pope. With the death of Pope Emmanuel I, the King and his wife could begin to cement the Southern Family's rule over the rest of Catholic Europe and, fulfilling Pope Emmanuel I's dream, of expanding into the region. Prince Celestine, now Pope Celestine VI, was used by his ambitious parents to start the procedure. However, he was highly resentful of his parents ambitions and resisted many of the demands placed on him - but could not stop it altogether. The eldest son of the Royal Couple, and heir to the most pwerful Kingdom, Prince Amadeo was successfully married to the daughter of Emperor Emmanuel of the Resplendant Dawn. As his heir, it meant that, eventually, a Southern Son would rule that foreign nation. However, shortly after this King Fernando II died. Pope Celestine VI, ostensibly, was greatly affected by this and the rise of Southern power was stemmed as his refused to do anything other than mourn. A man whose life had been ruined by his ambitious father died mourning him in an extreme, and perhaps mentally unstable, way. But, like father like son - and King Fernando II had many sons. Prince Fernando, the fifth son of King Fernando II and Queen Matilda, was named as the new Pope and with it ushered in a new era of securing and consolidating Southern Power throughout Catholic Europe and the region as a whole. Daughters were married to the 3 Kings, sons and daughters married to foreign Princes and Princess' as the family, under the watchful eye of Queen Matilda and her two powerful sons, King Amadeo II and Pope Fernando I, enlarged and added more and more crowns to their list. An analysis of each individual child can show us just this: King Amadeo II: Married Queen Maryam and had their son crowned Emperor Amadeo I of the Resplendant Dawn. Their second son is expected to be named as successor to Pope Fernando I. Pope Celestine VI: Was Pope. Princess Matilda: Has remained somewhat aloof from the ambitions of her parents, even refusing to marry the King of the East, but her relationship with Prince Gravir of Patrua has been viewed by some as an attempt to gain influence in that Royal Household. Queen Maria: Was married to King Emmanuel II of the West. Their only son remains as sick as his father and events may be similar to the North Kingdom. Prince August: Married the sister of King Emmanuel II of the West, helping to ensure a Southern succesion in that Kingdom. Prince Leopold: Is an example of the rejection of his parents ambitions. Married a commoner and was exiled from the family. Was murdered in the 31st year of his life. Pope Fernando I: Is Pope. Queen Teresa: Married King Felipo III of the North. Both her sons died without heir and, due to Salic law, the North Kingdom was made an Archduchy under the rule of the Southern Kingdom. Cardinal Prince Miguel: Is scouted as a possible successor to his brother Pope Fernando I. Princess Luisa: Marrid the younger brother of King Emmanuel II of the West, ensuring a Southern Succession. Prince Conrad: Married Princess Rosa of the East, ensuring a Southern Succession. Prince Casimir: Lack of suitable brides has meant this Prince has escaped his parents ambitions. However, he may be made Archduke of Genesis City. Queen Constanza: Married to King Luis I of the East, ensuring a Southern succession. Prince Alfonso: Like his brother Prince Leopold, he has rejected his parents ambitions and remains in exile from Catholic Europe. Whereabouts unknown. Princess Anna: This princes managed to escape her parents ambitions and married a Duke. Princess Isabella: She also managed to escape her parents ambitions and marry a duke. Prince Joshua: lack of suitable brides mean that this prince was free to marry a Duchess. Crown Princess Filipa: Married to Crown Prince William of New Harumf. She will inherit the throne of New Harumf and so will her heirs. Prince Juan: His age has meant that he has not yet been found a wife, but as he is nearing his 18th birthday suitable brides are being looked for. Prince Carlos: Archduke of Cyprus and married to Princess Carol of New Harumf, ensuring a Southern Succession in that country. |

And I'll have that one too...! Welcome to the Archduchy of....Genesis City With the death last week of Cardinal Morensa at the age of 97, the See of Genesis City has been vacant. But, unlike the rest of Catholic Europe, Genesis City is its own autonomous area ruled solely and completely, on both secular and religious matters, by a Cardinal and not by any secular ruler - neither King nor Duke. However, as has been happening throughout the rest of Catholic Europe the prodigious offspring of Queen Matilda and King Fernando II of the South, aided by their brother Pope Fernando I, have been carving up more and more of the land for their own personal rule - the latest offering being the creation of Gensis City as an Archduchy. This follows in the footsteps of the North Kingdom and of the newly re-acquired island of Cyprus. Both, which had been ruled by non-Southern rulers, were taken, due to unusual circumstances, under the Southern wing and their leaders replaced with one of the 12 Southern sons. This time Prince Casimir was granted the title of Archduke, although he shall personally remain known as Prince Casimir (as a regal title is higher than an Archducal title for men). However, what this acts to ensure is that Genesis City, once a virtually independant and non-partisan area, will now become decidedly pro-Pope Fernando I and pro-King Amadeo II. With this in mind, it is probably not going to be a long time before another diocese is secularized and made into an Archduchy. OOC: With this article I'm hoping to show you that people are starting to become annoyed at the rapid secularization of Catholic Europe as the Southern Royal family, unintentionally, take away religious power and replace it with their own secular power. The Southern Family are extremely religious but they are also very power-hungary and whilst they do not want a secular country that is what they are inadvertly creating, as they take more and more power for themselves. This does not and will not go down well with Catholic European as they would be afraid of a return to a completely secular government which has happened only once - during the reign of Emperor Ricardo I (ring any bells? The use of Emperor has only just started to be re-used). |

The King is Dead, Foul Play Afoot[SIZE=1] This morning, King Emmanuel Rose was found dead in his bedchamber by a servant bringing him his morning paper. The crown prince was summoned immediately. He spent almost an hour in the chamber, imirged, and gave orders in a low voice to waiting security personnel. A chamber maid was then brought from the room, physically disturbed, and weeping loudly. She was led away by police. This just in: Queen Margaret has been taken into custody, under orders from Crown Prince William, and their are reports that a man-hunt has begun for Bishop Laab, who's where-a-bouts are unknown. More as this develops. |

CEN News Update "King Emmanuel Rose of New Harumf, born Prince Luis of the East, was today reported to have been murdered after recently returning to his home in New Harumf. The King, who had been in Catholic Europe for some time and estranged from his wife, Queen Margaret, is suspected to have been murdered by his wife and Bishop Laab, the, some would say, heretical Bishop of the Amish People. Princess Filipa of the South, daughter-in-law to King Emmanuel Rose and wife to Crown Prince William, is reputed to be under the care of Catholic European nuns as suspicion and rumour engulf the New Harumfian court. Her brother, Pope Fernando I, is reputed to be anguished at the news that His Majesty has died because of the War and he is also reputed to be extremely worried about the safety of his youngest sister." More updates to follow. |

The Resplendent Dawn, while having had no love for King Emmanuel Rose nevertheless condemns the assassination and prays that the purpetrators are brought to justice. OOC: Now if we had ordered it, that would have been a different story! |

NHN Network, The Jerry Rivers Show: This is Jerry Rivers with the latest news. First, it is reported that Princess Filipa has been flown to Genesis City during this time of termoil, and will be safe. Meanwhile, we have obtained an exclusive interview with the chambermaid that came out of the king's chambers early this morning. Miss, what is your name? "I am Sherly, a maid, sir." "So, Sherly, we understand you witnessed the actions last night, can you tell us what happened?" "Well, sir, I was visiting the King..." "In his chambers?" "ah, yes, sir. We were, ah, talking. Then there was a loud pounding on the door, and I heard the Queen demand enterance." "Queen Margaret?" "Yes sir." "The King demanded I hide in a cabinet, and I quickly got inside, but I could see everything." "What did you see, next?" "The King opened the door, and the Queen rushed in, followed imediately by Bishop Laab. The King demanded to know their business, but the bishop grabbed him, hard by the throat. He is so much bigger and powerful than the queen. He bellowed "We know what your plan is" or something like that...." Do you know what he meant by that? "No, I don't, but he kept shouting it over and over again." What was the Queen doing? "Sitting on the bed, shaking her head, until she said, "let's be done with it", stood up, and came over to the struggling King. Bishop forced the King to his knees, the Queen bent by his ears, and whispered something, I do not know what it was, but the king looked terrible frightened. Then the Bishop forced open the King's mouth, and the Queen poured something into it from a vial. He started shaking within seconds, then kicking, then drooling, then he stopped. Bishop Laab through him onto the floor, and without saying another word, they left, closing the door. I stayed in the cabinet, to frightened to move, until good Prince William came into the room, and I told him everything." There you have it, folks. The murder of a King. Rexicide. And the culprits, the Queen, and Mad Bishop Laab. More as we know it. This is Jerry Rivers, signing out. |

OOC: 1. I am a product of the delightful Chicago Public School System, or, as the sign reads at their headquarters across the street from my office, "The Chicago Public Scool System". This is the school system that our president called the worst in the nation. This means I was basically self-educated in everything except stealing, robbing, fighting, and firearms. 2. I cracked a rib about 2 weeks ago, and am still in a lot of pain, and when I was typing this, I was drunk as a skunk, so I am actually surprised it is a coherent as it is. 3. I learned a long time ago that it is better to mis-spell a word than limit your vocabulary. 4. You have made your shares of spelling errors, gramatical errors and wrong word usage, but because this is not a graded course, I've kept my mouth shut. 5. Spelling is a "Convention", not a rule. You spell your way, I'll spell mine, so, yes, you were rude, but I am used to it, so don't worry. |

NHN News Channel - Everything you need to know, and not a thing more: This morning in a small and private affair, Crown Prince William, and Crown Princess Filipa, flown in last night in secret, were coronated King William, and Queen Filipa. Security was massive, as the government does not know the extent of the evil hooks of Bishop Laab and the Queen Mother, Margaret, and because of the impending war with the Dawn. King William then released the following statement: "We grieve the loss of my beloved father, King Emmanuel Rose. It is with a heavy heart that we take the crown, but do so to continue his fine work. I wish to assure our allies that nothing will change regarding our international positions, and our devotion to Christ and the Holy cause of the Church can only become stronger. I also wish to warn our enemies that our resolve will remain steadfast and unchanged. Do not think you can take advantage of us, as we are not divided. Lastly, we shall hunt down the madman that committed this hienous crime, and see that he is punished." Meanwhile, reports have been coming in that Bishop Laab has been seen in the satanic Nag Ehgoeg, but that has not been confirmed. That is all the news of the day, God save the King. |
