This is a greetings and introduction from everyone’s friend, Ally, and just a great guy to be around "Uninterested Nihilists". Greetings! About our nation:

History:
UN is an ancient nation, although it has had a self-ruled government rarely during that time. The first written record discovered in UN was dated to have been written approximately 3000 years ago, on a stone Tablet. The Message has been translated as follows "Nahhhhh". Philosophers have argued that we would understand life much better if we knew what that message meant, but most UN Philosophers have long ago given up trying to understand anything, and spend their time sitting in bed muttering unrecognizable slogans, often incorporating numbers or strange faces in their ramblings. The current government the "Peoples Party of Perpetual Peace and Prosperity" (PPPPP), or "Those Chaps who can't bloody well keep it down" as they are referred to by the people, have been in power for almost 200 years, for the entire course of the current incarnation of UN's sovereignty. No opposition party has ever been created, nor has any non-party member ever run. The nation was founded in AD 1822 and, by some odd coincidence, never seemed to have to tell anybody. The only copy of the declaration of independence (which is, in fact, written on the back of a napkin) is currently on display in the Nations capital city of "Hoem" (Pronounced "Home" in conventional English and, oddly enough, also in Nihilist).

Official Name
The Vague Congregation of Uninterested Nihilists
(note: This is not, in fact, the name inscribed on the capital building in Hoem, which is more like The Incorporated States of Uninterested Nihilists. No one has ever complained)

Population:
No official census has ever been held, nor has the need for one ever been seen. At present it is believed that the population is growing, but this assumption is based on nothing especially except for the vague acknowledgement that, on occasion, more little people seem to turn up.

Religion:
All religions are welcomed in UN. The general religion is confused existential nihilism (if this can even be considered a religion). The tenets of this religion denote a strong lack of belief in the existence of anything, and the vague, well meaning dislike of everything and anything.

Military
There is no standing military in UN. Although the nation has been invaded numerous times, no one seemed to pay the invading forces much mind, and eventually they would leave. The people generally go on with their daily business, and no one much notices which flag is flying at the capitol. The invading forces would eventually become enormously frustrated and march off spitefully. Eventually someone would nip around and put the old UN flag back up in the capitol.

Government
The Government of UN is constantly changing between vaguely different forms of a well meaning, anarchic, leftist government. The government IS a democracy, if only in the fact that only one person ever votes, and he votes for himself, and no one much seems to mind. Taxes are high, but are never paid by anyone (Except for the President, when he feels like it). The government prosecutes nearly no one (And certainly no one larger then the president) and when they do, they do it timidly and liberally.

If there is anything else you would like to know about our nation please don't hesitate to ask. We are always happy to answer any questions to-the-best-of-our-abilities.

-UN governing board.

(Edit: would it be possible to still recieve a space on the official Mid-east Map?)

UN is an example of the Sophists having their way. You wonder why Greece was so easy to invade around Aristotle's time? ;)
