Here is a Thread made for discussing the Mirrored Mobius Storyline ... again. This time I hope that the Thread will actually be used to plan and discuss future events since this will be your main means of communication between other members and the moderators. Here everyone will see what everyone else is thinking and planning and we can all put in input on it together. Hopefully there will be no more " IM Tag " about certain details before putting ideas into motion. In order to get things rolling a few things have to be done in preparation. The first post of this Thread will continue to be updated with out progress on the story's structure and on getting things into shape. First, I had to see who was active and who wasn't before proceeding with who goes where and how to work everyone into the story. We've been doing small purges and generally moving members around the whole time but now its time to really nail it down before we proceed. Admittedly, the Activity Check went a lot smoother then I thought it would. The remaining members who are pending will probably be cleared up when Sonic-mun gets on tomorrow. Activity Checkup Spoiler: click to toggle Second, you may have noticed that I asked you all to PM me a few days ago. There was a reason for that. Over the next few days / weeks I intend on speaking on each of the members to get some important information and generally get to know them better. It'll give me a better idea on what to do about how we're posting in this Arch. Third, I will be putting together a short survey. The purpose of the survey is to find a 'focal' point for Mirrored Mobius as we begin to expand on the world. Basically, I'm trying to decide what format will work best for the group and for the most member involvement. There will probably be a whole other Topic on that and why it is so important. The survey will probably be ready in the next week or two. Finally, as we begin to stop idling in certain areas and begin driving the story, we will begin discussing our hopes and aspirations for which direction the story will take. Admittedly at the start of Timeline Gamma many characters were thrown into roles that may not have enjoyed. Luckily we're early enough in the development that most things can be fixed. Read this about Taken Characters / Potentially Taken Characters. Well, it looks like I let something slip prematurely. Blaming lack of sleep. Note that this is nothing that I talked to Sonic-mun or anyone else about really. It's just an idea that I've been thinking about for a while to deal with a common problem that we have with the Roster. This is just an idea. Not necessarily what will happen depending on how the other members feel. To put it simply some extremely popular characters will probably never be available because the mun is always around and playing. This created a bit of a problem because either players were put on a " wait list " for the character that may have lasted several weeks / months or they were forced to take on characters that they aren't particularly familiar with. Ultimately I decided that wasn't really fair. So for the idea let's use Sonic as an example. Sonic Prime (or MM Sonic however you want to look at it) will likely never be an available character since their mun is on and playing every day. That means we'd probably never have another Sonic player in the storyline ... until now. Under the new concept a New Player could play a Sonic from another Zone. So while we still have Sonic Prime around we would also have, say, Sonic X Sonic or SegaSonic Sonic. Maybe even AoSTH Sonic if you people decide not to kill him in annoyance. I have a vague idea of how this can convincingly be done in the form of an arch ... but I need to know who'd be on board with this and what characters they'd potentially play first. Of course any of all of the characters and their players will be evaluated like any other member and the player of the " original " character will be notified. Posted this here because a lot of people asked about the Character List posted. For the record Shadow Prime is my character and is still in limbo-mode because I'm not sure what will be happening after the Invasion. If this idea goes forward then it won't really matter what happens to Shadow Prime because Shadows from other universes will be up for play. Edit: Forgot to address characters that are " one ofs " meaning that for one reason or another there's only one of them in the Multiverse. Characters like Scourge and the Suppression Squad (minus Fiona), FIEST, Aurora, Chaos, Mephiles, Enerjak (probably since he's got a spiritual thing going on for him), Light/Dark Gaia and all things in between won't fall under this rule since either (1) they are omnipotent Gods and are not duplicated across hundreds of worlds or (2) their creation is unique so there's only one due to a technicality. I DEMAND DONATION. For I am the King. Also, I hope you end up keeping Shadow, I'd love to see what you'd do with him. And Scourge. Just cause no one can ever do him better than you. xD AND I'm okay with the idea of doing other dimensional versions of the same characters. But it might be difficult for people to keep coming up with reasons as to why they come to MM's world and then for them to stay there. Unless they play within their own dimensions or something. Well, I admit too, that having multiple dimensions would let more characters in, but it would also go a very confusing which Sonic/Knuckles/Tails/Eggman is which one and so on. But if we have all other dimensions as their own areas, we would just spare time if we would make them each their own forums : / I support this idea, even though it can get pretty chaotic with so many characters with same names running around. |

We could sort them in account name by brackets, with the ones without those bracketed sections being the Prime versions, eg. for Shadow we might have our current Shadow, who would keep his name, then maybe "Shadow (Black Arms)" for a ShTH game version of Shadow, or "Shadow (Avenger)" For a Shadow as he is in Adventure 2. As for in story? Well, Ix, mistaken identities is half the fun! |

I'm cool with the whole 'characters from multiple dimensions' thing too, just as long as we have a good way of differentiating which dimension they're all from. |

Unless someone else wants to take a stab at it I have a reason.
Shade pretty much nailed it. For the sake of simplicity they'll be labeled. Anyone who's name is just " -Character Name- " is from Mobius Prime. Anyone who's from, say, Earth (the world from the games) would be " SEGA -Character Name- ". Others would be " -Character Name- X " or " Fleet(way) - Character Name- ". Now I guess that'll bring up another question. Characters who are only present in one World by default will be labeled that way anyway to avoid confusion. So Cosmo would be " Cosmo X " and not just " Cosmo " even though there's only one known Cosmo. An Official Format for the User Names will be posted somewhere soon enough.
We won't unless a significant number of characters come out of any one particular universe. Then we might " Branch Out " to give them their own sub forum. We had " The Cosmic Interstate " as a forum for all other possible worlds but it got very little use. That'll probably change now. The idea is for most of the action to take place on Mobius, though. That probably won't happen so when and if the time comes we'll be ready for the possibility. |

I have a few ideas for what I’d like my guys to do. I'm a big fan of action threads, so I would love it if Rotor, Antoine, and Dulcy could get a chance to show off their respective skills (and in Dulcy's case, powers) and see some excitement (St. John and I thought the idea of Dulcy and Geoffrey teaming up to fight some bad guys would be a hoot XD). Also, in addition to having them interact with their old Freedom Fighter pals, I'd be up for having them meet and interact with other characters as well. Finally, I can't help but notice that Antoine really doesn't have a best friend in canon, and I've been digging the idea of him getting a best bud here. *is a sucker for platonic friendship stuff* I have no idea who it could be though. |

Well, there will be very soon a big attack against Portal, I would think that practically everyone can take part in that, and beat up some eggbots while meeting each other, so I guess it would qualify as an action thread xD thread about the attack will be done soon, either by Eggman, or if they are too busy with school and work, by me. |
