Fastest Thing Alive Posts: 614 Group: Councilor Member #3 Joined: June 16, 2009	Eggman: After years of trying to take over the world through various devices and evil schemes, he finally just challenged the King Acorn to a thumbwrestling match for the world. What the King didn't know was that Eggman played video games, very frequently, and consequently, he had thumbs of steal. Consequently, he took the crown with no difficulty, and worked to fully legitimize his rule, while consolidating all aspects of his wide-spread empire. There was just a little problem of the Mobians... His roboticization methods no longer worked, and it was so difficult capturing the original batch one by one and subjecting them to brain altering neural cybernetic implants, so he had to work on giving himself a good, benevolent public image. Who better a PR Expert than ... Miles? Miles: Miles took up the offer, of course after asking for some pay, or something he can work off of. Looking up at down at the man to see what he could do and what he had to work with. This should be easy enough for him, but enough of a task to keep him entertained, at least for a while. Traconian: He was lingering in the darkness...of course...people would attempt murdering the ever so great Doctor. He was the creature that lurked around...keeping the human safe. Kill whoever tried to kill Eggman. People knew he was there by the chills they got as he watched them. Sonic: Suppose some thought it inevitable. Over time, eventually, Eggman may succeed. In the end, it seemed that's exactly what happened. What they needed was their hero. Unfortunately, the blue hedgehog had been confined within the Egg castle's walls with inhibitors to suppress his speed. That helped limit the chances of him from escaping. So far, things seemed to be going well for RoBUTTnik. He got Miles to ally with him. It was probably hard to admit, but the mobian was incredibly smart and undoubtedly a good thing to take advantage of. Of course, they both may have had their own agendas against each other in the end. He also may have had some sidekicks he pushed around other than his robots. Nack and Jet? They used to be free agents but now that Eggman took over, he must've ensured that everyone worked for him. ...And were given the mark of the Egg. Eggman: Eggman rolled out of bed lazily, and went looking for a robe or something. He was looking forward to breakfast. His new chef should at least be proficient at cooking with his favorite food staple. None of this 'pyramid of nutrition' nonsense. He wanted food, and lots of it. Sonic: Sonic hated this. This had to be one of his worst nightmares. Forced to work under the rule of the worst tyrant that's ever hit New Mobotropolis. Or what was now called ... Egg city? Eggman land? Something with eggs in it. He didn't really care. Even with the suppression collar he still wore chains that limited his movement. Ankle cuffs and wrists shackled. And of course, it gets better. The blue hedgehog was forced to perform mediocre tasks around the palace. He was sure his main purpose for being there was to allow Eggman to rub his nose in the fact that he was King now and all of his friends and family were bein' worked to death by him. It made his blood boil but he knew he had to keep his cool. He'd never figure out a way out of this if he lost it. Nack: This. Is. BULL." Nack cursed to himself as he tapped on his new leader's face now on his arm as a permanent, unwanted mark. If Eggy were to be rid of his "leader status", what would he do to remove it? Meh, erase those thoughts, he had to pay attention to his pager attatched to his belt along with his snipah, as he likes to refer to it as. If Eggy ever needed him, he would page him, forcefully. If he were to be called, he hoped to not be late, and get punished as bad as the other figures he saw earlier, Sonic, Silver, especially Sonic, who would want a job cooking chili dogs? The castle wall was hard, rough, and unpleasent, but what else did he have to learn on, close his eyes, and complain on? The rest of the castle was probably covered in fire, spikes, and maybe other dangerous things Eggman may have placed upon his walls. Miles: Miles walked into the room, tray up in his hands elegantly as any waiter would. A full complete breakfast was there, waffles with eggs, bacon, orangejuice, the full deal. "You're breakfast sir...May it fill your stomach well..." He said quietly but strong, setting the meal on the table near him Silver: Huh. Interesting. He expected something more...sinister from the person who took over the world. But at least he'd gotten where he wanted to go. Usually things ended up really bad when he tried to time travel. Now to look for the person he knew could stop all of this. Ah, and there he was. Guy had a collar on and everything. "Hey!" Silver called in a whisper, tapping Sonic on the shoulder. "Over here!" Eggman: Eggman grabbed the egg-shaped tray, and began shovelling food in his mouth, drowning it down with his beverage of choice - petrol and motor oil, shaken, not stirred. "Yoo me goo," he managed to say with his mouth full, waving his hand toward the door, to get the point across. Miles: Miles bowed to his master and left the room swiftly, smirking to himself softly. He went down the stairs to the main hallway. Jet: He knew Eggman had always wanted to take over Mobius, but he never imagined the insane and oh so evil doctor would actually succeed, and win it in a thumb wrestling contest no less! Well.. Always safe to be on the winning on side the bird always said. As bad as that was it was something he lived by. If only a peaceful surrender to the Doctor’s rule would have saved him from being branded… Embarrassing. He signed inwardly. Hopefully the Doctor would give him some interesting jobs at least, like killing any resistance left that tried to oppose his rule. That would be fun, right? The only one he actually liked who he was stuck with in this castle was the purple weasel, Nack. Cool guy, loved the accent. Sonic: Needless to say, Sonic was quite surprise. The blue hedgehog had just been wakened by one of the guards that stood by his room. Yes, he got his own room, and no, it wasn't very hospitable at all. It might as well have been a damp and dreary cell. He did at least get a bed... well, a mattress anyway. A very uncomfortable, hard mattress. Sonic's eyes widened when he saw Silver. He knew he had to keep thinkin' positive. Eventually, he had to keep telling himself, they'd figure a way out of this mess. But he didn't think it'd be in the form of this futuristic hero. "Silver! How'd you get here?" Probably a dumb question. If he can travel through time, he could probably find a way into the palace without being detected. Yet. Silver: Silver rolled his eyes. "I'm going to pretend you didn't just ask me that." Because the answer was obvious. Now for his first order of business. "Try to hold still, okay?" His hand glowed slightly and Sonic's collar did the same, as did the cuffs on his wrists and ankles. A snap of the white hedgehog's fingers and the cuffs and collar snapped right in two. He'd been praticing! "Better?" He asked a little jokingly. "Now c'mon, let's get you out of here for now." Sonic: Sonic scratched one side of his head sheepishly. Only a tad embarrassed by his question. "Heh, yeah." Well, he was just taken off guard, was all. He asked on impulse seeing as how the last thing he expected was such a pleasant surprise. Definitely not complaining here. The blue hedgehog beamed, holding still and watching with barely contained excitement when his restraints were broken. He sighed in relief at the feel of his energy being restored to him. "Awesome, Silvs. ...A little late though, ya know." He teased though half meant it. Eggman was now more powerful than he ever was before. "We gotta free the prisoners." And there was a load of 'em hidden away in the dungeons, awaiting sentencing for crimes against the Kingdom. The main question was... how? Well, if Silver just so happened to have a Warp Ring, the process may not be too difficult. "I can make a lot of commotion and get all eyes on me while you save everyone." Eggman was so paranoid about him escaping since he decided to leave him alive, he'd drop everything to restrain Sonic again. He was sure of it. Silver: The white hedgehog shrugged. "Better late than never. Would you just prefer to stay here?" Raising an eyebrow. Time travel was tricky business! Sonic knew that too, right? Well whatever, this wasn't the time to argue. "Sure, I can do that." It was better Sonic be the distraction since he was probably too fast to get caught now. How he was caught in the first place was beyond Silver. Reaching in his quills, he pulled out his Super Warp Ring that he'd had the last time he came here and partially stepped through. "I'll be right back then. Be careful." Smiling before going all the way through and the portal disappeared. Sonic: "You too." Sonic smirked. He'd like to say he could be but considering he already got caught once, he wasn't making any promises. Actually, what he needed to do now was be as reckless as possible. Had to cause a lot of attention to himself. This ought to be fun. "Time for some payback, Egghead." He huffed to himself, a devious glint in those brilliant emerald eyes. Sonic took off with a whirlwind of speed, knocking things over in his path. It didn't take very long before an alarm went off indicating that the wild blue hedgehog was now on the loose! Nack: Since he hadn't gotten an order from Eggy in a while, he thought he would finally have some peace. He closed his eyes, still laying against the stone wall, thinking to himself about many things. He first heard a lot of things shatter, break, and make loud noises, as well as a wind rushing throughout the castle, and then an alarm. ...Wait... "Sonic!?" He opened his eyes in an instant with a surprised expression. 'What could that hedgehog be up to now?' he thought. He stood up with a determined expression, he flipped his SNYPAH in the air and caught it as he prepared to chase the hedgie. He loaded his SNYPAH with TRAQUILIZAH bullets, running down the halls, hunting him down. I'm sure that's what Eggy would've ordered him to do, plus he just wanted to use his darts on somebody to see their reactions and see them hallucinate. Hilarious. Traconian: The alarm was enough to bother him and send him into action...where ever the rodent was he was definitely close by. Rising up out of the ground infront of the blue hedgehog. Black tendrils reaching up above the ground and sealing the way...so the hedgehog had to stop. Bearing his canines in a small hiss...giving off a hyena cackle and taking a step forwards. Fire flickering off his snout before becoming a large mane of fire. Eggman had a certain pet this time to keep the blue hedgehog at bay. Sonic: Sonic heard of this beast before. Eggman had taunted him with the idea but he figured it wasn't anything he couldn't beat. After all, all his secret weapons in the past always had a weak spot somewhere. He was actually surprised to see this thing more of a living creature than mechanics. Maybe it was hidden but it seemed like a pretty... mysterical beast. Took him a wee bit off guard. He applied the brakes and came to a skidding stop, immediately backing up a few paces. He had no idea he had Nack on his tail too. "Hey there, fido. Don't suppose you're a vegetarian?" He smiled awkwardly. Traconian: His nostrils flared in a loud snort and growled. "..I'm not a dog, rodent....." uttering darkly. Kicking off the ground and using his wings to give him an extra boost. Rather quick on his own feet...but Sonic was still faster. But he had his way with things. The other end of the hall would seal up with a dark wall...while the lights were all but cut out.....leaving nothing but this things mane of fire to light things. And soon...all the flames on this creature's body would fade out...into complete darkness. Giving off another hyena cackle which seemed to echo around. Nack: Nack had ran through the halls, falling the paths of broken items, glass, picture frames, (they most likely were all of Eggman, so who gives a crap.) furniture, everyone in the halls, although a seldom population, all had their eyes on the blue blur. The trail of broken items had led him to a stopping point. A few meters away, he'd spotted the disturbance, and took aim. Looking through his scope, the two black lines that met to the center of Sonic's head, he had pulled the trigger and made a loud "BANG!", but unfortunately, he'd slipped on some ice that came from a broken glass, and the traquilzer went right over Sonic's head. "Aww...I'm screwed." He quickly tried to reload his SNYPAH before sonic turned around and noticed him, without thinking about where that first shot was heading. Sonic: "Whoa..." Gulp. Well... this wasn't good. Eggman was definitely outdoing himself these days. What a shame. Sonic immediately turned to run the other way. The alarms were blaring throughout the palace and he knew more backup would arrive. He had to avoid getting caught (or eaten) for as long as possible while Silver got everyone he could to safety. What he almost ran into just before the lights were cut was Nack. He saw something whiz by him and... if he was lucky at all, maybe he hit the beast. Meanwhile, he wasn't slowing down to see. He decided to wind up and perform a homing attack against the wall, hoping to break into another room with light. Jet: The green bird was lucky he had been given a room in the castle. Maybe for submitting to Eggman’s rule so willingly. Not a very well furnished room, but he wasn’t going to pester him for anything better. He didn’t want to get stuck with petty grunt work like Sonic. Jet was laying down on his stomach, lazily sprawled out on a bed. All his tossing and turning had wrinkled the sheets. He just couldn’t fall asleep. Too much on his mind. Just because he was on Eggman’s side didn’t mean he had to like it. Then he heard the sound of breaking glass and other things smashing and the sound of a rather irritating alarm, making him jump out of bed and become alert and attentive. What the hell was going on out there? Quickly he snatched his hover board off the wall where it was leaning and opened his door, rushing out into the hallway to find out what, or who, was causing the disturbance. He looked to his left and to his surprise he saw an eerie looking wall of black tendrils. It sounded like a lot was going on behind that wall. Traconian: Ducking under the thing that came whizzing through the air and hissed, letting out a loud snarl of irritation at Nack before diving underneath the ground. He was far faster moving through the shadows. Taking chase after the irritating blue hedgehog. The large wall of tendrils falling away to allow access to whoever was running from the direction. Nack: He was able to get the tranquilizer loaded, but looked up to see that son of a blue [censored] almost running into him. He quickly jumped up to his feet and turned around, only to see a big gaping hole in the wall. Nack proceeded to follow Sonic into the hole when he found himself facefirst into the ground due to Jet's extreme gear hitting him in the back. Sonic: The chase was on! It was a good thing Sonic enjoyed running. Looks like those walls were no match for that impact either. A round hole was formed and Sonic was nowhere to be seen. By the time he unwound and landed on his feet, it seemed he had already ran into another room! He was fast, but how quick was that demon looking thing? Sonic couldn't be sure but he was about to test it to the limit. Traconian: He trailed after the hedgehog's shadow...whoever fast it was...that's where he was. Quick in his movements. The hedgehog didn't know what will hit him, jumping out of the ground and snapping at the hedgehog's quills. Silver: Unfortunately for him, Silver chose that moment to pop out of his warp ring, having successfully rescued all of the prisoners. There weren't as many as he thought, most of them were probably already hypnotized. But he popped up right in Sonic's path and yelped in surprise when the blue hedgehog couldn't put on the breaks fast enough and crashed right into him! The force pushed them both back into the Warp Ring portal. It actually helped since he was apparently about to lose his head to a demon-dog looking thing. Huh, reminded him of someone. "Well jeez, if that's how you make an entrance..." He mumbled, rubbing his head. Jet: “What the?” He turned around quickly, board still in hand, as a blue blur rushed by him and down the hall. Then he felt something knock into his board. “Huh?” He turned his head to see Nack on the ground. Must have accidentally hit the poor guy with his board. He was about to apologize when he noticed a rather…oddly shaped boulder rolling down the hall. That thing was big, and he was pretty sure it was still deadly. He grabbed Nack by and pulled him out of the hallway and into his bedroom just in time as the boulder rolled by. “What the hell was that?!” Sonic: Well, that was quick! A little too quick for even Sonic to react against. He crashed against Silver with an "Oomph!" and was just lucky that the warp would have closed behind them. This wound them up near the dungeon but at least Sonic was given a break against his followers. He sighed heavily, laying against Silver momentarily aas he looked down at him. He smirked, "Took ya long enough." He was almost too late again! The blue hedgehog got off of him but took his time if just to be a playful nuiscence. Nack: Shortly after the impact, he turned his head to see a giant, egg-shaped, awkwardly rolling boulder coming right towards him. He wanted to scream, but was interrupted by somebody suddenly pulling him out of the path of DANGAH. It was Jet, the same person who hit him. He recognized the extreme board. He promted to thank him for saving his life. "'ey, thanks bud, you're a life saver! ...The green apple kind. Those are so good." ... Off he went into the hole after sonic. He was sure there was nothing to slip him up in this room. ...Hopefully. Again, the hedgehog was in his sights. For a quick shot, he aim and triggered, no scope. The shot was head-on this time. Nack smiled as the tranquilizer shot through the air, heading for that dreaded hedgehog. The shot was right there, RIGHT THERE! Nack stared at the site the blue hedgehog was once at, and stared at the Tranquilizer on the wall, jaw dropped. "Eh...what the heck just happened?" He stated, mad, confused, and shocked, all at once. Silver: Grumble. That remark was a little uncalled for. Pushing Sonic off since he seemed to be taking his sweet time getting off of him, he stood up and brushed off some imaginary dirt from his quills. "Yeah, you're hilarious. I get it. Everyone who was down here is now somewhere safe. Now let's go before whatever that thing was chasing you comes back." Traconian: He snarled out in rage as a warp ring sent away the blue hedgehog, hissing and quickly returning to where he started. Staying within the walls and floors to be hidden. Heading to go...and check the dungeons. Surely that is where the hedgehog has gone. Sonic: He let himself be pushed off and climbed to his feet with an innocent smile. He wasn't all fun and games though. Now definitely wasn't the time to be acting foolish. Despite his exterior, the blue hedgehog always seemed to know what he was doing. Right now, he couldn't agree more with Silver. "Take me to them." Looks like this was going to be a start of a great rebellion. Silver: Nodding and opening up his Warp Ring, he hoped this thing wouldn't die on him soon. Silver stepped aside and let Sonic go in first to the place where he'd taken the freed prisoners. As he was about to step in after him, he caught something out of the corner of his eye. Glaring, it was that same creature that had been chasing Sonic before they fell through the Super Warp. What the heck was it? Silver didn't want to stick around to find out. As quickly as he could, he followed after Sonic and closed up the portal so the creature couldn't follow them. Traconian: He shrieked and snarled as they escaped, fur bristling in agrivation...but this wouldn't be the last of him they'll see. Next time..he may just kill them in their sleep. Slowly he slinked back into the ground...returning to his 'master'. Jet: Jet had followed Nack into the hallway, but wasn’t quick enough to see Sonic disappearing into the warp ring. He stared at the bounty hunting weasel, curious as to what he had been aiming at with that tranquilizer gun. “Yeah.. What the heck did just happen?” Nack: Nack was startled out of his shock by the sound of Jet's voice. He turned around. "He was right there..." he pointed to the site where the hedgehog once was, "...then he wasn't." He looked up to the ceiling. "Am I dreamin'?" Jet: He looked in the direction Nack pointed, noticing the tranquilizer stuck in the wall. Who was he talking about? Must have been Sonic. Jet did catch a glimpse of something blue dash by earlier, but it was going too fast to see. Yup.. diffidently had to be that annoying hedgehog. Nack wasn’t dreaming. Sonic must have ran away too quickly. Jet was completely clueless as to the warp ring Sonic had disappeared into. “We’ll catch him! He’s got to be somewhere! I doubt he got out of the castle!” There were traps all over the place. Then again this is Sonic the Hedgehog we’re talking about here. It was possibly the nuisance was long gone by now. Traconian: The demon rose up near his master, growling with irritation. "..I am sorry to inform you...but Sonic the hedgehog escaped." uttering out, eyeing Robotnik. Knowing the good doctor never wanted the hedgehog to escape... Eggman: Eggman slammed his fist into the wall, and then began cursing, because it hurt a lot. "Go get him!!!" He yelled. "The rodent loose is the last thing I need!" Unfortunately, slamming his fist into the wall activated another trap, and the arrows began to fly, dealing no damage anyway to either Eggman or Trac, but possibly to those further on in the hallway. "You are my best. Find him. Bring him to me," he frowned. Nack: Nack sighed. He turned to Jet. "What are we gonna tell Eggy? He'll kill us!" He then hit the ground and started flailing. "I was so close! I was right there!" Jet: Oh gosh. He had completely forgotten about Eggman. What wrath would he unleash upon them for letting Sonic get away? Jet did not want to think about it. He threw his overboard in front of him, where it levitated a few inches off the ground do to air that was now shooting out from underneath it. He leapt on top with practiced ease. “I say we don’t give up. We’ll turn this castle upside down looking for Sonic if we have to!” He had a look filled with determination. “Hop on!” He had never rode this board with someone else before, but he was sure he could do it. No worries. Nack: "We probably won't find him by the time Eggy finds out...if he hasn't already." Nack replied. He got back up on his feet, seeing Jet's signal to hop onto his board. "But, I'll trust ya. Maybe we can find Sonic." Suddenly, Nack was shaken by some odd disturbance. Eggman must've found out. "HURRY UP!" He urged Jet. Eggman: Eggman waddled along the hallway, not even noticing the chaos, trying to find a cup of coffee. Where were his servants when he needed them??!
