Dr. Quack: " Here we go ... " There was an unusually high amount of patients in Tommy Turtle (*Shudder*) Memorial Hospital today. That was because there had been a terrible accident at one of those extremely dangerous Extreme Gear Races. Everyone except for the racer in dead last was caught in the incident and suffered a seriously strange side effect. Amnesia. Dr. Quack had no idea how long it would last or whether or not they could regain their memories but he figured that perhaps the only one who managed to escape unscathed would be able to help them jog their memories. That was the only reason why the doctor let a thief like Jet into his hospital.

All of the patients were resting on stretchers in a large lobby on the upper floor. They did not have serious injuries outside of a nasty blow to the head so they would be released soon as they regained their memories.

Jet: Jet sat impatiently in the waiting room of the hospital "Tch..." Everyone except the self centered hawk had been caught up in an accident. Why should he care? He just wanted to leave, but Dr. Quack had insisted he stay. Something about helping them regain their memories.

Sonic: All he knew was that he had one heck of a headache and he was in some kind of hospital. People seemed to be calling him a funny name. Sonic? Alright, whatever works. At least everyone seemed friendly enough. He wondered what happened? He wasn't really too panicked about the idea of having forgotten... everything. The doctor first reassured him that his memories would return at some point. He still seemed to retain that optimistic personality because he wasn't sweatin' it none. He didn't like the idea of just sittin' here though. He needed to get up and move around but his headache and the doctor encouraged otherwise.

Rouge: The bat just laid down on a bed and stared into a room with all kinds of medical tools, there was also a nurse watching over her, making the girl feel quite uncomfortable and vunerable since she couldn't forget a single thing that had happened before...it was just blank, she felt confused and refused to talk to anyone, she just stood quiet, lost in thought.

Miles: Miles stood by the windowsill, trying to put thoughts together. The doctor tried to get him to lay down, but he ignored them and kept standing. As the doctor left and he let off a heavy sigh and stared off into the distance.

Jet: The room was dead silent except for the sound of the hawk tapping his foot impatiently against the cold and recently polished floors. He got up from his seat and turned to leave when a nurse tapped his shoulder and told him that some of his friends had woken up. "There not my friends.." He grumbled to himself as the nurse led him to the room the others were assigned.

Dr. Quack: Dr. Quack looked at Jet pointedly. " Friends or not you're probably the one one who can help them now. Maybe you can start by ... " Gosh. How should he even put this in words? It wasn't often that he got to treat a case like this. It wasn't often he got to treat a case at all! " ... telling them who they are and maybe what they were doing at the time of the accident? "

Jet: "Why do I have to do this?! I dont care about these losers! Especially that blue rat!" Then an idea struck him. They dont remember who they are. He could use this to his advantage or maybe just to get in a few laughs. "Ok fine I will. Just leave the room first." And with that he pointed to the door.

Dr. Quack: Needless to say that Dr. Quack was skeptical of leaving the room, especially after the 'rat' remark. Regardless he knew that getting Sonic and the others back on their feet was very important 'less something bad happened and they not be able to act. " All right. " But he would issue a warning to the patients just to be safe. For that he called out over the room. " If you need anything just push the button on the wall! " That included the seemingly inevitable plummeting. With that Dr. Quack went to get some lunch.

Sonic: As Jet entered the scene and the doctor was out, the Quack should've known to supervise. Sonic turned his attention towards the bird that came in, ears up. A friendly smile dawned his face, completely oblivious as to who this stranger was, and apparently not hearing that last remark. He already assumed that Jet knew him though. He seemed to be rather popular around these parts but he hadn't gotten all of the details yet. "Hey," He greeted, looking him over. He wasn't dressed as any nurse or doctor. "Are you a friend of mine?" He looked embarrassed to ask if not a little apologetic.

Jet: "Suuuure I'm a friend of yours. Best friend actually. Hurts you dont remember your pal Jet." He grabbed a chair, faced it toward the bed, and sat down on it, giving Sonic a small smile. But he was really boiling with hate for the blue hedgehog.

Sonic: The others around him couldn't fill him in but if this guy was his best friend, he bet he could! "Sorry, bud. I can't even remember my own name. Or rather, wouldn't have if somebody hadn't told me already. Heh." He rubbed the back of his head a little, scratching an itch above the bandage that currently occupied the region. "So what happened anyway?" Seemed to be quite an accident if there were others who were involved with the same condition as him.

Miles: Miles broke his trance from the outside and looked over at the two. A conversation between two people that didn't include a doctor involved hadn't happened much. He didn't know why he was here, but everyone in here seemed to know about the same thing. Nothing. But he was different. 'The look in his eyes, he knew what was going on, he wasn't in wonder. If he did know the blue hedgehog he might know what happened to the rest.'

Traconian: He was awake, ears perked up....however was not Mephiles. Golden hedgehog...echidna thing, watching everyone with intense curiosity with wide golden eyes. Unable to remember anything but being slammed in the head by some sort of speeding flying board thing. The blue hedgehog seemed more interesting. Wondering where he was, what everything was.....who was that blue hedgehog?? Blue was a pretty color. Slidding off of the bed and starting to...unsteadily cross the room. "Hiyu?!"

Jet: "I dont really know the details. Explosion maybe. Your all probably wondering what you were doing before the accident, hm? We were in a race, and I was too far ahead of you all to get caught up in...whatever happened. If you had been faster you wouldnt have ended up here." Jet couldnt help but smirk as he said this.

Rouge: Rouge stared at the new arrival, she was being filled with curiosity and impatience since somehow she seemed to think that the green coloured hawk would be able to answer all of their doubts which was all that she wanted for the time being: Answers,

Sonic: He seemed awfully... amused. Sonic was a bit taken aback by it. If this was his friend, shouldn't he be a little more sympathetic? Well, maybe he was reading too into things. "Interesting." He wondered what happened at the end of the race exactly. At least he found out another thing about himself. He was about to ask something else when he got a little sidetracked. Seeing the other individual coming over, he offered a grin. Guess that charm was just natural. "Hello there." But no sooner did he greet did he have his eyes on the hawk again. "So can you tell us all a little about ourselves? Maybe it'll help jog some of our memories." That's what the doctor indicated before, anyway.

Jet: Jet turned his attention to the..echidna..thing as he walked over. 'Interesting creature.' His attention snapped back to Sonic as he asked him to tell him more about who they are. "You, Sonic, have always been like a little sidekick to me. Always following me around, and looking up to me for my skills with extreme gear." His eyes shifted back to the echidna. "And you...I dont know you." The hawk stood up from his chair and pointed at the bat. "I dont know you much either, but I know your a treasure hunter." He blushed a bit as he noticed how much she was staring at him, and groaned in annoyance at himself for it. Then he pointed to the fox. "You also follow me around and would look up to me." Oh, how horrible he was to fill their heads with lies, but it was fun.

Miles: Miles stared at the hawk. Sidekick huh?... "So...why are you so great compared to us?..." He slightly glared at him. He didn't know if he was right or not, but as the only resource of information he had no idea if it was false. He glanced at the others quickly to see if they were as suspicious as he was.

Sonic: "Sidekick?" Sonic took this all in, considering whether or not he liked it. He supposed it was alright. He wasn't sure he liked the idea of being labled like that though. Apparently Miles didn't either. He glanced at the fox, trying to look reassuring. Surely, the doctor wouldn't let someone in that didn't have good intentions.

Jet: "I'm the fastest there is on extreme gear." He crossed his arms over his fluffy chest and held his head up high. Of course he was superior. He was Jet the Hawk and leader of the Babylon Rouges. "Not my fault you decided to follow me around. Though I did enjoy the comany"

Sonic: "Extreme gear?" Sonic questioned, looking at him funny. "What's that?" Guess it was whatever they were racing on. If this guy was the fastest as they say, that was pretty cool. But he bet if he tried hard enough, he could probably be faster. "Have I always raced? What else do I like to do?" He looked positively interested in all of this. Seeing as how it was like he was hearing it for the first time. The more Jet could tell him about his life, which included friends and family, the better. That went for everyone else as well.

Jet: "Well, Blue, If you want to know what extreme gear is I suggest you try to out for yourself. Why dont we have a race?" Jet was just itching to beat Sonic in a rematch and seeing as how the hedgehog had lost his memories that possibly included his abilty riding extreme gear. "Oh, and as for the stuff you like..er.. you like chili dogs."

Sonic: "Chili dogs, huh?" Now that he thought about it... Something was coming back to him. Oh yeah, he totally craved one of those. As for a race though... "The doctor said I had to take it easy for a while." Considering he had hit his head awfully hard and all. But a race sometime in the near future did sound like fun!

Sally: Honestly. She had been only been gone for a little while, and now, according to Doctor Quack, everyone apparently has gotten amnesia. Sally had to wonder how all of these weird things happened when she was away? No, no… that wasn’t true. It happened when she was around as well.

Anyway.

Based off of what the doctor had told her, Jet was the only one who hadn’t been affected. The princess wasn't entirely familiar with the hawk, but she was aware that he was a tad… obnoxious. And that was putting it lightly. No doubt, he was probably causing unnecessary trouble. Freak accident or not, who knows what he could’ve told Sonic and the others now! He may have not been necessarily evil, but still…
chiritarisu2013 (9:44:32 PM): Briskly opening the door to the room of which everyone was in, Sally frowned scanning the room, instantly spotting Jet talking to Sonic about some sort of race with Extreme Gear. What was that? Doctor Quack had advised her not to enter, although even she could tell that he was wary about the green male as well.

“Um, excuse me?” the chipmunk cleared her throat, crossing her arms across her chest. Her stern gaze plainly showed that she was not amused by his antics. “I do hope that you haven’t been lying to everyone here.”

Of course, he most likely was. And if he was, then it looks like she would have to take care of things. Hmph.

Jet: He turned around to face the new arrival. Who was she? He did not know, but he did know she looked pretty pissed. How dare she accuse him of lying..even if he was. "Now why would I do something like that?"

Sonic: Sonic looked dumb founded for a second. Was his best friend just messin' with 'em? Or if that was the case, was he his best friend at all? ...A better question was... who was this girl? A sly smile started to spread across his lips. He was up and out of that bed, disregarding Dr. Quack's orders like he hadn't said them at all. In no time, he was standing by the chipmunk. He was even so bold as to put his arm around her. Now Dr. Quack surely informed Sally that Sonic was included in those that had amnesia. But one might not even suspect it with that aggressive attitude. "Hello there." He completely ignored the bird who was callin' her out. He had his own questions to ask. "Who are you? My girlfriend? If not, you could be." Winkwink.

Miles: Miles snickered at Sonic's pick-up line. Even though they didnt remember anything, he at least new things like that didnt work on girls. He sat back on the windowsill and watched as Sonic ogled over the chipmunk

Nurse Jaky: The nurse came by with the charts and a thermometer. "Good afternoon boys," he chirped happily. "You all seem to have gotten into a tussle. No, how about we work on getting your memory back?" He fished some crayons out of his scrubs. "We'll put memory charts up next to your beds, and -" he paused and stared at Sonic. "BACK IN BED!!!" He swept the confused, poor patient back into bed, and tucked him in with a stern look on his face. "Nurse Jaky is in. This is my wing, and you will not be picking women up on my watch." He turned to face the parrot with a wide smile. "Welcome! You're a visitor? Have you filled in your visitor's form? Is this your first time here? Do you want an orange juice from the cafeteria??"

Sonic: Oi! Just who did this guy think he is? Sonic huffed as he was forced back to the bed, making a 'call me' motion up by his ear with his hand. His arms crossed from there over his chest, looking thoroughly irritable. "I've been laying in bed all day." He grunted, his patience wearing thin. If anyone knew the blue hedgehog at all, they'd know that he didn't have very much patience to begin with.

Sally: Sally could see right through his façade. That innocent face didn’t fool her… now she was positive that he was taking advantage of their memory loss. An angry vein throbbed at her temple. That was just so immature.

Rolling her eyes, she retorted, “Why would—

Her attention was instantly diverted to the blue hedgehog suddenly beside her, casting him a flat look. Repressing her urge to smirk at his antics. “Are you sure you have amnesia?” He couldn’t have, with that lame pick-up line. Jeez. Stepping away from his grasp, she rolled her eyes, releasing a sigh.

“I’m Princess Sally, rather Sally.” She looked away for a moment. “Or, Sal, as you usually call me.”

“BACK IN BED!!!” The chipmunk turned to face the abrupt voice, her eyes widening slightly in surprise when the eccentric nurse swept Sonic back into bed. Nevertheless, she couldn’t help but chuckle at her comment.

“Nurse Jaky, was it?” the princess inquired, raising a hand. “Hello. How is everyone coming along? Is the amnesia going to wear off soon?”

Nurse Jaky: "I'm just taking temperatures. The attendant will be along shortly with juices and coffee, if you are interested in refreshments. We also have a cafeteria with a terrace overlooking the forest, if you would be interested in going there instead." The nurse pulled a lollipop out of his pocket and stuck it in Sonic's mouth. Cherry flavoured. "Enough talking from you, dear!" He patted the boy's head. "Don't need his temperature. We know he's already a bit of a hot-head, and his metabolism has thus so far foiled any attempt at getting an accurate reading."

He moved on to the next bed, looking over the patient carefully, and jamming a thermometer into their mouth. "This is the total amnesia ward. It's not like the short-term ward. Everything is wiped." He paused, and furrowed his brow, recording the temperature. "No, I shouldn't say wiped. It's locked away, and you need certain things - triggers - to unlock it, in bits and pieces. It's like... knots on a rope. Every memory is connected, but you need to undo a knot to get to the next one. Shadow was here for almost a year," he said with a smile

Jet: The hawk's eyes shifted to the nurse, to Sonic, and then back to the nurse again, watching as he was snatched away from the chipmink and tucked into bed. Then the nurse turned to face him and bombarded him with questions, irritating the green bird rather quickly. "Yes, yes I'm a visitor! And I don't want any of your orange juice!" Clearly he had left his manners at home.

Amy: Amy blinked and stared at the therometer as it went into her mouth and then after it was taken out. "Sh... Shadow?" She asked confused to who it was. She kind of was in a daze over everything, it was so confusing. She just wished she could remember something!

Sonic: Sonic didn't like this nurse. Nope, not one bit! Way too pushy for a free spirit like him. He wanted out of this bed and to go off and do his own thing with that princess. Was that so much to ask? Maybe he might race that bird too later. He was really confused as to who he was now though. He tried to focus on one thing at a time. Those bright green eyes kept going back to the chipmunk. ...That is, until a lolli was stuck in his mouth. "I--mph!?" He blinked, gawking up at him with furrowed, angry brows. Sonic reached his hand to take it out... but after rolling his tongue around the small ball of the lolli, he realized he enjoyed the taste a little too much. He just started sucking on it with a flat expression.

Sally: She shook her head politely. “No, thank you, I’m fine. I ate before I arrived actually.”

While this nurse seemed to know what he was doing, Sally couldn’t help but not overlook his eccentric nature. He really was being too pushy for dealing with patients with amnesia. Even so, it wasn't her place to question it him on his method of work. She didn’t want to come off as rude or bossy.

“Wait, so their amnesia isn’t short-term?” the auburn-haired chipmunk questioned, a hint of exasperation in her tone. What kind of accident –did- everyone get involved in? This was serious, now. “Well, how long does it usually take to find these… triggers? What are they exactly? Remnants of one’s past or something like it? A specific memory?”

The princess followed the nurse around, idly noticing Sonic looking at her interestedly. She chuckled, casting the hedgehog a soft smile and wave when the nurse wasn't looking. She had to admit he looked adorable sucking on his lollipop. Even though, he looked like a big kid. But then again, he did act like a big kid. Heh.

Ignoring the hawk’s rudeness with a huff, Sal glanced expectantly at the nurse. “Is there anything I could do to help? I’m familiar with most of the people here, if that means anything.”

Jet: So many Mobians, and he didnt like a single one. Jet sighed to himself. No reason for him to be here anymore. The chipmunk would ruin everything if he tried lieing to the patients again. Besides he already had his fun. Without saying goodbye he simply walked out the door and left. He would most likely see Sonic again sometime soon anyway, for another race.

Nurse Jaky: Nurse Jaky bent over Miles, and stuck the thermometer in his mouth next - nevermind the fact that it hadn't been cleaned from the last person. "Yeah. Long term, unless they can find a trigger, like I said. But since you know Blue here, you could probably help out. Bring something that he likes or hates strongly, a pet, or something. Maybe an old photo. Say the right world. Then things begin to click." He turned back, grabbed the thermometer, recorded it, and stuck a lemon lollipop in the kid's mouth with a practiced motion. "At first, they thought I was a bit to abrasive. But I'm the best sort for the Ward. The patients want to leave. And I get things done." He shrugged. "By the way, amnesia patients are prone to fits of extreme anger, violence, and intense mood swings. This will tucker them out, and they probably won't remember it, so I would tread cautiously here, Princess."

Sonic: Sonic's ears perked up as he listened to the nurse. He held onto the stick of the lolli, pushing it in and out of his mouth as he considered what he was talking about. The taste gave him something else to focus on and relax a little more so he wasn't jumping out of the bed again right away. But in the end, it still wasn't enough. He put it to rest on one corner of his mouth so he could talk more clearly. "That's a great idea!" He interrupted briefly, "You could show me around the city, help me get to know things better." Sonic smiled encouragingly at Sally. ...Or was it suggestively? He let the nurse finish but huffed dismissively. He was pretty sure he was emotionally stable.

Rosy the Rascal: Suddenly a flash of light formed in the middle of the room and a swirling vortex type thing appeared. The wind seemed to blow from it as it swirled around. Wush...! -
"Heheheheheh..." An evil, psycotic laugher was heard from inside the vortex. "Hehehehehehheheh!"

Nurse Jaky: "What the he--" The nurse dropped the thermometer and turned, scowling. "What are you doing in here? Stop that ruckus, at once! Have you filled out your visitor's form? No?" He smirked, and held up his fist. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave, very quietly. If not, then I will punch your ticket. You are scaring the patients." He was only a Nurse on the weekdays. It was a decent job which didn't require too much work, violence, or attention, and it paid the rent. But he did so enjoy making people leave. It was one of the last few pleasures in life.

Sally: The princess listened intently to the nurse’s explanation, standing by as he stuck a lemon-flavored lollipop in Miles’ mouth, before moving on. “Ah, yes. Sonic and I are very good friends.” A lot closer than she would care to admit. “I’ll see if I can conjure up anything with him first.” Sonic was the type of guy you had to give it straight to, lest chances were low that he would understand. She waited until he was done speaking before turning back to Sonic, trying think of what she could say to jog his memory. His “trigger”. What was his trigger? “Thanks for warning. I’ll keep that in mind.”

Even if he was ridden with amnesia, Sally doubted he would hurt her. Though, once again, it wasn’t her place to question the doc—nurse’s orders.

A broad smile crossed her lips as she approached the hedgehog, giggling at him babbling about her showing him around the city and getting to know her. “That sounds more like a date to me.” Not that say that she wouldn’t consider it. Shaking her head, she declined his notions as she sat toward the end of his bed. “A date I’m going have to turn down, I’m afraid.” She rolled her eyes at his smile. Jeez. Must he be so forward with everything? “Hope about we just stay here, and… talk?”

She pressed a finger to her chin. ‘Okay, how should I go about this?’ Her gaze shifted toward the maniacal laughter suddenly appearing in the middle of the room. What the… what was that? No, stay focused!

“Look at me, Sonic. Think hard. Do you… remember anything at all?”

A weak attempt, yes, but it was something right? If talking didn’t work, she could always go down and retrieve some item precious to him or something.

Sonic: "Just really good friends?" Sonic seemed only a tad concerned. Perhaps he could get her to change her mind. It was a meek inquiry he managed to mumble when she came over to sit by him. He pulled the lolli from his mouth, crunching something and swallowing it down. Didn't take him long to consume it and now the only thing left was the stick! He placed it aside on a stand nearby and sat up more. As much as he wanted to go out and do something, he supposed he'd have to settle for stickin' around this place a little longer. "No, I--" When he started to answer her question, he paused. His ears pinned back and a nervous expression flickered across his face. Unlike her, he couldn't ignore the light that was shining and the laughter coming from it. A portal... What the heck? Something struck fear in his chest. That voice... It's like something was coming back to him. He didn't like it! "What's... Who is that?"

Rosy the Rascal: "Heheheheheheh.... Scourgie? Scoooourgie? Ooooohhh pretty shiny! Must smash shiny! Smashie, smashie! Heheheheh!" The laughter continued, it seemed louder and closer at this point. "Heheheheh."

Nurse Jaky: He tossed that annoying huge scrub shirt off, finding it easier to fight without it. And unlike the pregancy ward he was last assigned to, doing so generally didn't follow with mass nosebleed. "Leave, now."

Sally: That maniacal laughter was beginning to creep Sally out. If memory serves correct, then that means someone from another dimension was coming. Although, she could tell from the tone of the voice that it was one of a child, which is why she initially dismissed it before.

Big mistake.

Actually, now that she listened to it, it sounded… very familiar. It was reminiscent to that of Amy’s voice only with a crazier edge. “…Rosy?!” Sally’s cobalt eyes shrunk to dots, a bad, frantic feeling settling in her chest. “Why is she appearing here of all places? HOW was she even coming here?”

The pink hedgehog with that deadly hammer of hers could easily destroy this whole vicinity, let alone frightening everyone! She turned back to Sonic, taking in his bewildered expression. “Rosy the Rascal, if I recall. She’s from the alternate reality of our planet, Mobius, Moebius.”

She swallowed her focused gaze centered on the portal. “Let’s just say that she likes to smash things up. Although, perhaps, I’ll be able to talk her out of doing so.” The princess tried to hide the reluctance out of her voice, but heck… this was one crazy kid they were about to deal with.

Rosy the Rascal: "Heheheheheh! Wha?! Shiny no squshie?! MUST SQUISH SHINY!" The wushing sound of something being swong around repeatedly at fast speeds was heared when suddenly a loud BANG! "uuuuuuuuugggggh! Hey! Bad shiny! ME SQUSHIE!" She yelled as she ran at the shiny, swinging at it like crazy when she finally popped out of the portal, falling flat on her face from the little drop from the portal to the floor. "owwie...." She mummbled and her hammer hit the floor after her head. The portal closed up and vanished after she passed through. "ughhhh...."

Amy: Amy blinked as the person came through the portal, at first she was so scared by the weird laughter and the noises, but seeing the person it almost scared her more. She looked at her, and then at herself, then back at the girl, feeling her head and her hair. "Wait a minute. That girl. She.... Sh-she almost looks excatly like... like ME!"

Nurse Jaky: KIIIIICK!!! Nurse Jaky's foot connected with her face. The world seemed to slow down for the echidna. Her face bouched, skidded across the floor, her body dragged along with it, hands losing grip on hammer, feet a good yard off the floor, expression intensely confused. She slammed into the wall, leaving an indent. The hammer followed. The nurse found himself praying - 'Face face face'. The hammer went straight for her nose. Beautiful. He stood over the fallen girl. "Please leave this ward at once. Visitors passes may be attained at the help desk on the first floor in the lobby. Take the first elevator on the left down that hall, please." He held a fist up. "Have a nice day."

Amy: "What do you think you're doing?! Doing that to a poor girl. You should be ashamed of yourself! You're a NURSE! You're job is to make people better! You shouldn't get more people hurt!" Amy yelled out, quickly getting out of her bed to help the girl, almost out of instint. "Hey... are you alright?" She asked politely and calmly. "Did you get hurt?"
