Scourge: Admittedly Scourge wasn't talented like his mother and father proved to be in this field. His mother Bernie was the one who did the landscaping for this park. Jules did landscaping for the public slave park on the far side of the Kingdom. The area around the estate was a collaborative effort between them since it was the house that was built after their wedding. Scourge hadn't yet made any noteworthy landscape that he could truly call his own. He'd done exterior designs for buildings uptown and some renovations for the worn down buildings in the slums but that was about it. His first debut major project was going to be the new estate that was going to begin construction after his birthday. It was going to be a stressful assignment if only because his talent in the field solely depended on how good of a job he did coming out of the gates. Scourge looked back to them and noticed that Sonic was having a bit of trouble. He also noticed that he was relying entirely too much on support from Silver. " Let him go. " And he was serious about that judging by the way that he glared at the blue one. " He won't be able to walk right if he keeps leanin' on someone while he's healin'. " That meant that Sonic would have to walk on his own from here on out. And if he couldn't? Then he was going to be left behind. Silver: He winced when the master addressed him like that. And he was quite startled by the demand. Let him go? But Sonic could barely walk! How could... Oh. Lord Scourge wanted Sonic to get used to walking on his own. Understandable, but still...That was a little harsh. So soon? Throwing an apologetic look to Sonic, Silver slowly lowered him down and released him. Here’s hoping Sonic could handle it... Sonic: Sonic couldn't quite place what Silver was wanting out of him. By now, the idea of apologizing at all for anything seemed to have been further forgotten since it was something he was supposed to have done when he first came back. So much has happened, he couldn't help but have a busy mind. Memories and thoughts that did not relate at all to a sincere apology that he felt he should have given Scourge. If he would have remembered, however, he would have done so if not just to get by a little easier. So when Silver nudged him, it wasn't too hard to gain his attention. He looked over questionably. But at the same time, that's when Scourge addressed them as well. A heavy sigh, one that almost brought with it a request. How would walking now help him at all? If anything, it'd make things worse considering the fracture had only been treated hours ago, and the soreness was so fresh... He wouldn't argue despite the illogical sense it made. He knew he wouldn't get far and he couldn't risk anymore possible injuries. He was extremely lucky to be alive right now anyway. He should be dead in that alley. Struggling on both feet, he'd undoubtedly lag behind the two. Being completely left behind was a matter that would most likely happen as well. Sonic simply focused on getting by regardless of what that meant. If he couldn't keep up, he couldn't keep up. Scourge: Suck. It. Up. A little hike never killed nobody. They were almost there, anyway. Hidden by the landscape itself was a small building on the opposite side of the hill just outside of one of the cobblestone paths. The exterior looked rather simple. A wooden door surrounded by moss and rocks. He produced a key from his interior pockets to open the door leading inside where Sonic would finally be able to get some rest. The interior was something out entirely. He stretched out a bit before turning around to look at his two slaves. " This place - " He gestured out with his arms stretching wide. " - is also one of the places where you'll be allowed. It's one of our families' vacation homes. " Which made a bit of sense. No one was allowed in the park but the family so the family would be able to live here undisturbed. Silver: He waited for Sonic for a little while before being drawn into the house. Observing and pondering. Silver left the door open for the blue hedgehog (hoping Master wouldn’t get too mad). The place was huge. So much to explore. He wasn’t one for design, but he was certain this was one of the nicest places he’d ever seen. Silver felt somewhat honored to be allowed to stay in such a place. For how long was the question. "Did you...help with this design at all, Master?" Silver asked curiously. Or was it all his parents? It honestly didn’t matter either way but he would like to know. Sonic: Scourge didn't even know what kind of injuries he had! He could have multiple broken ribs, and walking each step could have the risk of one of them pressing into his lung or heart. But yeah, he'll suck it up. Not much of a choice he had there. With each agonizing step he took forward, he put on a pretty good mask to shield the pain that would have otherwise shown. Pain that easily reached his eyes by the time they arrived at this place. Just as nice as the rest of the scenery. He was just so unfortunate to be distracted by his own body's injuries and distress to really be able to soak it up and enjoy it all. The bed was what caught his attention the most. It looked far too comfortable. He wanted to try it out but stood awkwardly behind Silver, propping himself up against the doorway and trying to relieve some pressure. "Are we going to stay here for a bit?" He wasn't sure if they were or else he would have already sat down. Scourge: " Yeah. I did an structure and interior renovation on my sixteenth birthday. My folks don't use the gardens much anymore so they kind of gave it to me. They're too busy to bother themselves with their old projects, you see. " That would explain why there was a wine rack in the corner stacked not only with fine choices in wine but also cheaper beer. His parents were not heavy drinks like he was so they'd have no use for the aging rack. Scourge paid mild attention to Sonic as he hobbled his way into the door. Guy looked like he was in a lot of pain but he couldn't say that the hedgehog didn't deserve it. He bit the hand that fed him and he disrespected his superiors more times then he could count. Sonic had to learn his lesson no matter how rough it would be. He just couldn't continue to be rebellious when it came to dealing with the Free. Last night that foolishness almost got him killed! Following his line of sight to the bed he got a sinister idea. It just needed a bit of setup. " I get the hint. " He mumbled more to himself then to them before saying. " You can go lay on the bed. " Incidentally his command wasn't breaking regulations. It was perfectly all right for a slave to lay on the furniture when their Master gave permission. They just couldn't sit on it. " You too, Silver. " Just what was he planning? Silver: "Oh." Guess that did explain why there was an aging rack. Now that his curiosity was answered, Silver continued to look around, casting a glance at Sonic to make sure he was okay before going ahead. The blue hedgehog really looked like he needed to sit down. He was actually surprised when the Master let him. And on the bed no less. He was even more surprised when Scourge ordered him also to lay on the bed. Silver’s cheeks tinted pink at the sudden order but he didn’t think much of it for now. Obeying the order without question, he was more sitting up than laying down. Now the master was acting strange again, big surprise there. But still... Sonic: Lay, sit, Sonic didn't care which. He was limping over there the second Scourge gave him the okay. Too desperate to rest, he didn't take any oddness out of the idea. He barely got an hour's worth of sleep. Though he supposed he should have noticed something was up. After all, when has he ever been merciful towards him? Sonic sat down gently. Though the mattress was so soft, even that pressure added some annoying discomfort against his badly torn backside. He had to shift onto his side. Without having to be corrected, Sonic laid down. He would have sat if not for the fact he was so tired. If they were going to stay here a while, he'd nap and let them chat or whatever. As nice as the place seemed, it wasn't worth the torment his body was going under whenever he moved about. He never dreamed he'd ever feel this bad. It frustrated him. He loved moving fast, and was curious in his own right. Instead, his eyes were shut by the time Silver had came over to sit too. He ignored him. Scourge: Sonic wasn't going to be getting much rest. A small mercy was granted to the hedgehog in allowing him to get off his feet at all. That would not go without a price however. He intended on making the blue hedgehog work for a good rest before giving it to him. Scourge intended on spending a good amount of time here drinking to avoid his afternoon violin lesson. Benjamin wasn't authorized to come into the park to look for him. To make things even more surprising Scourge actually got up to get something himself without having to ask his slaves. He went into the cabinets behind the table to get a champagne flute and a bottle of white wine. Something light so he wouldn't be too wasted. One his way back to the table he began to hatch his wicked plan. " Aw. He looks exhausted doesn't he, Silver? " Scourge still didn't know his blue hedgehog's name but in the end he didn't think it mattered. He'd call one of them by name and refer to the other as 'him'. That worked. " Maybe you can do somethin' to make him feel better. " Surely a nice and compliant slave like Silver would do anything to help the other, right? " How about giving him a nice scratch behind the ear? " |

He almost didn't hear his master's demand. Once he did, Silver's already pink cheeks got a shade darker. Not exactly what he had in mind if he tried to help the worn out hedgehog... Yes he was nervous. Nervous Sonic would lash out at him, by accident or not. Blaze had scratched him behind the ears sometimes so he knew how it worked. Knew how he liked to be scratched. The question was if Sonic liked the same thing. Well looks like he was about to find out. It was an order from the master, after all. Mentally preparing himself, Silver reached out a hand and lightly touched Sonic in the appointed spot. Gauging his reaction. If he either didn't move or didn't protest he'd continue. |

Sonic: His eyelids felt so heavy. It was hard to open them when he thought he heard Scourge request something suspicious. His vision was already a tad blury given how easily he could have just dozed off right then and there. He strained to stay awake at the odd request. He didn't fully register it until he felt a hand on one of his ears. A gesture that felt so relieving and good, it embarrassed him immediately. A sweet spot that went a little beyond the range of comfortable. Uneasy about Scourge's intentions, he couldn't help but tip his head in his direction before reaching up and forcing Silver's hand at bay. He was at least gentle, just a tad startled. His ears pinned back protectively, looking up at the white hedgehog wearily. "I don't need any help, thanks." Really! Just a quick cat nap will do ... Scourge: Scourge figured that the ear would be a sweet spot on him. He liked getting scratched behind the ear himself. Carefully watching the reaction of his body, the expression on his face, and the end result he concluded that the hedgehog really did like it despite pushing that hand away. Must have been too much for him to handle. At this point Silver may have thought it was best to comply with Sonic's wishes but he forgot one very important factor. He just wasn't in any sort of position to make that kind of decision. " He's just being a little shy. " That was the truth based on the information that he gathered so far. This was what he was going to offer to Silver to get him to keep going. " Try and make him a little more comfortable by pulling his head onto your lap. Then keep scratching. " Master's orders. Silver: Silver almost let a protest slip out. Almost. Luckily he caught himself before he said something he’d regret. Orders were orders but this was just plain awkward. With his face turning more red by the minute, Silver tried to think of a way to do with without disturbing Sonic too much. Since he’d never been so close to someone like this before, not even Blaze, nothing came to mind. Okay, so he had to wing it. With slightly trembling hands, Silver gently pulled Sonic’s shoulders backwards so that his head would fall into his lap. Whispering "I’m sorry..." to the blue hedgehog before brushing one of those trembling hands behind his ear again and beginning to weave his fingertips through those sharp quills. Being a hedgehog himself, he knew how to handle touching sharp quills. But he had to question why he was trembling. Was he scared? Honestly, Silver didn’t know. He was mostly confused and questioning his master’s motives. But as said before, orders are orders. Sonic: Sonic looked highly disgruntled. The expression was almost comical at the knowing look he gave towards their so-called Master. He was not being helpful at all. If anything, he was just tryin' to set them up to make them feel awkward. Good job so far. Maybe, hopefully, he'd back off if he didn't protest Scourge's first order. Fine, he'd let him scratch his ear, despite how silly he felt about his head resting in his lap. It took a lot not to sit upright but given how intent Scourge was to see this done, he'd try to hold off for the time being. Hopefully the only hidden motives he had was the small amusement he'd get from this and this alone. "S'fine." Sonic grunted at Silver, some of his tension secretly relieved by the massage on his ear. At the very least, it helped distract him from some of his body's aches and pains. His eyelids were feeling heavy again as he tipped his head ever-so slightly, giving him full access to his ear. Thank goodness he was laying on his tail. He wouldn't be able to stop the muscle reflexes from wagging a time or two. Scourge: This was one of the many things that nobles did with their slaves whenever they were bored. Slaves were supposed to entertain their Masters more then anything else. In the high rungs of society they had servants and workers who took care of all the heavy lifting. What else were they supposed to do? For these two they had the misfortune of having been paired up with a young Lord with simple tastes. He liked drinking and he liked sex. Since one of his two needs were fulfilled with that champagne it was up for them to provide the other half. Scourge tried to sound like he was genuinely interested in helping his slave's recovery. It came with a certain tone. " Know what always makes me feel better after a bad day? " Surely they didn't but this would be good knowledge for later on. " A belly rub. Silver, why don't you scratch his stomach so he's able to relax more? " Silver: He actually stopped his scratching behind Sonic’s ears to pause. Making sure he heard right. He had, and the Master was serious. Even if Sonic had grudgingly accepted being pulled onto his lap, Silver had a feeling the blue hedgehog certainly didn’t want that. Well maybe he did, just not by him and not by an order. With a soft sigh, Silver moved his other hand onto the hedgehog’s stomach, pausing for a second, before grazing his hand over tan fur. It was barely enough to sift through the fur and he wasn’t touching the skin underneath. Wait for a minute to see what happens. He’d grown used to doing that by now. Sonic: Sonic wasn't used to being scratched on the belly. In fact, aside from maybe when he was a kid and by one of his parents to tickle him, he had never been scratched in such a manner. The blue hedgehog didn't get very far in the relationship field to practice many techniques or what he particularly liked in an intimate setting. His only time intimate had resulted in an emotional scarring that he struggled not to think about. Even now, he refused to admit to himself that Scourge planned on taking this any further than just makin' him feel silly. It was a good thing Silver was so careful when he caressed over his peach fur. Skin was badly bruised underneath which wouldn't make a belly rubbing very comfortable at all. He had been kicked in so many places, it was hard to find a place he wasn't bruised at this point. Aside from being ticklish, Sonic was concerned since that was one of his sore spots. He nibbled on his lower lip, trying to figure out how to handle the situation. It was hard to think. Again, a hand went for Silver's, and Sonic looked hesitantly over at Scourge. "I'm sick." Yes, maybe he'd take them home if he thought he might puke all over the place. "Can we please go home?" Scourge: Or maybe not. " You just got beaten within an inch of your life and you still don't know how to ask for things. " Scourge outright tisked at him as if he was really disappointed in what the other hedgehog. Given all that had happened today, yesterday, and the day before he'd grown to accept that he was always going to be slightly disappointed with the blue hedgehog. That's why he got the white hedgehog to help offset it. " You need to lay down for a bit and -shut your mouth- if you don't know how to speak to your Master. " He thought it was grounds for a physical reprehend but he didn't want to risk hitting Silver when he didn't deserve it. At least one of them was compliant. He huffed out a bit of a hot air to show his growing distaste towards the other. " Now be a good boy and let Silver pet you. If you manage to do even that much right I won't make you walk back to the house. " Goddess. He needed another drink now. This time he filled the champagne flute almost up to the rim and didn't wait for the bubbles to settle before downing it. It pained his heart to be so merciful towards someone who wasn't worthy of his kindness. Silver: The words ‘beaten within an inch of your life’ sent off warning signals in Silver’s head. Sonic looked hurt, yes, but he wasn’t aware the blue hedgehog could have died also. No wonder he was so tired and sensitive. If he looked hard enough, Sonic’s stomach fur was thin enough to see some of those bruises. He winced. That explained why the other didn’t want him touching there. "I’ll be as gentle as I can. Promise." If anything, he just wanted to avoid Sonic getting into even more trouble. If he truly was beaten within an inch of his life then he couldn’t afford to make any more mistakes like angering the master. Sonic: Sonic frowned. He said 'please.' What more did he want? ...Well, he supposed he had been neglecting calling him by a certain something. Or maybe he was supposed to kneel or something too. Not that he could muster the strength to do so. Regardless, Sonic knew he had to try to stray away from the bad side he tended to roam around on with Scourge. If at least to preserve what life he had left to get him through the rest of his stay here. If, for instance, his parents were ready to go now, he'd be dead weight. He couldn't get like this again but how could he avoid it if Scourge kept pushing him? At the very least, Sonic practiced with a very strained, "I'm sorry, Master." Man, that really did make him feel sick. A light tummy rub it was then. Reassured that Silver wouldn't be rough, he sighed and tried to relax. His muscles in his stomach were tight though in anticipation of the foreign contact against his fur. Though he had been washed up as best as possible in the time frame they had at the hospital, there was still some traces of blood if one searched hard enough. The seemingly random locations would be surprising. Scourge: Sonic was going to get a thorough bath before he was allowed back into the house. Whenever that was. Technically speaking Sonic was still on that heavy duty punishment that was supposed to break him into his new lifestyle. His earlier flubs convinced him that he just wasn't ready yet. A few more days of this and he wouldn't forget who was in charge here. The next few minutes were spent in silence. Sonic was going to get the time to rest that he knew that he needed while he threw back a few more glasses. In all he polished off three fourths of the bottle in a single sitting. Still not enough to give him any sort of buzz due to low alcoholic content. He checked his watch to ensure that he missed his music class completely before digging for his phone. The limo was going to meet them at the gates in five. Getting there was going to be a challenge with the limping hedgehog, though. " Okay, that's enough. " Scourge told them abruptly after polishing off his glass. Already he was getting on his feet. He only looked a little shaky when actually standing. " Silver, could you put the wine back on the rack for me? " Green needed a moment to stretch his legs. Then he approached the bed ... |

Sonic wasn't the only one who was glad that was over. Immediately after the order was given Silver took his hand away from the other's stomach. He was about to put Sonic back down on the bed but noticed something on said hand. A few specks of red had seeped into his new gloves. Blood? He stared, almost in a daze, before Scourge gave his next order. "Er, uh, yes Master." Luckily for him he had no trouble addressing Scourge by his proper title (at least to slaves). Now he had something else to occupy himself with instead of thinking about what just happened. Waiting for Master to hand the wine bottle to him, Silver would then put it in its proper place. Leaving Sonic and the Lord alone for now. |

Sonic didn't particularly mind the rub so much if not for the idea that Scourge may request something else. Fortunately he didn't and he could relax. Poor Silver seemed just as awkward as he did to do it. He was nice, he could tell. He liked the hedgehog and could easily see himself being friends with him if not for Scourge's constant influence over either one of them. He didn't say anything as he departed though. He was glad Scourge finally seemed ready to lay off. However, he was a bit startled when the other headed over to him. He wondered if they were going to leave. He started to sit up so he could try to stand. Bending like that made him grimace but he quickly got over it. His side ached but what else was new. He could handle it. Had to. |

Scourge: Not a word was said when he approached. He just went ahead and did it since the chances that the other hedgehog would actually listen to a command were slim. The way his dominant arm quickly moved suggested that he was really going to strike him for one reason or another but he didn't. His arm snaked around to support his upper back and push him forward instead. His other arm was waiting to catch his legs so he could pick up him without much of a fuss. It happened so quickly that he hardly gave Sonic a chance to protest during the transition. Scourge idly adjusted him so he laid against his chest while Silver finished up his work. There was nothing against regulation that said he couldn't carry a slave. Quite the opposite. It was a completely acceptable way to transport the weak or stubborn ones. It was supposed to make them feel helpless. He looked back at Silver to give him another order when he turned to return from his job. " Can you get the door for us? " He wouldn't be able to do that now. His hands were full. Silver: "Mmm?" Curious as to what that noise was, Silver headed back immediately after his task was finished. Well this was...an interesting sight. Quirking an eyebrow at the strange picture but of course complied nonetheless. "Yes Master." Watching Sonic’s reaction before heading to the door and keeping it open for Scourge to walk out. How weird it must feel to be carried by your master! For Silver it was usually the other way around. Sonic: This wasn't at all as bad as what he was expecting. He wasn't sure why Scourge was about to hit him but flinched back like he would have. When he arranged him in his arms instead, he did admit, it was a little embarrassing. Just as much as Silver helping him though. Only because there was still a bit of independence he would have liked to have shown himself. However, if he had to choose, he would have applied for this method. They could not dream just how torn up his body felt. Sonic leaned into Scourge's arms, not about to protest. He laid his head against his chest, ears flattening as he carried him to the door. He curled up as much as he could and squinted his eyes, tempted to close them. Scourge: Scourge nodded Silver out the door after he opened it to indicate that it was all right for him to walk ahead. The door was designed to lock automatically when it closed on its hinges so they wouldn't have to worry about that. Since they didn't have to worry about Sonic slowing them down during the walk this time Scourge lead them around the scenic route by the gate. Turn here, and then there, and then keep going straight were ordered whenever they came to an intersection. This allowed them to see more of the park. A large lake with a waterfall that helped circulate the water through a filter and keep it clean in particular. There were even fish and swans living out of that lake. The guards at the gate opened it for them when they saw them coming. The limo was waiting just outside by time they got there. Had to be since they took a good twenty to thirty minutes to get there taking the scenic route. " Here. " Now that they were there Scourge handed Sonic to Silver so he himself could climb inside. Silver: Admiring the scenery was something Silver didn’t mind. He’d lost track of time when they finally made it to the limo. It only seemed like a few minutes when it was really half an hour. Strange when that happens. He held out his arms to hold the blue hedgehog while the master got inside the limo. Wow, deja vu. "Do you...need me to let you down?" He asked Sonic just before Scourge got in the car. Needed to make sure Sonic could even stand before setting him down. Sonic: Sonic actually managed to doze off in Scourge's arms on their way back. As much as he would have liked to have admired the landscape, he was just too tired. He was awake when they came back to the limo, however. As Scourge started to hand Sonic to Silver, he started to try to stand so he wouldn't have to hold him. He'd have to get into the limo too after all. If he had to walk before, he was sure he could stand a moment or two before getting inside himself. "It's okay." He assured, restraining a yawn and smiling instead. He gestured for him to get in before seating himself on the floor. Silver: "If you say so..." Silver watched Sonic get in first, just making sure that he could and wouldn’t fall over or something. Once the other was settled, Silver took his place on the floor as well. The master hadn’t told him to sit on his lap so the floor it was. Not that Silver really cared. He was used to it being this way. Sitting on the floor where he apparently belonged according to some people like a certain echidna. He could probably use some sleep too. Watching Sonic be so tired had caught on to him. Scourge: The practical reason why Scourge didn't let Silver sit on his lap this time became apparent when they got into the limousine. There was literally a mountain of paperwork waiting for him right next to his usual seat. Scourge only frowned slightly at the sight of it but he knew it was coming. It was the monthly invoice; a record of every Ring that had been spent over the last month in the manor and where the Rings went. They didn't track money because the Hedgehog Family was in financial trouble or anything like that. It was actually quite the opposite. By keeping a careful watch on their money they were able to actually turn a profit at the end of the year. Sure it was a boring and tedious chore he had to do for his parents but he had to do it to get an increase on his allotment next month. They just had to give him an allotment increase. How else was he to take care of these slaves? " Tomorrow morning you're comin' into town with me. First thing in the morning. " He pointed the tip of his pen to Silver without looking up from his work. " We need to see about getting you into a refresher's course. " That was a decent place to start when it came to getting these two read for the assessment a few months from now. " Then we can shop around for some nice things after, all right? " Bringing Sonic wasn't even an option after his abysmal behavior on their last shopping trip. He was too weak to make an all day trip anyway. They had to make one brief stop to deliver the paperwork before heading back home for the night. The sun was just starting to dip down in the sky to hint that it was getting later on in the day. It wasn't dinner time just yet but they would be having dinner within the next two hours or so. In the meantime there was just one more order of business before they were able to actually go inside of the mansion. The limousine actually passed the front of the estate and continued to drive down the driveway towards the back of the manor where it slowed to a stop. Scourge knew what was coming. He prepared himself with a heavy sigh as he dug into his pockets for the chain leash with one hand. The other hand felt around blindly for Sonic on the floor in front of him. After poking him to confirm it was him and not the other one he felt around for his collar to attach the leash. " Stay here, Silver. " He told his other slave firmly. " No matter what you see or hear do not leave this car. " Where were they going? |

Silver nodded almost immediately, ending with a soft "Yes Master," of course. Refresher courses would be just that, refreshing his memory of things that needed to be done and commands to be memorized. It wouldn't be so bad, he hoped. Feeling kind of bad for Sonic that he had to be left behind again. Last times he'd been left behind his hand had been burned and...well, something else that he had a sneaking suspicion of. Nothing concrete though. Staying in the car wouldn't be an issue. But staying in the car if Scourge expected him to see and hear things was a different story. Silver looked at his master in confusion, wondering what he could possibly be thinking of or what would be going on between Scourge and the other slave. But having no other choice, he nodded. "I will." Hmm, maybe he should plug his ears? |

The ride was a little more bumpy than he would have liked but Sonic managed to position his weight on his right hip and lean against the limo wall while they headed home. He wasn't paying attention to the fact that they had passed up the main entrance. His head was bowed a little and he was closing his eyes and trying to rest more often than not. He paid little attention to what Scourge said to Silver. He didn't mind so much being left behind on account of his injuries. If under other circumstances, he might have liked the idea of going out more. Now he was afraid of strangers looking at him again like those guards and what Scourge's casual reaction would be. No longer an empty threat to scare him with, he knew now Scourge had no conscience. As they pulled up and Scourge told Silver to stay, his body shivered at what he told him. He looked up at the green hedgehog, fretting at the thought that he was going to be hurt again. He wasn't sure how but he just knew that he was. Sonic tried to be brave. He didn't resist the leash being put on him and though he was afraid to leave the limo, he feebly climbed out with him. Where were they going? Sonic wasn't sure he wanted to know... |

Whether or not Sonic was injured at the end of this completely depended on him. Scourge was trying to establish himself as a Master who could be fair. He tried in vain not to lash out at his slaves long as they listened to him. Still he found his patience being tested with a particular blue hedgehog. It seemed that no one punishment was enough to get the concept that he was no longer in charge of his own life through that thick skull of his. Maybe after his latest endeavor he'd finally get the message. Scourge lead Sonic out. He gave a signal to the driver shortly before vanishing from sight. When the door to the limousine closed it also locked to ensure that Silver couldn't get out even if he wanted to. It was just an added security measure in that little exchange of theirs. So were were they? It looked like he took them to the far side of the property quite a ways away from the manor. A short narrow grassy pathway would give them some privacy apparently. Only when they turned the corner could they see that there was an interesting structure. He wasn't even going to acknowledge it just yet. Once they were out of the immediate sight of the limo Scourge yanked the leash around so Sonic was forced in front of him. He didn't care if Sonic fell to the ground or not. He just might end up there at the end of their exchange anyway. " So ... " Scourge started off. " ... is it true? " |

Sonic couldn't fathom what was going on inside of Scourge's head. He tried to though. He tried hard to read what he was thinking but he got nothin.' He supposed he'd find out in a moment but like most things, he was impatient. He might have started asking right away if he had been sure that whatever it was wasn't going to lead to him in more pain. Spotting the structure, it seemed familiar. Like a dog house of some sort. Sonic wondered if he was going to put him in there. He wasn't sure how disappointed he'd be at the thought of missing out on something comfortable to lay on. But he never expected to get it good here. Scourge seemed to just have it out for him ... and he was going to do everything he could to get along with him. When he pulled on his leash, Sonic's knees nearly buckled. He just barely caught himself, flinching in pain and looking ready to flinch as if he expected another blow. Instead, he said something that confused him at first. "Is... what true?" |

Scourge: " What you said yesterday. " Contrary to what Sonic may have believed at the time Scourge -did- hear what he said yesterday before those guards took him away. He'd heard everything and it was half the reason he wasn't able to sleep well last night. No, it wasn't because he actually felt guilty about what he did because he didn't. It was more because he couldn't imagine the possibility. Of all the things his parents have kept from him over the years this was by far the most bizarre. In case Sonic was in too much pain to remember he'd remind him. " That you were related to me an' all that. " He clarified as he dug into his pockets for something. For what? Perhaps it was something to strike him with depending on how he answered this question. " Seemed like a pretty random thing to say to save your hide ... " Sonic: Sonic was taken off guard. He didn't expect Scourge to bring that up now. He didn't think he had heard him or had just brushed it off as something hysterical he said before he was taken off. That's what he had hoped anyway after those guards told him that he would be killed. Sonic looked away, shaking his head, trying his very best to be convincing. He knew Scourge didn't feel guilty after the torment he went through. The hedgehog was a monstser, capable of anything without any sense of remorse or compassion. He knew he would kill him in a second if what the guards said were true. "It was random." Sonic mumbled, trying not to look him in the eye, afraid he wouldn't believe him. "But I was desperate. I was hoping it would catch your attention. That you would reconsider just so I could be questioned and taken home." Sonic shivered at the thought of what actually did happen. It was a devastating price to pay, not in the least fair. Scourge: Scourge's eyes narrowed sharply when the hedgehog began fumbling up an explanation for his earlier actions. Without much of a warning he yanked the hand that held his leash forward so he could catch his chin. Holding onto it firmly he forced Sonic's head up and back so their eyes could meet. To say that his expression was cold when he glared at him was a severe understatement. There was no love lost between them. That may have been because there was no love there in the first place. No matter how this transaction ended his feelings about the other hedgehog wouldn't change. He was nothing to him. The grip that he had on the other's chin tightened suddenly. If not for the thick cotton gloves that he wore on his hands claws would have dug into his flesh from the force he held him. " If there's one thing a Master can't stand more then anything else is having a slave who would -lie- to them. " That was true. One of the first things that a slave learned during their initial training was that they were to be completely honest about anything. Even if they knew their Master wouldn't like the answer they'd appreciate the truth more then a pleasant lie. What did that have to do with the current situation. " You probably did it thinking I was stupid and wouldn't notice but I did. Like Hell if I didn't. So now you're going to get punished, -again-! Know why? Because you still don't know when to quit with the whole talking thing. It's because you continue to open your mouth and protest when you shouldn't that I was able to catch you in a lie and have a reason to punish you. Either you lied to me yesterday and hoped that I wouldn't have caught it or you're lying to me now. " Uh oh. He didn't even ask him to be honest. " Well I'm going to get to the bottom of it. I sure as Hell can't count on you to tell me the truth. " Before Sonic could answer he shoved the hedgehog away to show that he was done with this fruitless discussion. Sonic: Sonic knew there was going to be some friction between them. Scourge was going to lash out at him for something. He fully expected it the second he asked that question. It didn't matter what he said aside from the fact that he could never admit to it. Not if he wanted to stay alive. He dealt with his intimadating grip, not even bothering to try to struggle or resist. He did still try to avert his eyes though, finding it very difficult to look into his brother's. It was only after Scourge pushed him away that he found himself brave enough to talk. "You're right." Sonic mumbled, trying his best to stay in character, to not bark at him for being such a horrible person. To ask him why and why again he could treat someone so coldly. But he knew he couldn't do that. "I'm sorry, Master. It was before, before I really understood just how much I need you." He wasn't getting mushy or anything. He simply meant that without him, he could be gettin' it from guys like those guards all the time. Or worse, be dead like he rightfully should be right now. "We look alike so it was easy to make up a connection like that." How could that not make sense? Though he had still lied, he hoped that would help convince him of his case that they were not related. "Again... I'm... I'm sorry. I just... I didn't want to go." He could barely speak of it but he strained to keep his voice steady and his face sincere. Scourge: Bull. Shit. The fact that he continued to spout this bullshit even after he caught him in the lie was more enraging then the fact that he lied in the first place. He should have just say 'sorry' and have been done with it. Instead he managed to pull at the very short leash that he had on his anger by trying to butter him up. Scourge wasn't asking him to pretend to like him. That was just too much to ask. All he wanted was for him to be honest with him! How could he ever learn to trust this individual if he couldn't even give him that much? Found it. Again he just moved without giving any indication as to what he was getting at. A step forward would close the distance between them. The hand holding onto the leash was going to let it go in favor of grabbing one of his ears? The other? It'd show what he was working with very briefly when it came out of his pocket. Something that looked like a long metal pole that extended with the push of a button. It also seemed to crackl- oh. It was a cattle prod. His first target had been the hedgehog side to give him one good one second jab and show him that he was indeed serious about hurting him. No more idle threats. Green pulled it back briefly only to jab it into the same side again. Running away from him or otherwise trying to escape would just make this worst. One way or the other he was going to hit him five times with the electrical weapon in rapid succession. He tacked an extra second onto each shock after the first as well. In a sense this was more humane then the bull whip which he didn't have because the pain would fade eventually. Sonic: He didn't exactly say he liked him at all. He could never even make that sound an ounce convincing othrwise. But what he did say was technically true. He did need Scourge right now, as much as he didn't like the thought. The only buttering he was trying to do was to prove to Scourge he could say sorry and call him by Master. That at least he had improved since the incident regardless if he wanted to or not. Who would ever want to be treated like this and say stuff like that? However, knowing the worst of what Scourge was capable of, he couldn't say he was surprised when Scourge started to torture him. The shock was breathtaking though. Especially the side he chose for it. The mending, or trying to mend fracture felt like it was shattering. His fur felt singed, his insides felt like they were on fire. His chest heaved but he couldn't get a breath. Reflexively, he did try to pull away but there was no way of avoiding it. There was no way to hold himself up either. He'd collapse, barely getting a breath enough to cry out let alone breathe. When he was done, his muscles felt sore and he could barely move. Scourge: Scourge wasn't done yet. A harsh kick was delivered to the side that he repeatedly shocked on top of that. It was a bit of an instinctive afterthought since he was sure that it wasn't needed to keep the hedgehog down for a moment more. After those blows were delivered he ensured that the other remained right where they were by planting his shoe on their back in between the spines. Pressure was applied gradually to the point where it might have felt that his ribs would be crushed if he went any further. A silent threat. " You must hate me by now, I'm sure. " He didn't really give him a reason to feel otherwise about his situation. Right from the get go Scourge had been outright brutal when it came to his treatment of him. " That's all right. I'm not too fond of you either, bro. I kind of wish I got that cute skunk a few places down from you in the line instead. In fact I would've if I knew that I was going to get Silver the day after. " He didn't expect for Sonic to give any response about his commentary. He just thought it was appropriate to share his thoughts on the matter before tethering him up for the night. The day after. Who knows? He just might forget the hedgehog is out here in the dog house. Green reached down for Sonic's leash to pull him along towards the building. If he didn't budge he'd give him a moment to collect his bearings. If he -still- didn't move or didn't move fast enough for him he'd lose his patience and begin yanking him along the ground. Sonic: Sonic cried out loudly when he was kicked. He was sure that any treatment the doctor gave him after those guards brutalized him didn't matter anymore. Sonic curled up to the best of his ability, trying to wrap his arms around himself and ignore the reflexive watering of those formerly bright green eyes. Hate was an understatement. The treatment Scourge was giving him was even worse than the feeling he wanted to express towards the other. Why he chose him to torture he wasn't sure but wished he hadn't. The only reason that made him want to stay here was knowing that his parents would come back for him. It certainly wasn't Scourge's hospitality. He was pretty sure the other didn't know what that was. "What can I do..." Sonic managed to wince, knowing he had been on Scourge's bad side because of the beginning. But now that he seemed willing to make a change, did it matter? It wasn't like he had him in his care for long, but Scourge acted as if he had never come across a new slave before. Perhaps this was how he treated all of his other personal slaves, however. No wonder his mom and dad faked their deaths to get them away from him. Scourge was a complete and utter sadist. Sonic struggled to get up but the pain he felt now against his side made him cringe and double over. He could barely pull himself over to where he knew he was going the second they got out of that limo. For the most part, yes, he was dragged. Scourge: There was precious little that he could do to save himself any further pain. He messed up big time by opening his mouth yesterday. His parents warned him not to tell Scourge or anyone else about his parentage for good reason. Kings and Nobles alike were merciless against members of their own family if they thought them to be a threat. The prospect that Sonic would be killed over his Noble blood to ensure Scourge was the sole heir for the House was a very real possibility now. Looked like Scourge was digging something else out of his pocket at the door of the pen. Sonic might see a flash of metal that was undoubtedly a blade in the hand that formerly held the cattle prod. Not good. He turned to Sonic and knelt down at his side. If he wanted to end him he could have right there and then. Instead he snapped out with the blade to deliver a shallow cut across his right forearm. The cut wouldn't be exposed to the air long. He clamped a piece of cloth (presumably a handkerchief) over it and applied pressure to stop the bleeding. He only needed a little bit of his blood. And just like that it was over. He wouldn't even tell the hedgehog why he did that. The truth of the matter was simple: he was curious. Tonight he'd go back into town and get a trusted friend to do some testing for him. If it turned out to be true then he'll have all night to think about what to do with his poor slave. Sonic: Sonic knew that he had messed up but he had no idea things would end up like this. When he saw that knife, for a second he thought Scourge was going to kill him. Instead, he felt the blade slice across skin, breaking it easily and drawing blood. He gasped, looking confused and tried to draw away, body shivering still from the punishment he had bestowed upon him. Sonic swallowed hard, realizing then what it was Scourge was doing. He might as well have ended it all there. As Scourge pulled away the cloth, he knew he was dead. He got a blood sample to see if their DNA matched. Who knows what would happen to his folks, how he'd react towards them. He was so brutal, he wouldn't be surprised if he'd lash out at them too. If he told what they did, who knows what kind of trouble it could get them in as well. Sonic had ruined everything and with nothing to show for. As the blue hedgehog was forced inside the dog lot and without menacing eyes to see, he broke down, miserable and alone. And certain to die there with the guilt and pain that he simply couldn't escape from. The hope he had of getting out of there was lost. Unlike his prime counterpart the blue hedgehog did not have a high pain tolerance, did not know the true meaning of never giving up, or have ever really experienced any disaster in his life whatsoever until this point. It was a shock to his system and agony for his mind to bear. What was the point of waiting now? Scourge: Scourge silently watched the blue hedgehog move into the pen. He closed the door behind him and made sure that it was locked. The added security measure in three padlocks was more to ensure that intruders to the property didn't get in rather then Sonic getting out. He knew better then to leave even if what little chance he had at a good life in his position was over. Whether or not he personally came back to check on him the following morning completely depended on the test results. The blood from the knife was wiped onto the cloth to add to the sample. Then he put the blade away on his way back to the limousine. While he could have ended his life there it could have lead to more trouble then it was worth with this new wench thrown into the equation. Scourge needed to know for sure before he could think about the best way of getting rid of him. It'll likely mean consulting Lord Finitevus who was more experienced with regulation then he was and also asking Benjamin for advice. One thing's for sure; going to his parents for advice was out of the question completely. OOC: And now some private downtime tonight. *Wink. Wink.* Next log will cover the following day. |

OOC: The next few posts will be the one on one with Silver and I. Scourge: Scourge didn't go back to the limousine immediately after dealing with Sonic. He used his speed to make a spit stop at the manor before coming back to inform the driver of a chance of plans. Looks like they weren't going back to the manor just yet. The samples of DNA needed to be delivered to a trusted physician in town first. Working on the inside the results were going to take about two hours. To save on the expense of going back and forth they'll just stay in town for the duration. The doors leading into the limousine unlocked about ten minutes after Scourge left. Sonic was not with him when he climbed back in to sit down. Tap. Tap. The small gesture to his lap indicated that it was all right for him to climb up there now that his hands were free. " Are you tired, babe? " It was hardly sunset outside but they did have a long day. If Silver was tired he needed to say it now so he could be dropped off at the front door. Otherwise he was going to head with him downtown. Silver: During the time both were gone, Silver hadn’t budged from his spot on the floor. His legs were crossed and his eyes were closed, as if he was deep in thought. Even with his psychic powers held dormant, Silver did have to gather his thoughts now and again. It seemed like the perfect time. And he could tell right away something was wrong if Scourge coming back without Sonic was any indication. He placed himself on his master’s lap before answering. "Yes...a little bit, Master." To add to it he yawned slightly though he tried to cover it up. Eying Scourge curiously and the question he was trying to ask was obvious. "Where is Son- er, the other slave?" He knew it seemed out of line but he couldn’t help but ask. Scourge: Moving into a prime position almost immediately Scourge wrapped one arm around Silver's waist to pull the tired hedgehog closer while the other started to gently stroke at his side. His gentle stroking now was a steep to how he acted with Sonic earlier. With that stroking Silver might notice the bandage on his right wrist. The bandage was covered by the sleeve of his jacket from a distance. In order to do the test he needed to provide a little of his blood as well. He was skillful enough with the act to know to cut the top side of the wrist lightly. Not the bottom. " Suppose you wouldn't be up for dinner in town with your Master, then? " That was where he was going after dropping off the blood work. To his favorite casual spot to kick back a few drinks and eat his favorite meal to relieve stress. Every time he dealt with the blue hedgehog it made his blood boil. Silver was another story. He was remarkably tolerant of his more cherished slave. When Silver asked his other question he looked at him oddly. " Who? " Scourge didn't even know Sonic's name. He didn't care to know it. When he clarified it became clear. " Oh. " He settled back into his seat with a heavy sigh. " Gone. He's gone. " Silver: Silver blinked, a little taken aback by Scourge’s offer. "If...you care to have me then I would be honored to, Master." It was another first for him. Never having enough authority to go out to eat in a restaurant. If he wasn’t so shy he’d probably enjoy it even more. "Oh..." Silver’s ears drooped when he heard the answer as to where Sonic was. "I see." He was sad that Scourge had given up on him already. What had happened to him? Was he already dead? Was he being tortured somewhere? More than that, what had they talked about? Silver eyed his master’s bandaged wrist, putting a gentle hand on it. "Did he...hurt you, Master?" Scourge: " No problem. " He knew that most slaves didn't get anything better then that gray or brown matter. Many more never got to leave their assigned area after arriving, either. Generally speaking even the lowest of Noble slaves received better treatment then common workers. Nobles had more money to invest in the care of their slaves. On this level it was also less expensive to take care of a slave already owner over several years then buy another when a slave reached their limit. There were very few slaves out there worthy of being owned by the people who ran the world. Turns out Sonic just wasn't one of them. Scourge noticed how downcast Silver became knowing the only other slave he'd met in the House would be gone. It almost made him feel guilty about his initial decision. He had every intention of euthanasize the blue hedgehog if the results came back positive. The backlash from the scandal would ruin him and this House. His chances of becoming King would be jeopardized as well. Still ... Scourge looked at Silver first keenly before he made his move. He stopped his petting for a moment to roll up the window that separated the passenger chamber from the driver's seat up front. The passenger's chamber was soundproof. He didn't quite want the driver to know about this little tidbit, either. " No, but it's a bigger problem. " Silver: And Silver listened. It made sense why Scourge was so concerned now. "I was wondering why he said that too..." It did seem like a random thing to say. Now he guessed Sonic was regretting it horribly. What in the world were the Nobles thinking? Having two children was bad enough. Hiding it was even worse. "Are you really going to kill him?" Silver asked, trying to make his expression neutral, though he was actually very concerned for the trapped blue hedgehog. Surely something else besides death could be arranged. But that all depended on Scourge’s choice. Sonic was technically still his slave. Maybe banishment to another province or something? Scourge: " I'm not sure. " The question as to what to do with the blue hedgehog completely depended on the test results. At this point he was hoping that the tests would come back negative despite being cruel to him these past two days. If Sonic were executed he'd be back at square one and short tens of thousands of Rings. Even if there was no love or attachment between himself and Sonic he still invested a ridiculous amount of Rings in him already. Standard procedure for this scenario changed significantly in the years leading up to the selection of the new King. Originally one child in what was called a 'litter' birthed would be chosen as the heir for the House. All of the other children were disowned by their parents completely; either executed within weeks of their birth or sent away to an outside provide to live with a foster family. Obviously his parents choose the later but he wasn't convinced that was the end of their involvement. For all he knew all of their 'business meetings' could have been meetings with their other son! Now here's the stickler. " People don't know this yet but our current King is nearing death. Guy's sick. Really sick. " This was probably news to Silver. Not so much for the Nobles who did not have news reporters feeding them propaganda. " He wants to choose the next ruling King and Queen before he kicks the bucket which lead to a change in regulation. The children who he favored were brought in closer for another look. Everyone else? He's taking them to the guillotine. " Long story short if news got out that Sonic was a Noble he'd be executed. Less competition for his favorite. Silver: "He’s dying?" Silver had only heard what other people said was going on in the castle. Nobody had ever mentioned the king dying. Guess the Royals wanted it to be kept hush-hush. Whatever the reason, Silver was also hoping for those tests to come back negative. He somehow doubted they would though. At least he understood more. That didn’t stop him from feeling sorry for Sonic. Putting a hand to his neck when Scourge mentioned the guillotine. Now that was just plain brutal. He couldn’t imagine. No wonder the Nobles had taken Sonic away if he was indeed their other son. Silver didn’t know what to say. There was nothing he could say for Sonic’s defense. "What will you do...if the tests are negative?" Scourge: Scourge nodded to confirm what he said was true. " The King has been in bad shape for a few years now. This year his medical staff came to the conclusion that the end was imminent. All they can do is shoot him up full of drugs and parade him around every couple of weeks to hide the whole thing. Once he reaches his end they're going to do it elaborately. " He waved his hand out as to show how elaborate it could be. " Tower collapsed. Everyone died. 'Course no one except the King's going to really die. Everyone in on the plot's going to live a full life on some private island in the south seas after their final performance. " Yep. That was about how sneaky these royals could work. Silver was so sensitive. He used the guillotine as a metaphor so he would understand what he was getting at. Sonic wouldn't actually be executed that way. No .There were special rules for execution of mobians who had Noble blood. To keep it from being spilled he'd probably be burned alive or suffocated. Maybe gassed like some sickly hamster. " Then we pretend this whole thing never happened. " Lying was a serious offense for a slave to commit but whatever punishment he'd suffer at his hands was a lot more merciful then death the way he envisioned it. " He'll get ten lashes for lying to me before and causing all this commotion and then we'll kiss an' make up and stuff. " Not really, but they would be back on level ground. Silver: Silver could hardly believe that plan. Deceiving but well thought out. Then they’d just start all over? And no matter what the execution was, it didn’t matter. Dying was dying no matter what. Silver preferred to avoid it and have others avoid it if they could. Unfortunately, it didn’t look like Sonic could at this point. If those tests came up positive, he’d be dead no matter what, either by Scourge or by the king. Why he was so concerned for Sonic he couldn’t say. All he knew was that he didn’t want Sonic to die. "The blood tests could always wait until the new king has been crowned...would it matter then?" Then nobody would know if Sonic was truly a Nobel or not and could stay just a slave. Hopefully by then something could be done about him that didn’t involve killing or severely maiming him. Scourge: " I need to know. " The tone that he used in response to Silver's inquiry was telling. He came dangerously close to stepping over the line between asking acceptable questions and trying to impose his opinion on his Master. In retaliation Scourge bore his fangs, briefly, but decided to drop it moments later. It wasn't worth it. Scourge did a once over Scourge's forehead to show that there was no hard feelings between them. His wandering hand settled for one of the other's ears to tweak it idly. " There's somethin' that's been bothering me for a long time now, Silver. " He started. Silver better curl up and get comfortable because this was going to be a monologue. " My folks are never around. They're always out on business even during the seasons where you can't do good landscaping. " That would be the late Fall and Winter. No matter what day or season it was Jules and Bernie always found an excuse to get away from it all. To get away from him more likely. The green hedgehog's eyes narrowed sharply at the thought. " They weren't out on business. They were out in the woods somewhere raising that little bastard. I just know it! " But why? He was supposed to be the one who got their love and attention. That's why they chose him! |

Silver: Silver could tell he was overstepping his boundaries as a slave. Once Scourge bore his fangs Silver visibly flinched and turned his head away, falling silent. Now was probably not a good time to get on his master’s bad side. He listened closely as Scourge vented out. Watching his movements carefully. Was it just him or did Scourge seem almost...jealous? Jealous because he thought his parents always left him behind to raise their other child. It was easy to understand for Silver since he’d never even known his parents, but he could imagine it was hard for Scourge. Finding this out so suddenly. Funny, the green hedgehog never seemed to care much before. He wondered how much his master was hiding. Scourge: Scourge could easily say that he had a better life then most mobians. He got to do things that most couldn't imagine doing in his wildest dreams. Still there was something missing from his privileged existence that he couldn't deny. Lord Scourge was -respected- by the people he surrounded himself with but he was -not- loved. Helga was the closest he had to a person who actually cared about him and even she was just a friend. He was certain that Sonic had been loved wherever he lived before he became a slave. It pained him to think that it was his own parents who may have loved and cared for him all this time. Why him!? Sonic just came off as a happy little idiot that didn't understand structured society like the one they were currently living in. He broke under the pressure of knowing that he was in a society where true love and compassion was a very rare occurrence. A small part of him wondered what would have happened if ... Without knowing it he joined Silver in silence. The green hedgehog was in deep thought about what could be as they pulled up to the drop off point. He hardly noticed that they had stopped at all until there was a knock at the window. Scourge snapped to attention and rolled down the window a bit. " Call me on the private line. " Silver may not have been able to see who the shady figure he handed two plastic bags off to was but ultimately it didn't matter. Their transaction was over in a matter of seconds. Their next stop was just around the corner from the drop-off point. It was located near the top of a rather tall building. The limo pulled up out front and slowed to a stop again when they got there. " Come on. " He could guess that Silver was getting tired by not but it wasn't much further. Silver: Strange how a slave and their master could have something in common like that. Silver had never known anything about family issues mainly because he never had a family to begin with. The closest thing to family he ever had was Blaze, and Silver was sure he’d never see her again. He’d never been loved before either. Never known the feeling in any way. But he shouldn’t be comparing himself to his master. The figure at the window was vaguely familiar to Silver but they left before any type of connection could be made. Whoever it was, Silver silently hoped that the tests would prove false. Right away the limo was on the move again. The trip wasn’t nearly as long. He followed Scourge curiously as they got out, suppressing another yawn. Scourge: An elevator was needed to reach the actual restaurant. That was because there was one Hell of a view of Moebotropolis at every seat. Were they moving? You better believe it. The restaurant was designed to show a three hundred and sixty degree view of the city every thirty minutes or so. Food was cooked towards the center of the floor while the guests sat along the outside. The style of dining here was casual. When one entered the floor they were greeted by a velvet rope guarded by a man at a stand off to the side. " Just two tonight. " The man seemed to recognize Scourge and smiled. He didn't recognize his guest, however. " This is my Head Slave, Silver. " Scourge actually took a step back so the guy could get a good look at Silver. It wasn't a lecherous look like the ones that the guards gave Sonic yesterday, either. The velvet rope was pulled back (apparently controlled by a machine) to let them onto the floor. Scourge looked over to his tired slave and gave him a light pat on the head. " I want you to actually eat this time, okay? " He didn't just pay 20 Ring to get him in here so he could look at the food. " Pick out something for you to eat and drink on the line. Anything you want. " The line? Well Silver would see what he meant shortly. This place worked similar to a public Cafeteria. The food was just much better prepared then the usual fare that one would see at a buffet. Meals were prepared and individually plated on little saucers. Looked like people were supposed to pick up two or three and a dessert further down the line. Scourge already knew what he was going for. Once he picked up his rounded Silver platter and put it down he immediately went for the what appeared to be a little steak. No more then three bites. The problem was that it was absolutely delicious so he had to get two of them! Silver: The view was absolutely astounding. Silver nearly forgot they were in a restaurant but Scourge gesturing to him snapped him back to attention. Right, don’t stare so much. People will stare at you if you do. He was pretty hungry at this point since hadn’t eaten much all day. Silver didn’t have to be told twice to actually eat something. The hard part what choosing what to eat. There was so much! So many dishes to choose from! He didn’t even know where to start. Looking around the place and trying to not be distracted by the view of outside, Silver got himself a glass of water first off before braving over to the actual food. He didn’t even know what half this stuff was but it all looked delicious. Eventually he settled on some mashed potatoes and a tiny drumstick. The desserts would have to come later. Scourge: Good enough. Scourge didn't bat a lash at gorging himself since quite a few pieces didn't even make it to his platter. It was acceptable to eat the food while picking it out in line long as you took the empty plate that it came along on. There was a small stack of plates at the edge of his platter by time he got down to the end. For dessert he picked up a small dish that appeared to be some kind of pudding covered with a layer of clear liquid. Whistle! He called a server over as he picked it up to show him the dish. The server picked up a small device that spouted a flame when she clicked a button. It was aimed towards the dish and WHOOSH. It was set aflame! " Thanks babe. " He lowered the still flaming dish down to his plater and kept moving. Was it all right for it to burn like that!? Of course. After a while the fire burned down naturally to leave a dark golden baked crust on the top of the saucer. The crust was fresh and delicious and the flames helped warm up the cake-like pudding underneath. He grabbed a mixed drink from the line and looked back to Silver. A small gesture of the head indicated that he wanted him to follow. Having noticed that Silver really enjoyed the view he picked a seat at the spot that currently overlooked the whole of the city. They could even see the manor from here. " Have you ever seen the city from this angle? " He imagined not. Scourge allowed Silver to put his platter down on the rounded table first since he had so little. Those two items were transferred to his more filled plater so the two platters could be stacked there. Now Silver's hands were going to be free. " It's quite a sight. You can see pretty much everything from here. " Scourge then sat down in the chair and looked at Silver expectantly. Silver: Scourge had thought right. No, he’d never seen such a view before. It wasn’t as if it was hard to guess. Having followed his master when told to, he eyed the burning dessert nervously. He wasn’t sure why Scourge had it be burned at first but it smelled really nice. He only realized it when the flames finally died down. Oh, so that was why. It looked even more delicious now. Funny way of cooking things but it worked. He set his plate down at the appointed table before looking outside again. Whatever he’d seen of the city before this certainly topped it. He could even see people all the way down on the ground. They looked so tiny from up here. It made him smile slightly before he allowed himself to sit down. Silver was so preoccupied with the view that he didn’t notice Scourge’s look at first. Scourge: That was what he was going for. Scourge had been so bitter about the Sonic situation that he nearly forgot why he wanted a slave in the first place. Slaves were like little children when it came to experiencing the things that Nobles took for granted. The sights, the sounds, the smells, everything seemed bring new to them. He really did enjoy seeing his slaves happy. He found nothing wrong with it long as they knew how to behave. He was more then willing to encourage Silver to look out the window some more when he sat. In fact he adjusted the way that he sat so the hedgehog could see the view better. " See? That open space down there is our family's private park where we went earlier. " It was quite a distance away from here so he pointed it out. " - and over there is the public city park that the family also designed ... " From there Scourge went on to point out several more monuments in the city that he thought were interesting. The Palace of Moebotropolis was the most obvious landmark besides the parks in the Federal District. There were also several statues and monuments which had an importance that he had to know in order to be a contender for King. He also pointed out little things such as where Lord Finitevus' home and the slave market where he purchased Silver were. No surprise that they were within walking distance of each other. Anything that he could think of to show how interesting this city could be was considered. There was so much to say but he could hardly remember it all. Somewhere in between his meal was neglected. Silver: It was all so fascinating. Now and again he would take a bite of his food so he wouldn’t forget but otherwise Silver’s attention was focused solely on what Scourge was saying and what he was pointing out. He asked questions now and then, mostly how he knew all of this. But he figured being a Noble and a landscaper were parts of it. That and walking around all the time and living here all his life. Sooner or later, Silver finished up his drumstick and about half of his potatoes. He tired to ignore the looks he was getting. Some were even glaring at him. His collar was the main reason. Guess slaves didn’t come here often. No surprise. Some of these people looked familiar too. Maybe he’d seen them while under Finitevus’ care but paid them no heed. Scourge: Noble Slaves were kind of like purse dogs that might be seen in other countries. Some viewed them as not being 'Real Slaves' because they didn't so the same type of work that the hard working slaves in the lower classes did. They spent most of their day looking cute or pretty for Master who spoiled them rotten when they could be spoiling a boyfriend or girlfriend instead. To put it simply they were jealous. Very jealous little mobians who wanted the type of attention that slaves could get from powerful lords, -especially- a young attractive lord like Lord Scourge. " I'm going to take you out to see the city over the next few weeks. " That was a promise. Scourge thought that it was important for Silver to know the city of his home Kingdom if he wanted any hope of being his slave if he became King. He also thought it was a good opportunity to spend some time together. To perhaps earn his trust. " There's plenty of stuff going on every day out here to keep morale high with the common population. It's about to be Spring and there's gonna be a lot of festivals to celebrate. " And could he go? Of course, but only if he came with his Master. Scourge reached over with his spoon to spoon some of the dessert that was set aflame before. He wanted to sample it but decided to let Silver try a bit first. " Here " He held the spoon up to his mouth. " Tell me what you think. " It was one of his favorite desserts: a creamy warm custard. Silver: Getting a tour of the city didn’t sound bad at all. He smiled a little more at the thought. Silver would do whatever he had to, if only not to fail the tests coming up in a few months. The ones they were at just this morning were still running through his head, studying what they did. Though it was promptly forgotten about once Lord Scourge put a spoon in front of his face. Blushing, Silver admired the smell for a bit before looking confused. He’d seen men doing the same exact thing to female mobians sitting with them so he assumed it was a relationship thing. Maybe not? In any event, the encouragement was enough to tell Silver it was okay to try. He put it in his mouth and let out a soft squeak afterwards. It was still a hot but not enough to completely burn his tongue. He was still able to taste it and loved it. Putting a hand to his mouth. "Delicious," he said after making sure it was all gone. Instinctively, Silver stuck the tip of his tongue out to cool it off. Scourge: Should have blown on it first in retrospect. He didn't mean to make Silver burn his tongue like that. The next scoop would be - Oh? Seeing the pink tip of his little tongue flipping around made him act instinctively. Scourge leaned in without much warning to give him a kiss on the lips to help soothe him. His tongue was going to dry out if he left it out in the open like that too long so this would definitely help. He even parted his lips a little to give the tip of the other's tongue a testing lick to moisten it. Knowing Silver he'd shrink away from him almost instantly. He himself only caught onto that the moment he made contact. If Silver was too stunned to move he'd take the liberty to pull himself back. Whoops. He just couldn't help himself. " Ah. " Should he say sorry? He didn't feel sorry. " Feel better? " Silver: Silver didn’t notice Scourge’s movement until it was too late. He stiffened up but didn’t pull away immediately. Too stunned. That had come out of nowhere. As their tongues touched, even for that brief second, Silver’s eyes snapped shut. His cheeks grew a little more red as his master pulled away. At least it wasn’t as surprising as...well, what happened last night. But it came close. Not exactly how he imagined his first kiss to be like, as if he thought about those kind of things. "U-um..." Silver nodded. The kiss had barely lasted ten seconds but his lips were burning as if it had lasted for much longer. Not in the way his tongue was either. It sort of felt like the way Lord Scourge had touched him in the baths. He couldn’t place it. "A little bit, yes..." And it was true. His tongue didn’t hurt as bad now. Who knew that would work? Distraction was all he needed. Scourge: " Glad to help. " He grinned wildly at the blush that on the white hedgehog's face. There were plenty more little distractions to come. Many more opportunities to kiss this sweet little slave. He meant what he said about Silver in the slave market when he purchased him. Silver really was cute in his eyes and his personality was even more adorable. A few more days and he'll open up even more, he imagined, and then things would get even more interesting. Suddenly there was a ring. The vibration came from one of the interior pockets of his jacket. Scourge looked a bit alarmed at first but settled down with a heavy breathe in the moments that followed. " Here. You can have some more. " He was referring to the dessert. There was business to take care of. Scourge pulled out the phone after the hand off and flipped it open. " Talk to me. " He knew what this call was about. For a few moments more he listened in silence as the news was given out. " Yeah I see ... " And his tone dropped considerably. " Thanks Doc'. " Then he snapped the phone shut, muscles tensing. " Let's go. " Silver had about half a second to vacate his lap before he exploded out of his seat. Obviously the trigger had been whatever was in that phone call. Way to ruin the evening. |

Silver: The white hedgehog ended up sliding, almost falling, off his master’s lap as he stood up. He quickly caught himself on the table and looked after Scourge as they began to leave. That was weird. That phone call must not have been something Master wanted to hear. Was it about the test results? If it was, that was certainly fast. Silver took one more tiny bite of the custard before running after Scourge. Not even caring that his face was still a little red from that unexpected kiss. At least for now. "Master?" He asked. "Are you alright?" Where were they going anyway? Scourge: Home. Immediately. The whole thing about medical tests taking six to eight weeks was a convenient lie. Civilians had to wait because the more important mobians living in the Kingdom were a priority. His personal source was willing to do the test immediately. A higher quality test in a couple of minutes. That was the type of things that Nobles who were constantly thing to work out the weak links in their bloodlines were used to. Scourge said nothing until they were in the elevator. Alone. He jammed the button leading to the ground floor impatient, left foot tapping, and started rambling as the door closed. " I gotta ... " He muttered softly to himself. Turning around so his spines were pressed against the wall of the elevator, and he faced Silver, he looked up at the white hedgehog with a sigh. " I'm going to run us back to the house. When I take you up to the front door I just want you to go in. Go to sleep if you want. Anything. " Silver: Whatever was making Scourge so worked up had Silver guessing. He had a pretty good idea on what it was but he still couldn’t be too sure. He knew it had something to do with the tests, what else could it be? So either the tests were positive or negative and he couldn’t tell which. It was driving him crazy not knowing! "A-alright..." He nodded in understanding, following Scourge outside and into the limousine. It didn’t take long for it to drive off again. Debating in his head what he should do when back at the manor...one idea was even bordering on ludicrous. Scourge: Strangely the limousine wasn't out front when they made it to the ground floor. Scourge usually called the limo driver or signaled for him to wait out front when they went somewhere. This time he'd been so angry that he completely forgot to do something routine. It only pushed him further in his frustration. Rather then correct his minor oversight he had another idea to get them home quickly. Scourge suddenly turned around to scoop up Silver into his arms. One slung around the back while the other hooked under his legs in a fashion similar to the way that he carried Sonic earlier today. He hardly straightened out before he started running. Scourge's speed was impressive. So much that he had to bypass using the sidewalk and dart between the cars in the street heading through the gates. Once they got to the gates they'd be home in six seconds. Not his fastest time but there was a lot on his mind. The green hedgehog walked him up to the front door of the manor without so much as breaking a sweat. Right before he lowered him down to the ground he gave the white hedgehog a small nudge with his cheek and chin at the side of his neck; a comforting gesture. " I'll be back in five minutes, babe. " He said as he lowered the hedgehog to the ground. Silver: He immediately grabbed onto Scourge as he was picked up, not used to this feeling. He was getting used to picking people up, not the other way around. His grip tightened when Scourge took off at unheard of speeds. Letting out a sharp yelp but at least it didn’t last for very long. Silver closed his eyes once Master started going through traffic. This he didn’t want to watch. Finally it ended but Silver’s grasp on his master didn’t lighten up much. Even when let down, Silver held on to him, mostly to get his bearings. But his mind was running wild. Was that really how long it would take? Just five minutes? That was barely enough time to think of something. He had to do something, anything, to buy Sonic some time and hopefully save his life. Maybe keep master distracted long enough...Would that help? He hoped so. "Master, wait, don’t go..." he mumbled, clinging tighter to the green hedgehog. He didn’t care if he got punished for this. In fact, he was expecting it. "Please don’t..." Scourge: Scourge already had a decent plan. It was going to take only a minute to get the deed done. He planned on sneaking into the pen, approaching the hedgehog, and simply breaking his neck before he had a chance to struggle. A swift, clean, and overall merciful death. The other minutes would be for disposing of the body in the brush surrounding the estate and covering his tracks. Sonic must have gotten loose, he'll say, and broken his neck trying to escape from the property through the woods. See? He thought this out completely. There was just one factor he didn't count on. It was clinging to him now physically preventing him from leaving the property. Scourge looked down at him, confused, but quickly picked up on his game. This was a last ditch attempt to spare the hedgehog in the pen. " Babe ... " He started with a sigh. How could he be mad at Silver over this? It wasn't his fault! It wasn't Sonic's fault, either, but ... " Look. This is the best I can do. Really. If he - he ... " If he just kept his god-damn mouth shut like he kept telling him to this would have never happened! Silver: Silver stared up at him looking heartbroken. "It’s never ‘the best’ if a life is taken..." He’d watched the deaths of many slaves too many times. In fact...he’d even had a hand in it once. Forced to kill a slave the same way Scourge was thinking of killing his brother. His past master forced him into it since they thought the slave could amount to nothing. Silver still had nightmares about it. Nobody deserves it, especially someone like Sonic who didn’t do anything. "Please spare him. Please...there has to be another way. I’ll...I’ll do anything to make up for it, anything, just please don’t kill him..." He tried not to break down but ended up burying his face in Scourge’s chest and holding tighter. Scourge: Here comes the conflict ... Scourge was torn between shoving the hedgehog through the door while he took care of his business and reassuring him that everything was fine. He didn't expect for Silver to break down like this. Not by a long shot. This has been the most emotion that he saw from his slave since he first laid eyes on him. The whole scenario must have hit a nerve with him. He could say the same for himself. Silver was going to feel two fingers clamp down on his ear to yank it backwards before this was all over. The aim was to jerk his head backwards so their eyes could meet. The expression on his face was unreadable. Given how violent he'd been in the moments before it wouldn't have been surprising if he struck him at that moment. He should have, but - " I'll sleep on it - " That was all that he could promise. He'll take the night to evaluate his options and do what he thought was best in the morning. " - but I won't sleep alone. " Silver: In all honesty he expected worse. Kicking, whipping, maybe even both, but certainly not a fierce tug on his ear. His hands shot up to where the pain was and Silver managed to stop himself before actually making contact with Scourge’s grip, his hands left to hover a few centimeters above his head. One eye open and the other eye closed because of the sudden pain. But that was all, he didn’t dare make a sound. All he did was sigh in a little bit of relief. At least he’d spared some time. Then his other ear quirked in confusion, not understanding the true meaning behind Scourge’s last statement. Well no, he wasn’t going to sleep alone. Silver slept in the same room, right? Unless he wouldn’t anymore after this. What did Master mean now? |

OOC: Silver and Scourge's solo - Edited. Scourge: He'll see ... Scourge leaned over Silver to open the door leading into the grand lobby of the mansion. " We're going to sleep in another room tonight. " Green was going to go about this rather civilly at first. His intentions were for Silver not to understand what was happening until they were in the heat of it. " Make a left in here and go to the end of the hallway. There's three doors down there. Take the one to your right and wait for me at the bottom of the stairs. Don't bother trying to open the door because it's locked. I'll be down with you in a sec'. " He needed to get prepared. The Lord was already speeding off after giving Silver his direction. His first stop was to the kitchen to get a few beers for the trip. He's going to need them since this was going to be a pretty long night. Another stop was upstairs to retrieve a few things from the duplex. They were well hidden up until now. His final stop was the closet next to the door. Hopefully by time he reached there Silver would be out of sight. Why? This was the closet where they kept the ceremonial bullwhip. Silver: Silver looked a little confused. This...wasn’t exactly what he had in mind. He expected a punishment. Nevertheless he had to obey, whatever Master was planning. They were sleeping in a different room, he knew that much. The white hedgehog nodded at his master’s order and did as he was told. His ears perked as he tired to figure out exactly what Scourge was doing as he made his way downstairs. Nothing. All he heard was walking. Nothing jarring that he could worry about. At least not yet. Trying the door and it was indeed locked. Well he was told never to go into locked doors, not like he could. So he waited. And the longer he waited, the more worried he got ... Scourge: Five minutes later Scourge came to the top of the stairs and started his way down. He carried with him a black duffel bag that appeared to be filled to the brim. Supplies for the evening. It could be something as innocent as a few blankets or a few more sinister items. Either way Scourge paid it little mind as he looked at his timid slave. Strange. He looked a lot happier now then he did stressing over what to do with Sonic ... " Sorry for the wait. " But it wasn't a good idea for him to leave Silver alone down here. He dug into his pocket to produce a card-like key that was slid through the electronic lock on the door before being pocketed again. Looked similar to that identification card that he showed to the guards before. The door opened slowly after the lock was undone to show that there was very little light on the other side. Pure white light was not used in this place to create a certain air of ambiance. A mixture of red, yellow, and orange created a soft glow on the dark furniture inside that seemed to have only its outline visible. Carpet was not practical in this chamber so they opted for a dark cherry hardwood floor with a thick layer of polish and a few lonely shag rugs. Wooden dressers of different shapes and sizes were lined on the walls on opposite sides of the room with furniture gathered closer to the middle. There appeared to be something like a table in the far corner. They (thankfully) wouldn't be using that covered table tonight. More notably there was a large wooden canopy bed seemingly in the direct center of the room. Layers of thick black curtains and sheen white silks were held back by what appeared to be green ribbons in the darkness. Must have been a room only Scourge used. Silver shouldn't gawk too long. SNAP! The crack of an object that should have been very familiar to Silver could be heard breaking the air. Scourge wasted no time in pulling out that whip to crack at the ground right in front of the bed. Uh oh. What he did was a tell tale signal that Silver better move his ass over to the spot he struck immediately, kneel, and pray that he wasn't being punished. Silver: He wasn’t happier, per se. Just relieved that Sonic would be spared tonight. Something had to be done. If the Nobles didn’t do something soon Silver wasn’t sure what would happen. But now he had to pay the consequences. The whip crack immediately caught his attention, standing up straight and looking to where it had landed. He hadn’t heard that noise for a few days now but it was burned into his mind forever. It barely took Silver a few seconds to kneel down at the appointed spot and put his hands in his lap. That was so he could easily get into position if he was going to be whipped. Which is what he expected. How could he not get whipped after disobeying Master like he did? He wouldn’t tremble, he wasn’t scared ... Scourge: One would expect that an onslaught of whips were going to come following that telltale command. Scourge was taking his precious time if that was really his aim in all of this. He took a moment to close the door that they came in through, lock it, and apparently walked off to one side just out of Silver's sight to do something. Silver wouldn't have been able to see what he was doing if he held the position like he should have been. His Master was purposely working in his blind spot to build suspense. Resting in the far corner of the room was an unusually large cabinet that stretched to the ceiling. Custom made. The reason why would be seen soon enough. He had to open the two smaller doors on the bottom and flip some switches before the machine actually turned on. Silver might feel a sudden wave of heat on his back when he opened the top half of the cabinet. There was a roaring fire in there within seconds of turning the machine on. Perfect. He took a dagger from his duffel bag and put it in a thin slot at the top. As he worked he asked Silver an innocent question. " Why did you save him just now? " Surely he had to have a reason. Silver: Now wasn’t the time to panic. Just keep calm like he always tried to when getting punished...And yet not being able to see his master just made him even more nervous. Scourge was certainly good at getting people to sweat. He hadn’t been whipped yet which was surprising. So why the stalling? Psychological torture, maybe? The sudden wave of heat that erupted from behind actually made Silver flinch. That wasn’t a good sign. He had been burned before but it didn’t happen very often (thank god). He wanted so badly to look behind him and see what was going on but he forced himself to hold his position...no matter how much it hurt. "I..." It was still a question he wasn’t sure of. Why had he tried to save Sonic? "Well because..." Silver tried but he couldn’t come up with an answer. Maybe it was because Sonic seemed like he had gone through too much already. Or maybe he was just being protective over other slaves. Or maybe there was another reason he wasn’t sure of. But Silver was keeping silent for far too long. Master was becoming impatient. Getting tongue tied over and over again. Nothing was coming out right. "I’m not exactly sure..." He finally mumbled, hanging his head in shame. "But...I just didn’t want him to die is all." Scourge: Scourge needed to buy five minutes so the dagger could be heated. Silver's answers during this little question and answer session would not change the outcome. He was not being punished here. No ... How he answered would determine whether or not Sonic's life could be saved. In his eyes Silver saved him because he thought that he was worthy of another chance. Scourge wasn't seeing it. Even without this whole Noble mess muddling his judgment he did not believe Sonic was slave material. A slave who couldn't even act like a slave was completely useless to him. If Silver couldn't convince him that Sonic could improve then he was going to die tomorrow morning. " Do you think he can learn to do the right thing? " Without the violence and all. One thing was certain if they dragged Sonic out of the pen tomorrow. He needed time for his injuries to heal. During that time Sonic -couldn't- be punished physically or he'll upset his injuries. He could tell that he aggravated an old injury when he kicked him into the pen yesterday. " Better yet; are you willing to teach him to do the right thing? He needs someone who can do that for him now and I can't be it. " Because he wasn't a slave, essentially. As he listened to Silver's responses he got some more things out of the duffel bad. They were put on a wooden cart beside that heat source. From the bag he took out a plastic bottle of lemon juice, antiseptic, some gauze, bandages, and a pair of scissors. Again this was done just out of his view though he could undoubtedly hear the objects being placed. Silver: Silver’s ears twitch as he desperately tried to figure out what his master was doing. Or more importantly what kind of stuff was he taking out of that bag. He heard something metal, what did that mean? "Maybe..." He sounded so timid. Better change that. "I mean, yes. I’m willing to teach him." Willing to help him more likely. "I’ll do it if it’ll help...I will." And if Master ordered him to. Maybe not happily oblige but he’d certainly do it. Sonic needed treatment for those wounds immediately. He hated to think what was going on with him right now, what he was going through. Scourge: " Good to hear. " Scourge would have been lying to himself if he believed that Sonic -didn't- need a friend right now. Yesterday talking to that low paid worker in the bakery and this morning having a conversation with those two female slaves was the happiest he'd ever seen the usually bitter blue hedgehog. Sonic took poorly to the transition between a free and slave. He was not properly trained for the transition like many of the poorer mobians who lived in the slums were during their school years. In retrospect he thought that he may have been too hard, or too demanding, on the hedgehog who hadn't been in slavery for even a week. More time was needed, but he didn't have years to become accustomed to his situation. One last thing was needed before he checked up on the dagger. He removed his white gloves to neatly lay them on the cart in favor for some heavy leather gloves designed to protect his fingers from the heat of the dagger. Scourge headed from the cabinet to open the small slot at the top again after. In the process he asked one more very important question. " And are -you- willing to let me help you? " How so? " Silver ... you're a good slave and I like you. A lot. That's why it's going to be a shame if I loose you at the end of the year. I don't want to lose you. " He went through too many slaves already and he was getting sick of it. He wanted to hold onto this one. Just this once. Silver: For now, Silver’s fear was ebbing away. He stared straight ahead instead of in his lap and tried to keep his calm. Of course, when Scourge actually started praising him, that made his little facade drop into shock. He’d never been praised by any of his masters before. Ever. The green hedgehog actually wanted him to stay instead of get sold away like Finitevus was so sure would happen. Silver felt his face heat up and he tried his best to hide it. "I...thank you, Master." He fiddled with the hands in his lap, acting shy now. "If you think I’m capable of something like that...th-then I’ll try my hardest not to let you down..." Scourge: Scourge knew a good slave when he saw one. He knew from the private interactions that he had with Silver that the white hedgehog had a good heart. The closest thing he could get to purity without having to pay an arm and a leg for one of those specially bred slaves. Tonight he'd take great pleasure in introducing him to the other end of the spectrum. The green hedgehog had a feeling that the other one never experienced the things that he felt last night. They say that your very first time with a Master is supposed to be special. The idea that this may be his very first time with anyone made it special all the more. " No - " He took the dagger in one hand and the wooden cart in the other to drag it over. Here it comes ... " - You won't let me down. That's what I want you to promise me tonight. I want to hear you say it with confidence. " He had to because what he was about to do to him tonight would be irreversible. Silver: Silver swallowed hard as he tried to keep his voice steady. Something wasn’t right, he could tell. Master had been acting quite strange ever since they came down here. And that compliment...was it really true? Maybe, but he supposed he should be thankful it was even said in the first place. Now something that sounded like a grocery cart was rolling towards him. He almost looked but stopped himself just in time. Taking a deep breath, he regained control of his voice. "I...will do my best. I won’t disappoint you. I promise." And he’d better keep it otherwise he will be punished. Unaware of what he just triggered to happen. Scourge: " Then hold still. " Silver was already in the right position for the job. This next spot would be a test of faith between Master and Slave. A slave that really wanted to please him would try his damnedest not to move even if it was painful. It was a lot to ask from Silver but he needed to know if he was strong enough to take this. Scourge knelt on one knee to Silver's right side to take a hold of his right bicep. His hold was rather firm but it needed to be to ensure that there was little movement. Sure he could have just strapped Silver down to the rack on the far side of the room but he couldn't test the other's faith like that. For what? Silver could feel the heat on his shoulder as Scourge raised the red how blade up to it. Just as the heat became unbearable he made the first of the marks: a smooth slit across the top of his shoulder that would bleed very little if Silver managed to hold still. It would burn, sure, but it wouldn't bleed because the heat of the blade searing his flesh closed the wound before it had a chance to bleed. Scourge didn't stop there. A series of long and shallow marks were carved into Silver's shoulder with precision. The end result was a special kind of brand that differed from the one he was given when he was first branded. |

Let them enjoy their time alone. Something was brewing beneath their noses, all for the sake of Scourge. In the neighboring lands another house was preparing their out slaves and planning what upcoming days where their House would once more secure an heir to a Kingdom. Beneath the calm and enduring walls of the cream, teal and pink of the elaborate estate something dark was brewing, waiting for the day to claim what had been rightfully theirs for so long. House of Rose. The nobility their was known for their incredible strength, willpower, and turning out some of the best Gladiator Slaves for the past decade. A House known for having powerful linage, till the great uproar some odd years ago which wiped out most of the known history. One of several House's that was vying for rule over Moebius. A child being groomed to be the next ruler. Standing at the steps of her home the familiar pink shape was gently handing off a rather large package to a carrier in white, his ride a chariot driven by purebred horses, massive beast compared to their Mobian masters. Entrusted with delivering a rather important gift from one side of the massive kingdom to another. Rosey watched the precious cargo take off, hoping to have her gift delivered before tomorrow. Then the surprise would be ruined! SO many plans to be made, so much to have done. She would be waiting for his response. Amily Rose, known by her 'kinder' name Rosie the Rascal, would wait. There was plenty of time. She was next inline to claim that oh so elusive throne. And title of future wife of none other then Scourge the Hedgehog. It was nightfall when the carriage pulled up before the doorsteps of Scourge's home, a Mobian chameleon took to the steps, ringing the bell and waited. His orders were clear. Hand the precious gift over to the Hedgehog and leave. Immediately. (OOC: Crappy post is crappy. Just needed to git this done. As for Rosie's abode... )

Scourge had told them before he went down to the dungeon that he did not wish to be disturbed. Not until morning. Sessions like that were fairly common around the House. The Lord's short temper called for him to release stress quite often. Not just during the times where he had to break in a new slave, either. Whenever there was a gap between the green furred Lord owning one slave and another the servants throughout the manor were suspect to his wraith. It wasn't uncommon for the Lord to physically reprehend his servants for even the smallest of reasons. Sometimes he didn't need a reason at all. The same explosive temper that Scourge displayed towards his slaves and servants was precisely the reason why the manor received few visitors. The days around the estate rolled together because they mainly consisted of the servants cleaning up after the Lord's varying messes. His parents only stayed the night once in a Blue Moon and the Lord had no friends to speak of. Since the Lord had (thankfully) been gone most of the day today all they could do was tidy up and prepare what they believed would be needed to clean the dungeon tomorrow morning. Maggie, the raccoon maid, was putting a recently ordered box of crops up in the closet that formerly held the family's bull whip when the doorbell rang. She sprang up from her task to open the door without hesitation. " This is the Hedgehog Residence. May I help you? " Maggie was not very experienced at opening the door. Her body was almost completely hidden from view by the door with only her golden eyes peeking out from behind. |

His orders were simple and he would follow them to the tee. The chameleon stood at the door, the package in hand. The violet reptile knew the repercussions if he failed. Failure was as good as death. No need to return home until the message was given. Waiting a few moments before he went for the doorbell again. Luckily he was met with one of the servants. Offering her a slight bow. "The honorable House of Rose has a parcel to be delivered to the Master of the house hold." He tried to peer over the raccoons shoulder, hoping to see the said hedgehog. Cursing her for keeping the door so tightly held in place. He couldn't leave till he saw the package placed in the said hedgehog's hands and opened. His job wasn't done till then. And if Scourge wasn't available he was willing to wait. Returning home without a proper response meant he'd loose his head. But Scourge's reputation was nearly as wide spread, perhaps even more terrible? Impossible. "I have orders to take this to his personally, I must speak to him." The box shuddered once, creating an odd silence between them. The chariot was left idle, and forgotten. With the messenger busy making small talk with the servant the second figure that tagged along was able to sneak from the car. His steps were swift, light, he left little trace of his presence. He knew where he was going, each step was measured, knowing. Having walked through his path many a times, for a multitude of purposes, the hooded figure sought out the target in question. His mistress had questions he was more then willing to answer. Pausing to listen, the empty air was cold. There was no sign of the green hedgehog, checking the usual spots and finding nothing. That usually meant he was breaking in a slave or most likely out on a binge. His stomach rolled at the thought his Master would be forced to consummate with the sick bastard. It was worst to think they would have to someday create a family. Shudder. Still undiscovered he made his final rounds. Checking to see if Scourge's rides were still parked in the driveway. Passing the kennel.... He heard whimpering. For a moment he thought the sound simply in his head. Heightened senses, keen hearing... damnit. It had been awhile since he poisoned the last one on a spur of the moment. Coming to the bolted lock and chained gate. It wasn't a dog he found locked behind bars. "Pathetic." |

That was one way to describe him. Sonic couldn't begin to defend himself or move much at all. He was huddled in the corner of the cage, laying down on his good side and curled up, eyes closed as if he was trying to sleep. Any shifting around would just double the pain, but what he felt now kept him from falling completely asleep. After that last blow with Scourge, that one kick had fully snapped his already fractured rib into. He was struggling to breathe but fortunately the damage to his lung wasn't too bad. It would, however, result in pneumonia over night. Sonic was already sick enough as it is, but he couldn't pinpoint which problem he had caused it (there was just too many to choose from). If the blue hedgehog was moved, extreme care would have to be taken, otherwise more injury could be caused than good, which could easily prove to be fatal in his condition. |

This was a disgusting sight indeed. He had expected to find a wounded dog, maybe a dying animal. But instead he found a half dead hedgehog curled up in the cold, his back turned to Rob O. He could tell the Slave had been through hell and back. "Psst... can ye hear me?" He needed to know if it was still conscious. All he would get was a soft groan. That was good enough. He couldn't be sure how long the male had been out here, but without medical attention he couldn't survive the night. And who knew what kind of internal damage. It wasn't Rob O's right, nor his job, to interfere with the handling of a Master's slave. But staring at the steadily breathing heap of fur he could only recall his past lives. How he could picture himself in such a condition time and time again. He eyed the lock that kept the hedgehog behind bars. It was nothing to a master of breaking and entering. Pulling out a pin from behind his ear, picking the lock. Breaking it would only leave more evidence of fowl play. Swinging the gate open, he was careful in case there was an alarm. He crawled in after Blue after making sure no one was watching. He dragged him out into the open, perhaps making the condition worse. But he refused to let the male be left behind. Let what punishment come. And no Rosey didn't need to know. Getting him some help mattered more to him when waiting around for the the messenger. Hell, the lizard knew how to get home. Sonic was slung over his shoulder, darting over the grounds, avoiding lights and guards as he made his way back to the carriage in waiting. |

Sonic thought he heard a voice but couldn't make it out. When he realized someone was fiddling with the lock and coming in, he immediately panicked. He thought it was Scourge, or maybe someone just sent there to kill him off already. There was no hiding who he truly was now, he knew his Master knew about it. There was no hope of seeing his parents again or his friends. The blue hedgehog curled up as much as possible, spines sticking out, making it highly difficult for the stranger to pull him out. When he attempted to put him over his shoulder though, it was then Sonic's muscles gave out on him and he cried out. A cry that was half choked and cut off by a strangling gurgle. That had definitely worsened his condition. Sonic was coughing and hacking to get what blocked his throat out of the way, and in doing so, managed to spit up some blood. The second he did that, he was feeling more rise at the back of his throat, making his heart speed up as he realized something was dangerously wrong. |

He knew something was wrong the moment he felt the hedgehog shudder. The male reeked of unspeakable things, more then a dozen difference scents in his fur. Frankly, he stunk. And hearing the male choke and gag, he refused to panic, but if he didn't get the hedgehog immediate medical attention then the male was as good as dead. Perhaps trying to save the slave was a bad idea. At least he had a trump card. Rosey was not going to be happy about this. Nor was the coach that awaited his arrival. "Just hold a little longer." Digging around into the pocket of his hood, how could it be so hard to find! His fingers brushing over the smooth metal, the power pulsed under his fingertips. Removing the small ring from his pocket, instant escape. Something he managed to swipe from his Mistress. If only his captive knew the extent of hell he would have to face if she found him using this. He'd rather be in blue's condition. Tossing the coin sized ring, the moment it touched ground it expanded, creating a portal. On the other side he could see the dungeon on the other side. He stepped through and both would find themselves in the dank darkness, levels beneath House of Rose and miles from Scourge's abode. First things first was getting one of the personal physicians to take a look at the nameless hedgehog. Dealing with slaves that fought for their lives day in and day out a medical staff was always on duty. |

It was best Rob worked as quickly as possible. Every second counted now. The blue hedgehog was gasping miserably and choking with every attempt. Blood dribbled between his lips, dripped down at the corners and stained the fur on his chin. His dirty blue body convulsed in shuddering coughs, fear enveloping him like a vice, making his mind go crazy with all the things he'd never see again, more specifically, his family and friends. He was dying, he knew it. There was only so much a body could take and without having given proper treatment for his injuries, and instead only beaten more, was there really any surprise? No, the only real shocker was that he hadn't died already. |

OOC: Scourge will now be posting with his MM Colors to make his posts easier to read from Rob's. Too late to personally save a certain blue hedgehog from his fate Scourge could at least do one thing right tonight. It took the servants nearly ten minutes to convince him to come out of the 'Training Room' and answer the door but they did it ... and he was none too happy about it. Lord Scourge looked none too happy when he shoved the female servant out of the way so he could speak to the visitor. It was the middle of the night! He didn't have to be on his best behavior in the middle of the night. Since he didn't immediately recognize the chameleon on the other side of the door he didn't think that he needed to be on his best behavior, either. " What the Hell do you want? " Excuse the pepper language but he was just seconds away from getting laid before this interruption! Nothing could be this important that he had to pass up breaking Silver in! |

There was little more Rob O could do but gather a handful of medical staff that lingered about in their appointed quaters. Each one skilled in their own personal medical feild, forced down in to the lowly manner of a live in staff for the House of Rose. Having a massive underground ring of Gladiator Slaves they required proper help to be on hand instantly. Anyone who denied the job was disposible. People liked to keep thier necks about them. The group huddled around the broken hedgehog, hushed whispering followed by the multiple diagnoses. But Rob O knew it wasn't sickness, the hedgehog was simply broken. It was amazing the male had survived for so long with such extensive and painfully obvious wounds. Getting the hedgehog's breathing under control was first. It was suspected a broken rib had possible punctured his lung, obvious in the way any touch along his sides made him crying out in pain like a well trained whore. Seemed like a pretty used up one at that. Moving him into a room better suited to handle the next couple of hours of surgery he was going to have to face. Rob O the hedge only hoped he brought the male home in time. Tossing the ring in his hand, tucking it unto his glove. He'd have to monitor the entirety of the process and keep his little secret to himself. Who could say what would happen if anyone outside the House found out he had stolen another noble's slave? It was hard to discern the chameleon at first glance. There was little to point him out from his kind, a dark purple and single horn. His clothing pressed and looking more like a butler then a carrier. The only bit that stuck out was the pinned crest on his chest. A Pink rose. A sign he came from a higher standing then the average delivery Mobian. The box in his hands shuddered again when Scourge spoke up. Bowing to the Lord of the Household. "Master Scourge, I come baring a gift.." Keeping his tone even and calm thought inwardly he wanted to turn about and run. Perspiration forming on his forehead. |
