Gods, I'm Goregous...

Summary: Dimitri was one of the foremost scientists in Echidnaopolis, forming a dynamite team braintrust with his younger brother Edmund. Together, the two had been hired by the Echidnan council the Theocracy for perhaps the most important assignment they had taken up yet: bringing Angel Island down to terra firma. When shot down for their suggestion to use the Chaos Siphon to gradually suck the energy out of the twelve Chaos Emeralds and bring the island safely to the ground, Dimitri gets a bit hot-headed and storms off to the Zoot Chute. Unfortunately, the Chaos Siphon overloads and dosed him with overly lethal amounts of raw Chaos Energy. Instead of killing him, it altered his genetics and tied him directly to the Chaos Force. Maddened with power and a lust for revenge against the council, he takes over Echidnaopolis and Angel Island, enslaves the Echidna race, turns their weapons and technology against them, and captures the heads of the council and his own brother. Trapped inside Dimitri's personal citadel, the Dark Tower, the council members, Menthor, and Edmund begin to lose hope, but are saved by fire ants, who destroy the citadel's foundations and collapse it upon the power-mad titan's head.

...But not dead! Or, not yet. This roleplay continues after the destruction of the Dark Tower, through the perspective of Dimitri as he becomes Enerjak, (possibly Menniker?) and then later through the perspectives of Knuckles, Julie-Su, Lien-Da, and Dr. Finitivus, with their encounters of the first and second Enerjak. In keeping with the canonized character, the script should be in the speech and mannerisms of the character, and the Third Coming will never be mentioned. Bobble-head Dimitri may have to make a comeback as the original Enerjak though for Knuckles' perspective.

Miscellaneous: The character count on this is rather flexible. I added a brief history of Dimitri, the first Enerjak, at the top, so you don't have to do a lot of searching. There were a lot more people connected to Enerjak: the Chaotix, Sonic, Scourge, Remington, and so forth, so if more interest is taken in this, it can be adjusted.

You can also add in character's own little bits of history, in relation to Enerjak, ie. feelings, how such and such a battle shaped the character... he did kill Knuckles on one notable occasion. Not to mention Knuckles' dad, Locke.

Try to keep to canon. No characters really need to be killed off, no one needs to be eaten, or given random amnesia if it isn't specifically said so.

Warning: Yaoi is completely fine, as it will be part of the plot, however the pairings must be okayed with the other player before you mention them. ^^ Otherwise, it may be a biiit awkward. Incest, rape, necro, S&M, bondage, and that sort is really unnecessary, and will indeed get you booted out. Also, this isn't really a yuri thread, so watch the posts. There are others for that sort of thing, or you could create your own. If you like the idea, but want a higher rating or yuri or want to keep it private or whatever your fancy, feel free to make a spinoff, but note me so I can watch it.

Word is out that Enerjak is a closet, but it's really up to you to decide for yourself. Innuendo regarding a previous love affair may be provided along with flashbacks should the situation be suited to it. He does have a son, Menniker, who creates the illustrious Dark Legion in his father's absence. But whatever toots your whistle. I couldn't really see anyone with the helmeted monolith, but if you think you know who his dreamboat is, send me a note ahead of time with your guess. (And I'll hope that no one is playing it.... I mean...>sweatdrop<) I might pop a few hope balloons, but am saying right now that it is certainly not Edmund.

I believe that's it. Have fun.

Dimitri's Journal Log

Date: Centuries in the Past, Fragmented Data, so Incomplete Date. Thursday.

There is very little to do, trapped under a pile of rock. I plot vengence in variously cruel and unusual ways. Menthor, of course, is the first to go. He collapses into a puddle of blood and flesh as I expand his major organs slowly, excruciatingly, with Chaos Energy. It takes a full eight hours to complete, but I am very patient. I would have to be. I learned this patience several years ago, around the same time that my voice went. The echidnas on the surface have stopped complaining about the ghostly wails coming from some 'Mount Fate', which I can only assume is my ruined fortress.

The others follow quickly. They do not get such a prolonged death, for I am merciful, to an extent. The Theocracy gets a bit more of my time than the other cowardly council members, as they have been particularly annoying to me over the years, attempting to thwart my grand design.

Edmund would have been spared. How could I destroy my own brother? True, he was blind to the noble purpose and misguidedly attempted to stop me, but he assumed that I had purposefully instigated the destruction of eleven Chaos Emeralds, for the intent of dropping our island out of the sky. When I would have explained that these Chaos Emeralds are not gone so long as I am around, that their power is put to an infinitely greater use under my control, he would have understood. And if not at first, then soon after my return. After all, 'the just shall prevail.' However, my son's aptly named Dark Legion killed him, to defend themselves apparently, and it was a great pity and sacrifice on his side, for which I will remember him fondly.

He still attempted to walk the twisting path, and even instructed his own son in this futile way. In his own defense, he did not know, but I am kind enough to set him right. Menniker has heard my mental call, and, obedient son that he is, has followed my instructions dutifully to the letter. It is all too right that we should assume our rightful heritage of technology which makes us Echidnas superior to the 'Mobians' that dwell on the surface, to return to our homeland of the ground, air meeting terra, and finally to take control of these lessers and spread our reign to the four corners of the globe.

Also to do is the constant game in my mind: chess, the game of nobility. And isn't it fitting that it was my favorite entertainment, and isn't it fitting that I was destined for this godly power? Yes, godly, greater than kings. I am a god. I cannot be destroyed. I will return, and they will worship the very ground beneath my feet, and be all too happy to do my bidding.

But what is a god to be named?

Edmund had been waiting for what felt like eon's for the Museum to open up the latest exhibits, He blamed it on the scientific side of him. Surely who in their right mind would want to waste their time in a dusty old building filled with simple history on such an amazing day? Well, this echidna was sure willing. Particularly more so with his brother Dimitri. Loosing himself in one of the guides offered by their tour guide, barely listening to the world around him.

Stopping before the one of the exhibits, depicting Aurora and her glory. But beyond that there was still much work in progress. Finally turning his attention back upward, he sighed. It was a shame such a structure wasn't funded well enough. It was all about technology and the future, the past was simply becoming... the past.

"What would she say if she looked upon us now? Would she feel love or scorn?"

Dimitri felt irritable, preferring to work in his shop, sheltered from the sun pouring in through the expansive skylights. But his twin was all too eager to see the latest exhibits of the history museum. Always had one of those stupid quips, like 'those who forget their history will be doomed to repeat it', and all that nonsense. But he couldn't deny his only brother, and so, with the use of the pouty face, Edmund had his way, and they were at the stupid museum, walking through the exhibits with what appeared to be just slightly slower than the rotation speed of Mobius beneath them, listening to the overly enthusiastic tour guide yap at them about this and that event, this war, that god, and someone who got himself killed.

In his honest opinion, with such an age of technology, Dimitri saw no use for looking at the history of dusty stiffs. Yes, they had come before, mortal as anyone else, and had their share of glory and mistakes and shame, like anyone else. 'History is useless', he once told his brother. 'The future is what you make for yourself, your actions, your decisions. No one from the past is ever going to influence me.'

Of course, this was a complete and utter lie, and he had to keep in a little smirk when he remembered that afternoon, but he already knew almost everything this museum had to offer, from the grade school books, and from his experience with his dirty little secret. Well, everyone had secrets, didn't they? Edmund needn't know.

He tuned out his brother's gleeful commentary five minutes in - "Wonderful colors, gorgeous texture, this one almost has personality..." and those inane questions "Do you think they were watching us, do you think they could see the future, do you want to go get some food?"

Estiban led them down another one of the endless corridors in this maze of a building, to the Demi-God Exhibit. Introduction by some of the gentler gods, goddesses, and generally people with power. There was Aurora, and her minions. Shivasu, a half-caste bride of some skirt wearing fag called Enos-Jakosha or whatever. A white dancer boy in the ferns, weaving a snake around himself. The ever-popular water deity Kaos, in the true Echidna form.

The colors attracted his interest. Where there wasn't reverential mock ups and mannequins of the various gods, there were tapestries and recreations of murals regarding legends of the past, and prophecies. There was an ancient tome under glass regarding the comprehensive times of Enos-Jakosha, especially regarding his fall from god-hood, (a subject of some controversy), in full detail, as well as the prophecies of the Gatekeeper, the Avatar, the Dancer and the Shell. Dimitri itched to look at the thing. Just a little peek.

Estiban was raving about how the book was a priceless work compiled over centuries by monks dedicated to the tarnished order of this god. He made a mental note to come back later, considering himself something of an expert in that field, and wishing to see his curiosities sated. You can't just kill a god, after all. Dimitri pretended to not look interested, glancing instead back to the blankly staring faces of the statues, some wearing feathered masks, others full-out garbed in multi-coloured robes that made his head hurt trying to look at them.

Edmund was tugging on his shoulder, trying to get his attention. He tried to suppress his irritation. "Yes. Later, brother." Goodness. If only he could distract the twin with-with a churo or something at the food court, he could slip away and look at that book.

He loved everything, the sights the sounds. Well not much noise outside of the effects added to each scene. Just making idle chatter with his brother. He couldn't help his excitement. Even when it was painfully obvious when Dimitri was ignoring him, Edmund simply continued his chatter. Down the halls of Demi Gods he paused every now and then... admiring some of the various masks that some gods wore, the interesting clothing of others.

It was amusing. When their guide was out of ear shot he turned to his brother, a dark glint in his eye. Yes, it was obvious how different their personalities and views were, but there was something the two could share. And no, not the love of history. Looking up hopefully at his brother, frowning when he didn't show the same enthusiasm. But that moment passed quickly. There was something he needed to ask, needed to know. Oh he could hear his brothers comments under his breath, little quips about what he said and thought.

"'You have a childish representation of life!' Or so you tell me brother. Is it because I choose to take on a child's like innocence and curiosity about the world?" He cracked a small, sly grin with spoke louder then any words could. "But you more then anyone know that I am far from innocent..."

On that note he took off further, heading away from the tour guide, down the more empty parts of the museum.

The tour guide walked on ahead of them, prattling so. He made to ditch the two and return to the book, but Estiban whirled back suddenly, with a wild eye, and Dimiti lost the courage. Estiban appeared intrigued by something, and leaned forward. "Well!" Dimitri crossed his arms for security, threatening easy pain. "What is it?" Then he noticed Edmund point to another mural on the wall, one regarding Enos-Jakosha, rather than the more popular gods, as well as that Avatar boy, returning from the grave to vanquish some idiot in a blue outfit, or something. And the most prominent symbol was that inverted slash of white upon the chest. A slash which the brothers shared.

"You are the children of Enos-Jakosha! It's very rare to see those around," Estiban said authoritatively. Edmund started to say that he wasn't the child of anyone named Enos-whatsit, and that he was a rather important scientist, but the tour guide shushed him. "Descendants of a race of priests and monks from his order! Of which, the glorious Avatar will be born, some say an incarnation of the god." Dimitri's adam apple bobbed nervously as he gulped. "Thats... crazy. No one has seen any prophecies of the Avatar in quite some time. There's no way that a god would become mortal... and from what you've told us, this Eno-whoever is not a god any more."

The tour guide shrugged. "You just don't believe." Dimitri glared him down, then looked anxiously for his missing brother. The last words came back to mind, glaringly painful. Did Edmund know that he knew? That he had spied on him and found him with... with the secret? He'd had nightmares ever since that night, completely horrified at his own brother's - his twin flesh, for that matter - actions. Preferences. If ever he wondered why his older brother was avoiding him, this was the answer. And now 'brother dearest' was missing. In this stupid, creepy museum, with a chatty tour guide. Lovely. He was probably going to miss the meeting too...

He wondered alone, leaving his 'older' brother to wallow in the mindset he had left behind. Edmond had to wonder if his brother took any joy in knowing his dark secret. Or was it shame that kept it under wraps still? No matter, he had come to enjoy the last moments before the meeting that would decide the coming fate of himself and his people. As much as he was thrilled to be working along with Council, he much rather liked working his own pace, creating what he thought and saw fit for his people. But the funding was a nice perk.

Having wandered deeper into the off limited parts of the museum, amused at how long it was taking to simply put the sculptures up. Just a moment of glancing this way and that, nothing more to explore he turned back around. He could swear he felt Dimitri coming at times, and when it was strong enough he slinked down, trying to evade his inevitable capture. Dimitri, after all, never seemed to linger in his brother's presence longer then he felt necessary. The 'younger' of the two would never admit to how badly it hurt, but he'd let his brother have his alone time, finding it humorous when Dimitri just missed him. Heading for the exit, plenty sure he'd get to that meeting before his brother.

"Sorry." He shoved past the tour guide. "It seems I have to go. Missing a prior engagement and all that jazz." Damn it all! The tour guide seemed upset, but Dimitri was more so. It wasn't as if he was going to -steal- the book, but he wanted to look at it, in detail and leisure. At his appartment. And then return it, of course. Now, he would have to make another trip to the museum. There wasn't time to return today, what with a meeting with the Order, and then afterward, with the Theocracy regarding the final arrangements on their Chaos Siphon project that they had been commisioned with a few months ago. A siphon that managed to fit into both plans on his agenda.

Likely, now, he would miss both meetings. His brother would probably turn up with a half eaten sandwich and whine about being left alone in the food court. Just like him, too.

Another wave of irritation passed as he remembered his narrow miss with the tour guide. 'Children of Enos-Jakosha' indeed! He could almost feel Edmund's eyes boring into him, questioning. Or worse, knowing, why he dodged it hastily, what he was tangled up in. It was one thing to know Edmund's secret, concerning the honor of self and family, and discreet to one or two. It was another to know the secret of a vast group, any word dropped possibly endangering hundreds. But it was very hard to keep things from Edmund. Brother always had a habit of following him around. Especially when they were younger, and playing tag or hide-and-be-found. It was the surest way for him to never get caught.

He had a prickling feeling, as if that were the case, once again, Edmund following and spying on him.

Dimitri passed rows of white statues in a long marble hall, and saw a faint hint of white lab coat streak around a corner. But when he went to see, Edmund was gone. His anger was expressed in punching an ornamental potted tree, completely destroying the object. It was almost humorous. But he hadn't time to laugh about something that he didn't understand why was so funny, when his brother was MIA.

He followed that direction, further into the arts section, goaded on by his brother's soft giggles. Edmund could never keep a straight counterance. Just the thought of his brother getting close to his hiding place would send off a battery of nervous giggles, giving his position away. He was always able to tell. But in the long echo-y halls, it only served to mysify and aggravate. He growled some moderate cuss words under his breath, and then caught sight of someone walking quickly towards the exit, out onto the lovely, sun-drenched balconies and terraces of the outdoor garden which accompanied the campus. Dimitri laid a justly heavy hand on his shoulder. "You shouldn't have left! You could have got yourself lost!"

Then a voice from behind them, one that made him, if possible, angrier. Menthor. Head of the Theocracy. Another person he had to pander and deal with. In the same museum with them. "Hide," he muttered to Edmund, who was still confused.

This was just a game, a simple hide-and-come-find-me. Though firstly it was just to escape his brothers downer like aurora. There was always something between them, it seemed. Growing apart in ideals and justifications in their own actions. But Edmand couldn't help but find a childish thrill in having his brother seek him out. Biting back his laughter, though an occasional chuckle would slip past. Always just one step ahead of his brother, and trying to head out to the sun drenched terrace. Too bad it was the wrong move. Who knew Dimitri was so quick? The echidna caught him off guard, a heavy hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, whats the deal? First you don't want me around, not your-" There was only a moment where he could collect his thoughts before he was suddenly being shoved out the door with little warning. Someone was coming toward them, Edmund could only make out a few familiar features before he was completely shut out. So much for actually hiding, he was being thrown out of the situation! Arms crossed over his chest, it was only the echidna's curiosity that kept him from simply turning and leaving. Listening in to the conversation that would come between the two.

Always having to protect his brother from bullies when they were younger. Now he was ushering him away from another painful confrontation with Menthor. By the gods, that man could not be any more irritating. Having shown him up once - just once - at the annual Science Exhibit, and now he was out for him for life. How was Dimitri to know he would run for public office and win? Now, every step of the Unity Project had to be begged off and pandered for, all through him.

If it was high school again - oh, so little time ago - he might have stood up for himself and punched him smartly in the face, but he was a respectable scientist, and he had a reputation to maintain, and Menthor hadn't actually attacked him or his brother. Yet. Dimitri would wait for any opportunity, amp up the aggression, let Menthor land the first hit, and the rest would be completely justified.

He missed high school. Life was simpler then.

His intent was to slip out the way of his brother, and high-tail it out of there, avoiding any confrontation, but somehow, the irritating person recognized him from the back, and hailed him in a fakely cordial manner. He sighed, and turned.

"Dimitri!!!" A gloved hand grabbed the ungloved in crushing grip of a handshake. That so-and-so of a scientist. He made him sick. Well, what now? Menthor was the leader of the council, and Dimitri was still working on his dissertation. How do ya like them apples? He could almost swear that the other was doing his best to crush his hand back.

"It is wonderful to see you out here, enjoying yourself in this public facility! What a lovely day! The sun is just refreshing!" Yes, choke on the sweetness. He had an image to maintain, and he could afford to be 'nice'. Besides, the pest looked like he wanted to be anywhere but here at this second.

"Sooo... I assume that both you and your brother will be attending the meeting with the Theocracy scheduled in two hours? The... very important meeting?" He picked at his fingers nonchalantly. Oh, it was good to have the power. Dimitri whined at him - well, it all sounded like whines to him, and he ignored it all. Where was that Edmund? Sure, he was a kiss-up, but he had the saner head in that family. There was a lot going for him. He would go places.

Menthor scanned the area, to no avail. Maybe there was a flash of red behind the trees on the terrace, but it wasn't enough. It could be anyone. Besides, Dimitri was in the way, being irritating again. Oy.

He watched as the door handle fidgeted, it look like his brother was trying to make a run for it. But then what fun would it be to deny such an interesting conversation? He held onto the handle and held the door firmly in place. It was about time the tables turned and his brother was faced with awkwardness and put on the spot. But his attitude changed dramatically as he picked up the scorn in Menthor's tone of voice. Slight but there. That fake tone never convinced him once. Anyone who an eye out for his brother was on his hit list.

Good or bad.

Watching through the peep hole, he never did much like the guy. But he could tolerate a lot more then his brother ever could. Any comments would have rolled right off his shoulders.

Only the comments Damitri had to share ever really got to him.

But he was still a coward, waiting for Menthor to give up and leave before trying to get his brother's attention. And if Menthor wasn't getting the picture Edmund was going to have to step in. "Excuse my Menthor, but I must steal my brother away for the moment. We have a prior engagement. If you wish us to make the meeting on time, we must be going. Now, if you please." Offering Menthor an innocent smile, submissive. He had a way of keeping that naive air about him, a innocence that was never there. Gripping his brother's wrist, trying to lead him away.

Oh, he loved watching the face twitched wince of Menthor when he gripped back. An extra hand to the bicep showed he was in control, not that pompous politician. By Aurora's rays, though, did he have to wear that stupid prissy wig everywhere?

"Oh yes. Delightful day. Marvelous sun." Dimitri glanced up at the high ceilings, constructed of a polymer fusion of glass and chlorophyl, designed to let sunlight filter in, while reducing the glare and ravaging effects its radiation held. He struggled to remember if it was one of Edmund's projects. The situation was indeed uncomfortable. Too bright.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the handle move slightly, and grabbed it with his other hand. No need to get Edmund involved. He would probably just end up with hurt feelings. Or, worse, believe everything that that priss said.

His eyebrow rose when Menthor mentioned the meeting. "Two hours? I... assumed that we had four. That is what the notice said..." He pulled out his Personal Data-Pad and checked it.

'Updated Time-Frame:
Meeting Revision - 1:30, Designated - High Protocol'

Dimitri muttered another curse. He wouldn't have enough time for both of the meetings now. Fortunately, the Order ranked highest priority, so he could just weasel his way out of confronting those half wit Theocrats again. "Ah. The meeting."

Tight smile of irritation as he remembered that he couldn't just feed them Edmund alone, on silver service. Brother would be eaten alive by them. "No. It is impossible. The tune-ups on the blueprint have yet to be approved, the model has yet to be created, the go-throughs, the Siphon itself... shoddy... dentist..." Okay, so he was never good with excuses. He was the action boy, the one who sprang to do things, not say things. Edmund was better at talking to people and making them listen.

He lifted his dark eyes to stare into Menthor's. "We are not coming to the meeting." Oh, if Menthor could kill with a look, his glare would have put him six feet under by now. Dimitri's concentrated stare was broken by the entrance of Edmund, pulling him away. He was led easily, like a child. Was his brother finally getting a backbone? It would be a blessed relief. "Thank you," he murmured to the other, trying to keep a slow and measured pace, filled with more bravado than he was feeling. Now, how to break the news to Edmund, and where would he stash the brother during the other meeting?

OOC: Taking over Edmund as per Enerjak's request~My first attempt at playing Edmund to...learning experience for me x_x

He could feel the obviously infuriated Echidna's gaze burrowing into his back and didn't bother looking behind him. Amazed with himself to even fetch his brother from the...death hold Menthor had contained Dimitri in. Only giving his brother a small nod, keeping his own body from jittering under the pressure his moment of courage brought.

Maybe he did gain a hint of a backbone or maybe not, could easily be possible he wished to go and look more into the museum with Dimitri. Either way it got them both away from Menthor. Leading them both around a corner to vanish from the other's sight, letting out a small breath. Surprised that he had been holding it as they made their escape.

Releasing his grip on Dimitri's wrist after a moment and soon poking his index fingers together, nervous motion. Still a bit too shaken to speak up and ask what Menthor was asking about.

Dimitri's dark eyes shifted from side to side, taking in the sights as they passed, but also trying to determine if Menthor would follow, if there were any traps, and also, to gauge the reaction and emotions of Edmund, who was obviously not in the best of conditions.

Once they were a good distance away, he prised his hand out of Edmund's stiff grip, and rubbed the muscles of his arm. He led, gently but firmly, towards the food court. Brother deserved a churro and an explanation. A full plate of foods made its way in front of his twin, which did much to ease the other.

Explanations were much harder, as was acknowledgement of the aid given. He stared at his folded hands for a while, before finally mustering up the strength. "...Thank you, for... getting me out of that situation. I would have preferred to handle it on my own, and leave you out of his slimy grip, but... I... you... " He looked up into smiling blue eyes, and felt uncomfortable again. "Thank you."

That was enough of mushiness. He straightened up, and adopted a more neutral face. The blush of embarrassment disappeared. "You have a right to know of the discussion. We... will not be meeting at the Theocracy today. I... have changed the plans. They will wait for us, after all, we are the only ones who can see this through, eh? Today, we... ehhh... we go out for ice cream... and then you can spend some time with your wife, while I attend to, certain matters..."

The jab about the wife was perhaps not the best, all things considered, but it was necessary to keep up the pretense that he didn't know what was going on. "You deserve a day off." Dimitri patted his brother on the head, just once. It was nice to see a smile.

Edmund was led away towards the food court just as easily as he had led Dimitri away from Menthor, sitting himself down at a table as soon as his brother parted to grab food. The soft smells of whatever the food court provided was more comforting than anything else. He needed food and something to grab his mind off things.

Only taking a few bites of a churro that was presented to him before his brother spoke up once more. A thank you? Wasn't really every day Dimitri thanked him, but it was nice to know that he did...care. Also good to know that he wasn't always so seri- never mind. Now he was back to buisness.

Only nodding in agreement. Ice cream sounded very good, no excellent. "Sounds like a plan." giving off a light hearted smile, even with the circumstances. Taking a more vibrant bite out of the churro. His shoulders sagging down as he settled down. Highly enjoying the thought of a day off, but Dimitri seemed to need one too. Knowing Edmund he said nothing about it and continued nibbling on his churro.

Quietly offering Dimitri the second one and looking up to his brother in the eye with an expectant look. They both deserved a churro.

Dimitri stared at the churro presented to him for a few seconds, before hesitantly taking it from willing fingers. He wasn't too big a fan of over-sweetened dessert products, a fact which Edmund knew, but it would hurt his brother's feelings if he refused such a heavy sacrifice on his twin's part. A nod was the only thank this time, and he took a big, absent-minded bite on it, before remembering exactly how much sugar there was in a churro. He repressed a strangled gag.

"Ohhh. De...licious..." He wanted to weep, but choked down another piece. "Well, look at the time. Ice cream for you!" The churro was chucked into Edmund's large 'take-away' bag, to be forgotten, hopefully, as he tugged his brother away urgently.

The ice-cream shop was four blocks down, owned by a kindly older Echidna. It was a place Edmund frequented often, with his sweet tooth and appetite. Dimitri found no trouble getting seats at the soda counter this late in the afternoon, and plopped another over-sugared item in front of his brother, who attacked it as if it had insulted him again.

He made a motion towards the owner, signifying a maximum of 3 more milkshakes/ice cream products to be consumed, then stood. "Excuse me. I have to go to the loo. I will be back..." Brother was oblivious to anything except his dairy product. Dimitri made his way out the back door, and onto the streets again. He wasn't lying, per se. He would be back... just not any time soon. He had a meeting to attend to.

Being pulled out of the food court again he paid no attention that his offered Churro was discarded in the 'take-away' bag. Following by his brother out of the museum if a little reluctantly, he'll just return later to finish reading. Or whatever he had been planning to do.

Sitting down again at where Dimitri placed him and happily took the soda, taking several gulps before flinching at the severe burning at the back of his throat. Setting the can down and letting off a rather happy...but unexpected belch. Covering his mouth with blush tainted cheeks. Proceeding to bite into the ice cream he was presented shortly afterwards.

Paying no mind to Dimitri leaving for the bathroom but Edmund wasn't paying any attention to his brother, only to the food he happily munched on. Allowing Dimitri to escape without being caught.

Dimitri made his way slowly over to the building, taking back routes, double-backing, and ensuring that no one was following him. Due to expediency, he didn't look back too often, or take too many turn-abouts. For security purposes, the location of the meetings changed every time. They were generally held in the older section of the city, where there was more secret passages, tunnels, and hidden rooms, unknown to most of the city's inhabitants.

He stopped once, in an alley, removed his lab coat, white boots, and magnifier, replaced them with a dark cloak, covering him from face to toes, and some black shoes, returned his backpack to his shoulders, and left the alley through the other entrance, not breaking in stride. Dimitri kept his face down, knowing the city well enough not to look, but still glancing back time to time to see if he was followed.

An older brick building was the spot this time. He gave the secret knock, and was allowed entrance through what appeared to be a wall, but was a carefully concealed doorway. Narrow steps led down to a basement, lit by candles. The others were waiting for him.

They were also wearing dark cloaks, but for the leader, who wore a white cloak. The member who had followed Dimitri down gave a small nod towards the leader. They were all there - all who were invited, at least. The regular meetings were not attended by the lesser ranks, who instead received confidential missives to their information pads. It was easier to manage avoiding detection with smaller parties. Under emergency situation, they came together under pretext of krewe.

The leader raised his arms, and the others formed a circle. "The meeting of the Order commences. All in attendence, for the purpose of the continuance of the Sect of Enos-Jakosha, our Holy and Maligned Lord of Justice." All chanted: "May his name be praised, may his commands be obeyed, and may he live on in our memory."

"My brothers," the leader continued, "We are gathered once again, under the banner of our loyalty and devotion to a forgotten god. Soon though, the Circles willing, we shall see him again. Have you any updates on the situation in the archive facility, Uta?" Even in the event of sabotage, infiltration, and surveillance, the names of the members would remain hidden, instead using Echidnian letters. Dimitri's was Nara.

When it came his turn to report the status, he paused for a moment. "The Siphon is almost finished, Osa. It is untested, but I believe it shall do what I have built it to do. If the Theocracy allows, I shall soon be next to the twelve Emeralds, with nigh unlimited access. Enos-Jakosha's will be done, your Vessel Plan shall proceed without hinderance."

"Excellent." Osa nodded, and made some signs in the air, likely a benediction. "Then we may proceed onward. It is your honor to carry this out, and you shall do this, with or without the word of the Theocracy and Council."

"Aye." Dimitri bowed. "Dismiss three minutes for conference," Osa declared. Dimitri moved over towards 'Nazo', who's white hands were the only thing visible. "Knowing the events to come..." he started quietly. "I would like you to watch my brother for me, and comfort him, if I fail, or succeed. Obviously, 'we' don't work, but, knowing who he is, to me, and to you, perhaps it would be better if you two remained together. Would you do this for me?" Nazo nodded quietly.

'Nazo' would nod again before turn his head and possibly his attention towards the door, pondering on what to say to Dimitri's brother if things end horribly. But that is for when the events occur. Either way their god will return in full force...somehow. All of it depended on Dimitri.

"I will do what I can 'Nara'." speaking to his fellow cult member with his code name, as his was Nazo. The grip on both of his own hands seeming to tighten. "Be sure that things do not end horribly, you are his brother." soon shaking his head. "But as I have said I will do what I can for him. For your sake I will care for him whatever way I can."

His gaze seeming to turn over towards the others they shared this secret with, to see if they were returning from...where ever they happened to wonder off to. "Long live Enos-Jakosha." speaking to Dimitri as he meant to depart from their conversation and join another. Stepping away from his fellow echidna and walking over towards the others.

'Osa', or Shazer-Ku, as he was known outside the Order, was the Elder Guard, the highest rank of warrior-priest able to be attained. He had been trained since birth for this position, as had his father, and his father before him, and so forth, back from when their god had fallen, and when their sect was no longer allowed to worship, or practice.

Few remembered Enos-Jakosha. Only the Order knew the legend of his fall, in its fullness. He was put on watch after killing the God of Lust, then the trial determined after falling in love with a mortal boy. Both boy and god defied the will of the gods, and as consequence, their souls were cut in three, and scattered. There was redemption: should they both find their soul pieces, return to normal, and prove their love unerring and pure, then the sentence would be reformed, and he would return to god-hood.

The Order was created to remember the rites and ceremonies of the sect of Enos-Jakosha, his woeful history, and also, to search for, and collect the soul pieces from reincarnated mortal forms.

They had found three, two from the mortal, and one from the god. The only apparent problem was how to awaken them. That was where the Vessel Plan came in. All too easy, when they were all scientists...

Osa was not overly proud of finding three pieces - once, four had been found by his great-grandfather, only for them to die before the others were found. Still, he did take pride in their regard for the Order, and for their willingness to go beyond the norm in trials and experiments to attempt to regain their other pieces. A test was being done right now with other, minor emeralds, as well as the Servers, to see if using them in sequence with a shard of soul could locate the others. The Servers did have an affinity for the others, after all. However, the results were inconclusive at this point.

It was rather a pity, he thought, as he watched 'Nara' and 'Nazo', that the two were not attracted to each other. It would make everything so much easier. But a shrug came from him. There was no problem, so long as they could bring Edmund into the fold...

Nazo however turned and glanced back over to 'Nara' giving off a small grunt to get his attention temporarily. "When is the plan taking place? I am sure our god is growing restless and awaits to be awakened." speaking softly as he soon turned fully to the other once more. Highly curious to when the plan will be acted upon as well as when they will finally meet the cast out god. Even if it wont be...techincally the original.

With how their god's soul has been split apart into three pieces..only the one they have managed to collect. It should bring into light what their god was like, the powers he possessed. It was intoxicating to even think that in his lifetime the god they worshiped for many generations was being brought back to life.

Now stepping closer to Dimitri again, needing the answers to the questions that had come up in the recent moments.

Dimitri stepped closer, until his mouth was almost right next to the other's ear, to keep it as quiet as possible. "Since they have kept us so close, I think you are priveliged to this information. By the end of this week, the deed will be done. I have no idea what so much Chaos Energy will do to the mortal body, but Osa claims that it will awaken something..."

He paused for a second, considering whether or not to relate his feelings on the situation, before figuring that Nazo had a right to know. "Truthfully, Nazo, I am not sure that I want this for me. All my life, I have followed the doctrines and laws. I entered the Order, believing to be a disciplined disciple of the Great God, and they tell me I am him, or, what's left of him. If this does not work, or if I am not he, then I am dead. If it does, then I will no longer be me. These memories, this person I am, will be useless. What will I consider my brother? A stranger? What will I do with that power? Why should I command, and take this Order from Osa and his family? What right have I to take over, and make everyone obey? What right have I to be Enos-Jakosha?"

Dimitri looked over at the other cloaked figures, whispering among themselves. "As soon as they sensed... whatever it was in me, they announced it to every member of this cult. They look up to me, and see me as the god, pre-blossom. Unfulfilled. Immature. I feel like I cannot live up to their expectations, and deliver what they want."

He stuffed his hands into his pockets, and sighed. "And then... some nights... I feel... whoever he was, in my heart. And I get so angry. Angry because he was cut up in pieces, over some stupid thing like infidelity, or going out of caste designations, or maybe even because this... whoever... was a boy. I find hatred in my heart for his wife, and the other gods, and for every mortal who has hindered his return... He calls for his vengence, even if he has to bring down the entire Fourth Circle, and him with it... And though I am protective... when I get these urges, I'm almost positively homocidal. I never wanted to be a warrior. Just a ponderer. So watch over my twin for me. Circles help anything go wrong..." Much more was implied than said, but Dimitri hoped Nazo got the point.
