Xue looked stricken when Ken basically yelled at her! What did he even mean? She never had a mother, only two fathers... Before she could open her mouth again to explain Lei broke in, pulling her back and shutting her up with a gentle squeeze of her shoulder. Her ears sagged, clinging to her dolly tighter. Why did Lei just say they were orphans? ...were they really Orphans? Judging by how their parents didn't even greet them with the usual love and care, perhaps he was right! From there came the waterworks, breaking into another bout of sobs. It didn't help that she took everything Lei said to heart.

Xiaolian looked between her brother then down to Xue. This was turning into a rather odd mess. Not so much the emotional type she didn't know how to shut their sister up. Maybe this would work in their favor? In any case, she was ready to send the poop flying when they needed it. They could always count on her for a good distraction.

Ken looked over at Miles, his brow furrowing before he crossed his arms over his chest, appearing more at ease then he was before. His staff clenched tightly in his tail. The girls sudden bout of crying did seem to mar him, but it showed little on his features. These kids...were too old to be his anyway!Well there was that one time in... "No sir, I assure you they are NOT mine." Conflicted with the urge to comfort the girl, or was it just the need to make her whining stop?

Watching Xue break down after Lei's explanation, his ears folded back... No, he did not like to see her cry like that but after judging from Lei's reactions earlier? Lei may have had the same thought process he himself had. The poor thing, though... but he kept his tongue bit back, tails curling round himself a bit, merely watching for now.

So it was just an initial reaction then. Still he only watched, eye adjusting a bit, not even seeming phased by the girl's sobbing. Hm...

Mia's ears flattened against her head when the girl started crying. What the brown-furred boy had said must have upset her a lot. Casting a glance at Cole, taking note of the look on her brother's face. She didn't move to comfort the white-furred kit, considering she wasn't one of her siblings and she wasn't the comforting type.

Lei winced. He hadn't meant to make Xue cry like that. He rubbed gently at his sister's shoulders, leaning down to whisper into her ear. "Xue, I need you to be a good girl for me," he murmured, stroking her hair back from her face. "This is a game, alright? Dad and father don't know you've caught on, so be a good girl until the game ends, okay?" Hopefully she would quieten after that...Xue liked games after all.

Miles winced when the kit started bawling. Upon hearing Ken's words that the kits weren't his (and indeed, he could see the family resemblance), and the boy's claim, his brow furrowed deeply, arms still crossed behind his back as his ears flicked back and forth on top of his head. "I'm afraid you're mistaken, boy. Scourge never rose to power. He was...taken care of before he could." A dark smile curled on his lips at the memory, his head tilting as he placed a hand on his hip. "I control this world."

Her sobs became shuddering gasps for air. Rubbing her eyes, sniffling, turning her gaze up at Lei. His soft words seemed to do the trick, but she was still flushed and now tired from the strain of the days events. Nodding slowly in response, "ok.." Perhaps she didn't quite buy his excuse, but she was one to believe Lei's words without question. Keeping her head down, the plushy head of her doll pressed over her lips. Once more the timid princess.

Xiaoling raised his brow at his siblings. It just wasn't...natural how easily he could calm her. But it was nothing to complain about now. Returning his attention to Miles, then Ken, back to the King. His heart hurt, if only he wished a bit more attention on himself. Quirking his head, that bit of information about Scourge seemed to catch him off guard. In there time line Scourge had been a tyrant their father vanquished admirably. So, this wasn't just a time jump? Ugh, there goes another blistering headache. Maybe Lei would explain it to him better later. Damn, he couldn't quite come up with a lie to cover up Lei's! What good was being the leader now? Damn it. "King Miles, sir, me and my siblings have been through a lot over a short period of time. We're just a little mixed up, that's all. They are suffering from delusions?" Damn, here's hoping they would buy that.

Ken stepped forward, this situation seemed to be adding more questions then answers. That and he was rather interested in what else he could get the brats to say. But another conflict of interest, he wanted real answers for his King, but he couldn't stand to see any harm come to the kids. Taking his place to the left of Miles, muttering. "What do you think?"

Scourge...didn't reign? So this was not merely a time jump. His tails uncurled, brushing back again. Intentionally, he folded his arms behind himself. So this was not their father, then. Only a mere copy in another universe, terrific. Well then, that broke their obligation not to say anything... it would not mess with their own time-lines. Well, their as in Mia and his. He was not so certain of these others. They truly were fighting to keep Xue quelled and at the same time not lead to anything, so perhaps... No, the boy said Scourge was defeated as well. It would be a risk then without knowing for certain. Asking sanctuary would be too much of a request, he felt, but he was not sure... No, hold the card back for now. Nothing of true harm was suggested yet, and he may need that ace later. At least Xue was calming down, that was good...

A different universe entirely? Lei frowned, pursing his lips together. This was not good. Not good at all. Though it did give them some free reign to tell the truth. No telling what might happen in this universe's future though. Upon hearing Xiaoling's idiotic explanation, though, he literally facepalmed, groaning into his hand. There was no way their father was going to fall for that...

Xiaolian's ears flickered back as she heard Xiaoling's explanation. She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. She was contemplating giving Xiaoling a poop pie to the face later on just for that. Really, it wasn't as if their dad was stupid...

Miles raised an eyebrow as Ken asked him what he thought, crossing his arms behind his back as he once more surveyed the children. He honestly didn't know what to think, tails twitching behind him in thought. When the loud-mouth boy spoke, he raised an eyebrow, stepping closer to the younger boy with an apathetic look on his face as he raised his hand, taking hold of the lapel of Xiaoling's kimono and he jerked the boy forward.

"Do you really take me for a fool?" he hissed, his eyes narrowing dangerously. He let go of the boy's kimono, shoving him back into line and turning away from the group, his tails fluffing up in annoyance as he ran a hand down the sleeve of his jacket. "I will allow you to converse amongst yourselves. If it is shelter you need, there are guest rooms readily available here. However, I DO expect the truth at some point in time, or there will be consequences."

Making his way back to the throne, he paused briefly to address his bodyguard. "Lead them to the guest rooms." He turned on his heel and flopped back down in his throne, leaning back. "You have 24 hours, beginning now."

Xiaoling saw nothing wrong with what he had said! Though he had to admit he could have thought it out better. He didn't know what to do! Being the brains was often Lei's job! And hell, he could have mentioned disclosing the truth wouldn't be trouble. Instead he was forced face to face with his father, that terrible look in his eye. Swallowing thickly, not sure whether or not Miles would really hurt him. Stumbling back, trying his best to not look any more foolish. Looking down with a heated flush to his cheeks. When Miles offered them shelter he merely lowered his head, letting Lei and his sister decide what to do. Keeping his mouth shut for the rest of the day seemed like a good idea!

Ken snickered, finding the boy's expression hilarious. Did he really think Miles could believe something so far fetched, so obviously fake. It only furthered the need to know what they were hiding. But Miles seemed to be going rather easy on these kids. Twenty four hours? That was kindly! Was the kit slipping? Nah, there was something their king was planning no doubt.

Xue found nothing wrong in what Xiaoling said, though she never did believe a word he had to say. It was funny, really. This game was getting interesting, though when Miles approached showing a rather aggressive side toward Xiaoling, it wasn't much fun anymore. Her brow furrowed, gasping slightly when Xiaoling was shoved backward, bumping into her without warning. Dropping her doll, biting down on her lip in the sudden display of force that was no game. Breaking down into tears again. "Why is daddy being so mean? I don't like this game anymore!" It didn't help she couldn't remember what had happened in the last few hours. She wanted her bed, her dolls, to hug her father. The frustration building over, powers crackling around her. Not to mention the voices in her head that demanded a show of force. Daddy was being unfair. He should be punished..

Cole's ears folded back, a minor, visible flinch at Miles' reaction to the boy. Sure his explanation was flawed but Cole could not fault him... this was a level of stress not many are prepared to handle, and it was obvious this one was... lets say more of an emotional thinker than a logical one. Points for trying, however. After hearing Xue's words, and the order from Miles' previously, he tensed... he did not wish to see anyone harmed due to stress. A break may be good, and perhaps he could speak with the more intelligent boy and see what their side of the story is... plus, he did not wish to speak out to Miles without first speaking with his sister to ensure the safest course... and he felt for the siblings nearby. Perhaps discussing among themselves first -would- be appropriate. He'd turn his head, one ear lifting to swivel a bit as he hesitated, eyes on the clearly upset Xue...

"...Perhaps taking His Majesty's offer, and break to calm our nerves, would be most wise so that we may sort things out accordingly?" Though his eyes were on Xue, it was addressed to the whole party they made. Even if Mia and he claimed they were not with this group, the fact they were found together works against them. It felt, to him, this may be judged as an all or nothing situation - and he was not about to allow everyone to be hurt without proper reasoning attempted first. A glance up to his sister, before he would bow appropriately to Miles once as he did before: "I apologize on behalf of this group for the intrusion, Your Majesty, and humbly give you our thanks for sheltering us. We will have the answers you seek within your allotted time." playing the royal court card. He knew royalties as his father had been teaching him them; he could only hope such a gesture may grant them a little favor from the anger Miles had just shown, and made ready to follow Mia.

At the order, Espio bowed his head and would move, walking pass the group (outbursts and words aside) to the doors, waiting there for them to show ready to follow. Much like before when he brought them here, unless he was going to be directly spoken to he did not intend to speak to them unless it was needed. Though his thoughts were much like Ken's own. Miles was going easy, but he held faith his King knew what he was doing.

Oh dear... Lei dragged his hand down his face, feeling a familiar chill run through his blood. He had to agree with the other boy - perhaps some tiime to think things over and relax was needed. He stooped down next to Xue, picking up her dolly and handing it to her. "It's okay, Xue. I'll explain everything. I promise," he said, rubbing her shoulders, trying to quell her fears. He could feel her power rising, and it wasn't going to end well if it wasn't intervened.

Miles had leaned his head on one of his hands, his eyes closed, but whe the girl spoke, his ears flicked forward, showing he was listening. 'Daddy'? What the Hell was going on here...? Then again, the disturbance he had felt earlier in the Chaos Force when the group arrived, plus her words...he had a theory, but he wasn't going to say anything until the children decided otherwise.

The King opened one eye when he felt power lacing through the air, his gaze locking on the white-furred girl as she gained his interest. Such power... A small smirk curled across his lips as he closed his eye again, leaning back in his throne. He waved his hand nonchalantly in reply to the boy's words, indicating they should leave before he changed his mind.

Mia gave a small sigh of relief with Cole's suggestion, one of her hands being placed on her hip as she gave her own bow towards this copy of their father, turning away to follow Sensei...well, he wasn't really Sensei, but how could she think otherwise? She cast a glance to Cole, meeting his gaze before looking at the apparent youngest of the other four, feeling a cold chill run up her spine when she did so.

Trembling in fear and anger, terrified and just plain tired, Xue couldn't keep her anger up any longer. Loosing focus of her power, a sharp wave of pain would shoot into anyone too close. Wiping her tears, picking up her doll by one of its plushy arms. Other then that outburst she followed her 'older' brothers choice of remaining silent the rest of the day. Casting one last look at Miles before turning away. Following after her brother, taking his hand as they walked side by side. The doll casting it's own cold gaze at Miles. It's smile seemed to grow wider, a flicker of light crossed over the button eyes.

Ken was just as surprised by the child's outburst. Had it not been the first one, referring to him as 'father' and then Miles as 'daddy', it just wasn't right. Again Miles' smug expression, his careless attitude just didn't sit right with him. This sparked his interest, and without orders from Miles he would follow after the group. He wanted to have a word with the small female.

Oh, and they wanted to call HIM a loud mouth, or he was sure they wanted to. Xiaoling didn't know where to put his face when Xue declared their little secret. Judging by how Miles just shrugged it off... something was up. There father didn't let things go so easily. Rubbing the back of his neck, the little show of force earlier seemed like proof enough. Watching curiously as Ken began to follow after them. The younger version of their father seemed a lot more..cruel then he remembered. There was no kindness in the smile he wore. No gentleness in his tone. Looking ahead of him... he couldn't help but notice the female reptile had taken the lead. How...attractive! He could tell she was leader material. He wondered what he name was... His eyes darting to her twin tails, there goes the staring!

Good, they followed. Of course not going to tell Ken what to do, it was none of his business. He led them to one of the halls that contained the guest rooms, a strategically picked one that would make escaping rather difficult. Well, for children especially, but Espio's mind was made that the female reptilian hybrid had a few tricks up her sleeve and he needed to keep that into consideration. He would about face suddenly, gesturing both hands out to two double doors that stood across from one another in the hallway. "Each room contains three beds apiece, fully furnished with lounge and bathroom." His eye lifted to Ken a moment, before back down, focusing on the eldest female for the moment, studying her. He'd let them chose which were going where, of course..

So far? Though it was obvious it was not their own father, he acted the same. That meant they would have to be careful to some extent... wonderful. How to do this? His gaze would shift to the intelligent boy before he stopped when Espio addressed them. Reflexively he stepped close to his sister. Three to a room? Huh...

The same time Cole stepped closer to his sister, Lei would place his own hand on Xue's shoulder, meeting the other boy's gaze before glancing away, his attention on the older reptile. While it was obvious that siblings should stick with siblings, the brown-furred kit gave a small sigh, looking at his brother and sisters, and also at the strangers, doing a headcount.

"Perhaps we should give the girls some privacy," he said, gesturing to himself, Xiaoling and Cole. "The rooms are right across the hallway from each other, so it wouldn't be like we'd be too far apart if something were to happen." Not that he was thinking something would, but in an unknown universe, you could never tell...

Xiaolian's ears pulled back slightly against her head. Things didn't sit right with her. That wasn't their dad as far as she was concerned, just someone mimicking him. But she followed the group, once more taking Xue's right side out of pure habit mostly. When Lei suggested they take rooms according to gender, Xiaolian shrugged. "S'fine with me."

Mia crossed her arms languidly over her stomach as Sens...Espio explained the room setups to them. Noticing Cole's reflexive slide to stand next to her, she couldn't help but agree with the brown-furred boy's suggestion. She shrugged, tails wavering in the air behind her. "Either way, I don't care really." She could keep an eye on Cole across the hallway just as easily as she could if they were in the same room.

Well brought up with the impossible answer of how to split this up, of course Lei had to go and make his suggestion. Ears pinned back, seeing no other possible way to split the room evenly. Though he would have easily suggested he keep an eye on the...strangers. Once more catching himself staring at the female lizard. Noticeably blushing before turning his attention to the girls.

"I..suppose. If anything, you just call on me." Addressing Xue and Xiaolian, pointing to himself.

Xue glanced at both the doors, then at her siblings, back to the doors again. Doing the math in her head, and it wasn't coming out right. They would have to split up? But... curling in on herself, hugging her toy to her chest tightly. When it was basically decided they they would split into girls side and boys side she nearly flipped. Wrapping her arms around Lei, shaking her head. After this traumatic moment she didn't want to be separated from him. Burying her face in his jacket, shaking her head. "No!" Basic and simple... she wouldn't mind sharing the bed with him anyway.

The suggestion of girls and boys separated was not a bad one. Though he would not be near his sister he was confident he could handle his own... at least, against what would be his roommates. Xue's outburst however turned his attention to her, ears twitching... such a fragile thing, wasn't she? And clearly attached to the brown-boy.

"I am not against the idea... but we have a bit of time unless anyone is immediately tired. We could sit in one of the lounges until everyone has calmed down and discuss things from there." and if the little Xue passes out, we can designate that the girls' room and move accordingly when the time comes, if plans are not made to change it. Point being, right now having a hysterical girl was not something he wanted right now and if the boy was what made her comfortable than so be it, work with something to get her more adjusted to the idea.

Lei suddenly found himself with an arm-full of Xue, who clung to his jacket. He was used to such things, though. He placed his arm around her shoulders, smoothing out her hair gently with his other hand. They'd gone through so much in only a short amount of time, and she didn't get that this wasn't their home. He'd explain it to her with the oreo cookie method shortly.

Looking up at the other boy's suggestion, he nodded. "I think that's wise," he commented, standing properly but with his hand still on Xue's shoulder. "We can discuss...certain things that way." And if Xue fell asleep, he'd be more than willing to carry her across the hall to the girl's room. He still wanted to know what the deal was with those two. "Perhaps reach a conclusion sooner."

Mia shifted where she stood, her arms still crossed over her stomach. While she wanted to know what the situation was, she was beginning to get a little anxious, her tails flicking behind her. Something was very wrong with this...dimension or whatever they were in. It didn't sit right with her. Looking out the corner of her eyes at the younger version of Sensei, her ears flicked before she spoke. "Well, I know I'm not going to get to sleep anytime soon," she said, brushing some hair out of her eyes.

She'd been on her way to training when she'd knocked on Cole's door, so she was in her training gear right now without a change of clothes. Great. Mia turned her head to address Espio. "Are there any training grounds here? I'd like to use them after we talk about things."

She didn't like this one bit, nothing was right here. She wanted her father, her dad. Not the fake, mean ones. Only loosening up on her hold when they moved with to the lounge to discuss this further. Of course she would have nothing to comment on their predicament. Curling up around Lei once they were situated in a comfy spot. Resting her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat that would steadily lull her into a sleep. Often the only real way a child could deal with extreme fear and stress, sleep. Of course her hold was still solid, even in sleep refusing to relinquish her full hold on Lei.

He sighed, rubbing the back of his ear, tails twitching. Ok, well now that was settled it would be a great time to talk amongst the 'adults'. Waiting to catch Mia's attention. Of course he waited for everyone to be situated first before speaking up. "It's obvious we don't belong here. None of us. Anyone care to make a theory as to how and why? Because I got nothing."

Xiaolian shot her brother a look, trying to help Lei remove Xue from his jacket. Rubbing her temple, murmuring into her ear. That often did help, and this try was no different. Pulling the sleeping girl into her arms, but don't think her sentimental! She only needed Lei to be clearheaded when he decided to blurt out his scientific ramblings. Idling with the child's hair, looking over to find that Espio and Ken were still around. Why did their father give her such a bad vibe?

Ken kept his distance from the group of children, thought he listened intently. Really, he held a special interest in the white furred female. Rubbing his chin, grinning something dark. Lets just say what went through his mind was nothing...worth mentioning out loud. Looking over at Espio, giving him a sly wink.

Espio arched a brow slightly to Mia as he was addressed. "There are, yes. I can show you to them if you like when you feel you are completed." As the children filed in, he caught Ken's gaze and quirked a brow at the wink. A select few things went through his mind of what the monkey could be thinking, and he only closed his eye with a small shake of his head. So long as it does not interfere with what Miles may want, he did not care. As the children seemed to be getting settled, he moved to the door; the point was to give the children privacy.... or at least, the illusion of it.

Cole sat down with the other children, ears perking as Xiaoling held his attention with the opening statement. He leaned back, tapping his fingers together before he gave a nod: "By the sound of it we're all from another dimension. Scourge, too," His eyes adverted to the brown haired boy, "had reign for some time before our own King Miles had stepped up and taken over; but if we are all from the same? I have my doubts..." Particularly if your young albino is to be believed in calling Miles 'father'. His tails twitched slightly behind himself, allowing his eyes to observe the group around him a moment...

"That'd be great, thanks." Giving him a small smile as she filed into the room. Honestly, Mia didn't feel like she was going to get any sleep anytime soon. And she more than likely needed to keep her skills in tip-top shape, especially if she was going to have to look after the four other kits as well as her brother. What a pain. She stood next to her brother, arms crossed over her stomach with one hand lingering near her weapon's pouch on her hip.

Lei gave a sigh and smiled a thanks to Xiaolian as she took Xue from him, his fingers lingering on Xue's shoulders to make sure she was okay. He looked up at the other boy's words. "Ours as well," he said, leaning back on his hands as he tapped his chin. "Though I sincerely doubt we come from the same universe. I'm sure father would have told us that we had siblings."

Xiaolian sighed, not like Xue was heavy or anything, really the child weight nearly nothing! But she just didn't like the contact much. Eyeing the closest room, and having nothing much to comment about at the moment, she would settle Xue into one of the beds in one of the empty rooms. Tucking her in before leaning in the doorway, hands behind her head, seeming causal about all of this. She seemed to take this whole situation rather...pleasantly. Another chill ran through her spine, looking up and catching Ken's eye. The way he was staring at the group didn't sit right. Perhaps it was the reason she didn't want to leave Xue completely alone in the room. Listening to her brother and the male ramble on. "Ok, so we're not in our home. I just want to know how to get back...after we do some exploring." Grin from ear to ear.

Xiaoling rubbed his chin thoughtfully, thought his mind wasn't all on the crisis of getting home. Once more he found himself entranced by the older female of the group. Perhaps it was lack of female company, other then his little sisters, that had him so enthralled with her. He had to wonder if this had to do with puberty... when Lei Xiaolian spoke up he sighed audibly. "Of course you would say something like that. Fire could rain from the sky and you'd wonder when we could go out to play." Horrible comparison, but he wasn't really look at her when he was talking. "I don't like it here." This time he would cast his glance over at the lizard who thought he was hiding. "I don't trust anyone."

Ken cursed, seeing that Xiaolian, or whatever her name was, was purposefully standing in his way. Tail twitching beneath his robes. Shuffling closer to Espio, the so called body guard to the King. That should have been his appointed position.. "So, what now. Going to spy on the kids for the next twenty four hours? I'll be glad to take half the shift." When the kids were fast asleep of course. They were kids. They would need it before meeting with Miles, right? If not, they would still be easy pickings..

Honestly there was no point in hiding. He merely was giving them distance - he knew the half-chameleon could see him when he was cloaked... that one golden eye shifted as Ken approached, tilting his head slightly, observing him. They weren't under orders to watch them, so he gave a small nod of agreement. "That would be fine." Could it hurt? Maybe. But also if the female who had caught his own eye intended to stay up training, he wanted to see what she was capable of; everyone had their own agendas, as they say...

Cole gave a nod to them as they spoke, taking it in... "Ours would have informed us as well." But with that he sat straight, ears pricking a bit. "My name is Cole, and to answer how to get back would... greatly depend how we got here." His arms crossed with a heavy sigh. "Usually when dimension hopping, from what I read of my own father's notes, you are delivered into the same time if the dimension you just left, unless something occurs to cause the axis of your own dimension's time to move at a different speed." He glanced up to his sister then, one ear folded down, a curious look on his face. He was still curious if his time machine had worked...

Mia's ears flicked around on top of her head as she listened for anything out of the ordinary outside the room as Cole spoke, her arms still crossed languidly as her tails curled and uncurled. Opening her eyes, she blinked, noticing the yellow-furred boy looking at her. Huh. Weird. "My name's Mia," she said, introducing herself after Cole had finished speaking. "I suggest we all retrace our steps to what we were doing before we got here."

Lei, to say the least, was curious now. Cole seemed to have a valid explanation. His own father's research had stated the same thing. Looking up when Mia spoke, he nodded his agreement with her suggestion. Retracing steps seemed to be the most obvious thing, now that they had calmed down. "My name's Lei," he said, pulling himself forward and cupping his hands to rest his chin on them. "I was studying father's warp rings just before we arrived here. Xue was in the room with me at the time."

Since everyone was making their intros Xiaoling broke in, giving a slight inclination of his head. "My name is Xiaoling, and it's a pleasure to meet you, Mia-" He paused in mid flirt, turning to Lei and pointing at him with a dramatic motion. His smile becoming a sneer. "I knew it was you! So this all your fault! Not to mention when Xue was around! You're a horrible influence on her! He's going to be a-" He cut himself off, not about to carry this conversation on any more with so many around. Electricity danced around his fur. If no one had been around he could have lashed out at his younger brother. So, it was Lei's fault, whether directly or indirectly. He better hope they could get back. He didn't want to deal with such a bad tempered Father. Fuming he decided it was better to go check up on their little sister.

Xiaolian cleared her throat, ready to introduce herself as well, till her 'older' brother decided to jump in and start yelling. She knew he would crack under pressure. Now just to wait till he went on a psychotic rampage and try and kill Lei. Would be an interesting bout that would last all of five seconds. Moving aside when he walked past to go check on Xue. "Well... my name is Xiaolian, so is anyone else going to have an outburst?"

Xue was startled by all the yelling, sitting up in bed. Gasping sharply as the shadow of a figure who had snuck into her room was caste over her. Somehow Ken was able to sneak into the room. Most likely through one of Xiaoling's stupid comments. The boy worked as a great distraction. She clung to her doll, not sure what to make of him since this was -not- her father. Right? Even as he cupped her cheek, the look in his eyes just...wasn't the same. A look he would only wear for daddy.

Cole gave a nod of greeting as they introduced himself, but his ears folded back at Xiaoling's accusations. Lacing his fingers together to rest in his lap calmly, his ears lifted as the boy silenced himself. Only then, did he speak, "I was running experiments on a time machine I have been building over the years. As far as I am aware, I was alone in the laboratory at the time when I did another trial run." His eyes were on Lei. Warp rings certainly held the power to open dimensions when backed by something...but... across dimensions like that? He did feel this jump back in time may have been his own doing, but still it was... interesting... to say the least.

I can has evil plan?

Lei sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose. He should have known Xiaoling would outright accuse him of causing the space/time rift. When Xiaolian spoke, he nodded, standing from his seat on one of the beds. "Yeah. I do." Walking over to Xiaoling, he got right into his brother's face, jabbing his chest with a finger.

"If I'm so responsible for our predicament, tell me why you and Xiaolian are here? To my knowledge, warp rings have a limited range, so unless you were in the same room as Xue and I, you shouldn't be here!" Stepping away from Xiaoling and crossing his arms over his chest, Lei huffed. "We should be finding a solution to our problem, not arguing with each other for once." Lei closed his eyes. "If you want to be the leader so badly, start thinking with a level head for a freaking change!"

"Look, as far as I'm concerned, someone wants us here," Mia said, attempting to put a realistic spin on the situation. She certainly didn't blame Cole for being here, even if his time machine had worked. "We..." Mia was about to say something else when her ears perked in the direction of the room that Xiaolian had taken Xue to. Sensei had always taught her to be weary of her surroundings, but of course, she could just be paranoid about that squeaking... Still, she turned on her heel, giving a small wave to indicate she'd be back and exited the room.

Xiaoling's exit was disturbed by his brother's sudden show in backbone. How cute. Eyes narrowing, his tails flickering behind him. Did Lei really think he could intimidate him, talk down to him like that? His ears pinned back, oh how tempted he was to bite the finger that poked him. "I only show the same attitude I'm given, Lei. Besides, when have you ever shown you can do something right? I've always have to fix you're problems, but you don't see me complaining. That's because I'm you're OLDER brother, and I love you." Brushing off Lei's backtalk, he was used to it by now. Noticing Mia's absence, never hearing her excuse herself. Heading out to check up on Xue.

"Don't be shy, I promise I wont bite." His smile said differently, showing of impressive canines, the dark flicker in his eyes. He wondered how easily she could break. Judging by her outward appearance she was frail as they came, ten minutes top. Brushing strains of her hair from her face, enjoying the way the child flinched and shuddered. Tilting her head with his thumb and index finger, dipping his head in closer, laughing when she denied him...when he felt the cold crackle of power it was already too late.

The flush was heavy on her cheeks, forced to face the darker version of her father. They way he looked into her eyes was so similar to the way Lei... The thought of what he wanted made her stomach churn and her tremble. Clutching to her doll for dear life, he was closer now... breath against her cheek, shutting her eyes tightly. "NO!"

What followed was a small distortion in the Zone. Ken found himself alone in the darkest pit, a chill consumed him, sucking the warmth from his body. A soft, childlike voice echoed, asking him the oddest question. "Can you feel the Sunshine?" Twin sets of crimson eyes on Ken. The acts of horror that followed were mind numbing. When he woke from the nightmare he had been expelled from the room, violently. A crater in the hallway wall adjacent to the bedroom door. Down for the count.
