I have read many, many Steven King novels, but one of my favorites is The Dark Half. There is no taking away from some of his most famous before they were movies: IT, Pet Cemetery, Carrie but something about this one has stuck with me for quite a few years. I do love how Stephen King writes, and the way he brought George Stark to life was both disgusting and exciting.

Another Stephen King recommendation: On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft (The Audio Book)
