So, the full spoiler for New Phyrexia has been released, and I'm going to dedicate my (first, woooooo!) article to discussing my
TOP TEN CASUAL CARDS FROM NEW PHYREXIA!
First a quick introduction. I'm just a guy with some cards who happens to have way too much fun playing Magic. I go by the same name on Mtgthesource and fearmeordie on Mtgsalvation. I love playing combo, and I love figuring out my own combos.
Without further ado, it's time for my
TOP TEN CASUAL CARDS FROM NEW PHYREXIA!

10)
-----------------------------------------------
Batterskull 5
Artifact - Equipment Mythic Rare
Living weapon

Equipped creature gets +4/+4 and has vigilance and lifelink.

3: Return Batterskull to its owner's hand.

Equip 5
------------------------------------------------
Allow me to say that I love Living Weapon. Perhaps this card is on here due to bias, but I want a copy for every deck I can fit it into. And it's great for EDH, which is a huge factor in rating cards for casual.

9)
-------------------------------------------------
Etched Monstrosity 5
Artifact Creature - Golem Mythic Rare
Etched Monstrosity enters the battlefield with five -1/-1 counters on it.
{W}{U}{B}{R}{G}, Remove five -1/-1 counters from Etched Monstrosity: Target player draws three cards.

10/10
-------------------------------------------------
5-color decks are always fun to play. a 5/5 for 5 is pretty sweet on its own, and drawing 3 cards is just gravy. It's big and scary, so Timmies should hop all over this one.

8)
-------------------------------------------------
Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer 3rw
Legendary Creature - Human Warrior Rare
First strike
Metalcraft - Creatures you control get +3/+0 as long as you control three or more artifacts.
5/4
-------------------------------------------------
He's an EDH General. A great one. Having an 8/4 First Strike is great on turns 4 or 5, even in EDH. But for that 8/4 to be your general? He's going to wipe multiplayer games, possibly in one swoop.

7)
-------------------------------------------------
Karn Liberated 7
+4: Target player exiles a card from his or her hand.
-3: Exile target permanent.
-14: Restart the game, leaving in exile all non-Aura permanent cards exiled with Karn Liberated. Then put those cards onto the battlefield under your control.
6
-------------------------------------------------
Of course a Planeswalker would be somewhere on this list. His ultimate gets funnier and funnier as the game drags on, and that's his real draw.

6)
-------------------------------------------------
Mindculling 5u
Sorcery Uncommon
You draw two cards and target opponent discards two cards.
-------------------------------------------------
This card is going to turn the tide of more games than you can count. Part of what makes casual magic so fun is that there's not the "snowball effect" that comes from competitive, where one missed land drop can end the game a lot of the time. Even if you're up against the ropes, a 4-card swing is amazing. And it's an uncommon, which is great for those of us who can't afford 18 playsets of Jace for our various casual decks.

5)
--------------------------------------------------
Life's Finale 4bb
Sorcery Rare
Destroy all creatures, then search target opponent's library for up to three creature cards and put them into his or her graveyard. Then that player shuffles his or her library.
--------------------------------------------------
Speaking of tide changers, Life's Finale is a wonderful card in many respects. It's a sweeper, for you control players. It can cripple some decks, namely those with low creature counts. And it even counts towards your mill count a little. We all know how much a lot of people love casual. Heck, you can even combine it with [card]Liliana Vess[/card] the turn before for a devastating ultimate a little later on.

4)
--------------------------------------------------
Melira, Sylvok Outcast 1g
Legendary Creature - Human Scout Rare
You can't get poison counters.
Creatures you control can't have -1/-1 counters placed on them.
Creatures your opponents control lose infect.
2/2

combined with

Phyrexian Unlife 2w
Enchantment Rare
You don't lose the game for having 0 or less life.
As long as your life total is 0 or less, sources that deal damage to you have infect.
-------------------------------------------------
It may just be a 2-card Platinum Angel, but neither card is dead on its own, either.
Melira combines with any creatures with Persist, and Unlife works kind of like an extra 10 life in a pinch. Expect to see at least one friend running this deck at your next big Magic sesh.

3)
-------------------------------------------------
Maul Splicer 6g
Creature - Human Artificer Common
When Maul Splicer enters the battlefield, put two 3/3 colorless Golem artifact creature tokens onto the battlefield.
Golem creatures you control have trample.
1/1
-------------------------------------------------
Really, I want to list all of the splicers in this spot, but Maul Splicer is just my favorite. He may be big, but big is always fun.

2)
-------------------------------------------------
Torpor Orb 2
Artifact Rare
Creatures entering the battlefield don't cause abilities to trigger.
-----------------------------------------------
Phyrexian Dreadnought
Lord of Tresserhorn
Oh, and it hoses the CIP abilities on your opponents' creatures.

1)
------------------------------------------------
Island
Basic Land-Island
------------------------------------------------

Just kidding. Although Island is a strong contender every set it gets released in.

------------------------------------------------
Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur 8uu
Legendary Creature - Praetor Mythic Rare
Flash
At the beginning of your end step, draw seven cards.
Each opponent's maximum hand size is reduced by seven.
5/4
And the rest of his cycle. But Jin's just the best.
-------------------------------------------------
5 great EDH Generals. Jin just happens to win the game on his own. Vorinclex is also great for having an ability that people love in EDH (Heartbeat of Spring) and mana denial.
The red one isn't that great, but I'm sure someone will show him love.

Honorable Mentions: Caged Sun, Norn's Annex, Puresteel Paladin, Phyrexian Metamorph, Phyrexian Obliterator
