MagicMadness.net Forum Archive (7/16/04 - 1/5/12)

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank all Orlando Magic fans who contributed to our little community on the web over the years. This message board started out as a college project back in 2004, and back then I never could have imagined that it would last as long as it did.

However, all good things come to an end. I have moved on to other projects in life, and most of our members here have followed suit. I will leave this message board online as a visual archive into the thoughts and ideas of a group of Magic fanatics that lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance.

Special thanks to our Staff Members: Black and Blue, MAGICMANEVAN, and NYCMagicFan

During an online chat, Ric Bucher reports he expects the Magic to trade Dwight Howard during the offseason.

Sources tell Bucher that Howard has a strong preference to move to the Lakers or Nets.

No way. I don't believe this report for a second. I'm sure its just hype to get a story going.

First time I have heard the Nets mentioned.

If something does go down, where the Magic let him leave, I honestly might be done with this franchise. They should have learned their lesson from Shaq. CANNOT let this happen again. If he does leave then I hope he comes to New York or New Jersey so I could see him more Live.

I am hopeful that he will re-sign, but I would not blame him if he left. Otis just hasn't given him enough help. Being loyal to a franchise just isn't the norm anymore. I sincerely hope we work out a trade and get something in return instead of him just leaving after next season.

Most definitely. Dwight has been fighting off reports that have him leaving and he has been quoted as saying this is his city and he wants to stay.
