The Boston Celtics have reached a tentative agreement on a deal with the New York Knicks  to send Eddie House, J.R. Giddens and Bill Walker to New York for Nate Robinson and a second player, according to multiple sources. The identity of the second New York player was not immediately clear.

It's unclear whether that second player could be one received by the Knicks during the team's active deadline pursuits, or from a third team, all of which leaves the deal very much tentative.

Celtics guard Eddie House acknowledged at Celtics practice in Los Angeles on Wednesday that he expected to be traded to the Knicks before Thursday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline.
