NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

Special thanks to our Staff Members: Black and Blue, MAGICMANEVAN, and NYCMagicFan!

With 13 seconds remaining in the 3rd quarter as the Toronto Raptors dismantling the Chicago Bulls at the United Center 85-58, Raptor guard Jarrett Jack did something odd with him holding the ball in play. He tied his shoe with the clock running. In comedic fashion, the Bulls didn't do anything but watch (except for Luol Deng who jumped over to cover open space). Jack didn't pick the ball up until there were 5 seconds left in the quarter where they would receive a very favorable whistle at the 2.5 second mark.

Here is video of the incident. Jack whipped out a sheepish grin after the stoppage in play. The TSN announcers obviously had no problem laughing as Coach Jay Triano's team had the 110-78 victory well in hand by then. In fact, that game on Saturday was over by the end of the first quarter as the Raptors were ahead 37-16 at that point. As usual, Chris Bosh led the way with 25 points and 12 rebounds as his chances of staying in Toronto come the summer are dwindling by the week. Jack finished with 6 points and 9 assists as the team from Canada improved to 9-13. It's their second straight victory coming off a Hedo Turkoglu game winner in overtime against the Washington Wizards in D.C. It could be a sign of things to come for a team that I predicted to take the 4th or 5th spot in the East.

Meanwhile, Chicago drops to 7-11 as Coach Vinny del Negro is slowly moving towards the hot seat. Tempers seems to be flaring for everyone on that team as center Joakim Noah got thrown out about midway through the 3rd quarter in that Raptors loss. With Derrick Rose still in an early season slump and Kirk Hinrich missing his 5th straight game with the thumb injury, Chicago seems to be stuck in limbo and won't be getting out any time soon.

Having the Bulls to be perplexed, I am perplexed as well. I was like, dude, take the shot for starts to finish the quarter, man.
