We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank all Orlando Magic fans who contributed to our little community on the web over the years. This message board started out as a college project back in 2004, and back then I never could have imagined that it would last as long as it did.
However, all good things come to an end. I have moved on to other projects in life, and most of our members here have followed suit. I will leave this message board online as a visual archive into the thoughts and ideas of a group of Magic fanatics that lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance.
Special thanks to our Staff Members: Black and Blue, MAGICMANEVAN, and NYCMagicFan

Some of you may not know, but Orlando is getting a new sport: indoor lacrosse. The team is the Orlando Titans of the National Lacrosse League. The league itself is older than the AFL, and the team is relocating from New York City. The team has a playoff pedigree, and one of the brightest stars in the sport today. That star, midfielder Casey Powell, was interviewed on Tuck and O'Neill on 1080 the Team this afternoon. Some highlights are here on my blog. From how he described box lacrosse, he made great comparisons to ice hockey. A lot of the rules are similar, complete with penalties and fighting (take note, Solar Bears fans). Jerry O'Neill made a big deal in the lead-up about how important Casey and his brothers are in the sport of lacrosse right now. Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster tomorrow, and the season begins January 8. Home games will be played at Amway Arena. Tickets are $20-35, all lower bowl, and season tickets (8 home games) start at $99. |
