NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

Howard says shut it

C Dwight Howard, who looked like Larry Bird on the free-line line Sunday in Toronto, said he told everybody around him — teammates, coaches, etc. — to stop giving him advice.

Howard, a career 60 percent free-throw shooter, hit 14-of-16 against the Raptors after making only 7-of-17 coming into the game.

"Everybody is always asking me about it," Howard said. "Everybody telling me what to do and what not to do. I'm like, 'Just let me shoot. I've worked on it all summer.' Now I just feel good. I'm not worried about making it or missing it."

Currently shooting 65.3% from the line (career high).

Do what he says!

He shoot better than 67% in his rookie year if I'm not mistaken. He has definitely improved this season. I think its all mental with him. Teams will think twice of fouling him if he keeps this up.

Yeah, it's weird how he shot 67% his rookie season, and then has struggled so much since then.

I think a lot of it had to do with all the mass he added to his frame, along with the fact that he was focusing on so many other aspects of his game.
