We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Both Hollins and Brown directly criticized and badmouthed the referees. Van Gundy's comments were no where in that ball park. He didn't even criticize the refs. All he did was directly answer a question about the replacement refs. HE EVEN GAVE THEM CREDIT IN HIS COMMENTS!!! The NBA should be ashamed of itself for this fine. I cannot believe this. |

Agreed. The blame is on the NBA. Period. David Stern wanted this to happen and too bad, there's going to be coaches whining on this move. |

Definitely. I hope other coaches in the NBA get behind Van Gundy on this. He responded to the fine today by saying that he never criticized the referees. I have a feeling the NBA can fine him again. Bad call Mr. Stern! |
