Magic with the blowout win, 102-83.

Hope the regular season game threads aren't like these preseason ones. ;)

Yeah, not too much activity on the threads for the preseason games. But I sure do follow preseason games close like they were regular season even though they arent on tv.

Judging from tonight win over the Hornets, Ryan Anderson had a very good game. The man can stroke it from behind the 3 point line. I reallyyyyyy like our team!

Anderson's 22 points is really encouraging. We were all sad to see Lee have to go, but Anderson is looking like he'll fit right in with our type of offense.

SVG had this to say after last night's game (Magic now 5-0):

Quote:

“People keep calling (Anderson) the other guy in the Vince Carter trade,” Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy said, “and when I told you guys (in the media) he was a big part of the thing, you rolled your eyes. But he fits the way we play. Our team is built inside out, and you can’t leave him open.”

I'm just loving our depth. We have sooo many guys that can put up points that if ones off, who cares we got a whole crew to step in. So many versatile guys that can play multiple positions. I have high expectations for this season. Were looking great as it is, even though its only preseason.

I agree with Stan, Anderson is gonna be a key component of our team. He is deadly from behind the arc. I'll miss Lee but I think Anderson will be better in the long term.

Also, Anderson started last night.

I wonder if that's something we'll see while Lewis is out the first 10 games of the season, or if it was mainly just SVG messing around with the line-up?

Although I love these guys and the performance two, things stick out:

Dwight is shooting around 50 from the foul line (what happen to his improved stroke)

and turnovers are very big (23 each in the last two games). They started out like this last year too.

Hopefully the turnover problem is based mainly on rust, and also on the new guys getting used to playing with each other.

Howard's FT shooting does concern me some, though. Like you said, he was supposed to have an improved stroke, so I'm not sure why he's still shooting so poorly.

Agreed. And he has no pressure now. :hmmm:

Rocks blocking shots on guys with dreadlocks
the bulls announcers know absolutely nothing about our team. First turk apparently spent alot of time at the 2 for us and whenever dwight went out of the game he was a main post up option. Then they went off on the whole orlando shoots too many 3's and idk how they made it to the finals bs. They really like dwight though, they might as well have given him an on air BJ.
