This actually sucks pretty bad. Cavs filled their one hole and didn't have to give up much of anything. O'Neal is up their in years, but he's going to be motivated to top Kobe again.

Very good move by Cleveland. Yeah, Shaq is old, but if we get into a playoff battle with them, guarding Shaq on the defensive end will definitely wear Dwight down, and will certainly make it more difficult for him to score.

Now, when are the Magic gonna make one of these deals where they trade away nothing and get back a big time player? The Lakers did it with Gasol, the Cavs with Shaq, the Spurs with Jefferson... c'mon Otis, let's see what you got.

This will make the Cavs more tough to beat but we're still better than them.

That wouldn't exactly be a trade nothing for something deal :)

I don't think this trade makes Cleveland better than us, but I guess it could give them a shot against us in a Playoff series. But remember, we could have easily swept them this year and that's with LeBron having one of the best offensive series in NBA Playoff history.

Well, now Celveland got a bigger frontcourt. L.A. already has one and Boston too (specialy with KG coming back). We do need to get bigger. Tough job for Otis, decision on Turk is going to be huge for us. I wish we could keep everyone and get a quality PF too. Who knows what will happen. But it is clear we need to bring in at least another quality PF.

Wow, this is a huge blow to us. Plus this gives the Cavs the space to maybe even sign both Lebron and Bosh in 2010. Great move, and we will have our hands full and Shaq may just break our hearts once again.

what a horses**t trade. why would phoenix even do this without demanding a first round pick gets thrown in. anyways if dwight gets a consistent bank shot or turnaround jumper it'll be funny next year because shaq wont be able to guard him either

Not necessarily. I mean, this trade is so huge that our team all of a sudden got smaller and smaller as East teams acquire players like that. Look, when I saw this on ESPN.com, word got out from the NBA that the trade was official and LeBron and Co. are fully loaded on their front court when it came to offense. I think when the offseason starts with the NBA Draft, our GM will do something to get in return.

Let's not underestimate them. They will be a very dangerous team with Shaq in the middle (if he doesn't let his ego affect his game). Now more than ever we need a solid pf.

This trade doesnt scare me much but I do agree we need to find another quality PF/C. As I keep saying, trade/sign Rasheed Wallace!!

This trade is pretty bad for us. Shaq & Dwight can ALMOST cancel each other out and now we don't have anybody to still stop LeBron. Otis Smith needs to do a Redick/Battie trade for Bosh or some kind of stupid trade like all these championship teams are doing because we might not make the Finals again.

 Nope. Doesn't translate that trade to be a great one.
