Rocks blocking shots on guys with dreadlocks
take 1 of the first 2 games and i will be feeling pretty good about this series. i feel better about playing the cavs than i ever did playing the C's. dwight should be able to operate more comfortably in the post w/out guys like perk and davis forearm shoving him out of the lane all the time.

In the back of my mind I'm starting to get really scared about this series because I am less nervous about this than I was Boston. And I was less nervous about Boston than I was Philly. Maybe I'm putting too much stock into the regular season, when it took a very unusual 3 point shooting performance from LeBron to eek out a win and two games where we completely dominated.

I just hope we ride the momentum into the Q and take Game 1. I think we HAVE to get the split up there, but I also feel like we can win both games if we come to play.

JJ is benched...and Lee will be starting...

article here

Quote:

The Magic will change their lineup heading into the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavs, starting rookie Courtney Lee and returning J.J. Redck to the bench.
Coach Stan Van Gundy told the Sentinel after Tuesday's practice that he thinks Lee matches up better with Cavs guard Delonte West.
"At the risk of giving away a huge secret...because of matchups, we're going to go back to Courtney in ths series," he said. "For Delonte West, a guy who puts the ball on the floor more and attacks with the dribble, I think Courtney is the better matchup, so we are going to go that way."
Lee started 42 games during the regular season and began the first round of the postseason as the starter until sustaining a fractured sinus cavity in Game 5 against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Redick replaced him, making eight playoff starts and doing a solid job defending Ray Allen in the second round against the Boston Celtics.
It will be Lee's first start since Game 5 against the 76ers.

Though JJ did a very good job on Ray Allen in the last series, I think it is a very good move from SVG to switch him with Lee. I believe Courtney Lee is much better suited to defend a guy like West.

Right move for this team. J.J. did a really decent job in this postseason. Hope to see more of his contributions offensively.

I have a good feeling about this series. In my opinion, I think we match up better with the Cavs than we do against the Celtics.

We do seem to match-up better.

The only big problem I'm having is...LeBron James. The guy is on a whole different plateau during the playoffs - now and in the past.

Yeah true. I'm not ready to be a complete homer and say we will sweep them or anything... but I just think the matchups are more in our favor for this series compared to the Boston series.

i believe we will take Cleveland better than we took Boston.
Maybe thats just because i haven't boughten into the whole "Lebron James is a God" thing. Or maybe its because i really do believe that Orlando is the best team in the East.
We win in 6.

This year is the year in which Charles Barkley has given us the most love. He picked us against Boston and didn't change his mind even after we were down 3-2. Now he's picking us to beat Cleveland.

Also, though Chris Webber believes Cleveland will beat us, he DID say Orlando is the best TEAM in the NBA. If we just play at our level and mentally as tough as we were Games 6 and 7 vs Boston, I think we have a good chance.

When it's all said and done, I think LeBron will be one of the top 3 players to have ever played the game. He is the most complete player to have played in decades, and I'm going to really enjoy watching him play in this series.

That said, SVG has to decide how he's going to handle him. Do you double him like we did with Pierce and make Williams, West, and "Big Z" beat you? Or do you just play him one on one and lock down the other guys? I would probably lean towards taking him one on one, because unlike Pierce, I think James can handle the double team with ease. Yeah, he'll probably put up 45, but I can live with that, provided we don't give up big games to anybody else.

This is a must win game. The Cavs haven't play in a while so we need to take advantage of that.
