Not often you see the 8 second backcourt call when the player has one foot over the midpoint line. The refs weren't even hiding it at the end.

I got 4 calls from Bulls fans at the end of the game, each one saying, "Now you know how we feel. The refs are being asked to make the games interesting."

Whats the exact rule? You dont just have to get the ball across the line? Because Hedo did have the ball across I think.

18 point leads and 28 point leads are our kryptonite. Against Cleveland, we had better not get a 38 point lead ;) All kidding aside, this team just can't play with a big lead. I have no idea why.

I don't have any statistics to back this up, but I would be willing to venture that we blow a lot less big leads when we are playing with Nelson at the point. It just felt like he was always a run stopper when he was in - and right now, we have nobody to kill the opponents run. Turk feeds it with poorly chosen, long range, off balance jumpers and our current point guards like turning it over when the other team is making a run.

Dwight is the anchor, but Jameer was the captain, and it feels like we have nobody who takes control when the game is slipping away.

The rule is to get the ball over the line, but the point is that they literally called it at the tenth of a second that the shot clock turned to 16. You'd think they'd be a liiiiiittle less obvious when giving all the calls to the Celtics.

I was waiting for them to call 3 seconds on Howard at some point, but luckily for us Howard was snacking in the front row instead of playing. Seriously he was absent the second half of the game except for rebounds.

I'm still trying to relax. :D

I'm watching it now. Can't recall until the highlights shows up.

Does anyone in America think that the 8 seconds gets called if it is Rondo with the ball? Ok maybe a few people in the Boston area, but that's about it.

One quick question: Did Rondo and the Celtics have to pay taxes for living at the free throw line in the second half? If not, that's a good deal.

Now we have home court advantage guys! We need to win both games at home.

I want Game 2. I don't feel totally confident with this team at home yet. I'd hate to go back to Boston tied 2-2 or worse.

Something else, when did Rondo start getting Kobe/LeBron calls? When did this paradigm shift take place? Since when does an All Star reserve type player start getting treated like the 2nd coming of Michael Jordan? This is ridiculous!

Definitely. I am not content with just splitting. This team showed throughout the season and well most of tonight that they could no doubt win on the road. I want to go home 2-0.

That will be sweet but we need to play smarter basket from now on. Stop relying on the 3 pointers when we're ice cold from there. Also Howard needs to be a defensive force like he was on game one.

Sometimes the Treys don't help any team in the playoffs... they need to give that a break and start making inside baskets.
