OK NBA the ball is in your court now. Rondo had better be suspended. Otherwise it is obvious that their desire to have Cleveland vs. Boston in the East Finals is impairing their judgment. That should have been a flagrant 2 foul and should result in a suspension for him. Let's see what they do.

He deserves to be suspended, in my opinion. I don't think Rondo deserves to be suspended, although I strongly feel that his foul should have been a flagrant foul.

It's not about the result, it's about the context. Dwight through an elbow in another players face out of frustration and anger. Rondo was trying to commit a foul and hit the wrong part of the body. Dwight had malicious intent, Rondo didn't. To me, that changes the whole situation.

Dwight's foul was pathetic. Confront Dalembert if you have a problem with him. Throwing an elbow and running away is embarassing.

I'll take a suspension for dwight especially if it sent a message. He shouldn't get frustrated at these losers hacking and smacking him all night. He should be used to it by now. Oh well, better to win a game 7 at home.

Dwight needs to show more restraint, what he should have did if he was pissed with the pushing by Dalembert is elbow him in the chest or elbow his f**king arm knocking him out of his way on the way back down. The fact that it was above the neck, he deserved the suspension. Rondo deserved a flagrant, but does that flagrant warrant a suspension? Not sure there, I mean guys commit flagrant fouls all time and don't get suspended, so I think that's more of a gray area, but that call was blown none the less. It was clearly a flagrant.

I'd hate to be Foulembert or Flopo Ratliff if there is a game 7. I still think we can beat them.

I'm hoping the Sixers come in over confident being that Howard is out. Also, even with Howard out, I think we are a better team then they are and better coached. So we need to come out balls to the wall and take an us against the world mentality! How sweet would it be to win it on their court after all their b**ching and moaning without Dwight. I tell you what, this is a chance for Gortat to strut his stuff on the big stage for a load of minutes.

If gortat wants a team to drop the MLE on him the way him and his agent have been talking then here is his chance to cash in right here. Its all on him now

If Dwight would have thrown that elbow with the ball in his hands in the middle of a play, it would have been a flagrant and could have been likened to Rondo's play. Again, the difference is in the context. Dwight was acting out of anger and was intending to injure, Rondo was playing basketball and was intending to foul. The actions weren't too different, but it doesn't matter.

If you close your eyes and throw a flowerpot out the window and it hits a little old lady in the head and kills her, it's manslaughter. If you aim, its murder.

Agreed, good analogy, that's why Rondo shouldn't be suspended and Dwight should.

yeah but rondo's intention the entire time was to hit brad miller in the face. i dont care if he was trying to foul or not he still intended to hit a guy in the face in mid air so he should get suspended too. posey did the same thing w/ the heat a few years ago and he was just "trying to foul a guy" but went for the head the entire time and he got suspended.

sadly, it is what it is. Dwight threw an elboy, smacked Sammy above the shoulders. thats a ejection/suspension.
do i agree with it? no. that shouldn't be the rule. that should go under Refs judgement. IF you take all that Sammy's done to dwight this series (fouling like a mad man, scratching eyes), he deserved what he got. God forbig Dwight actually gets mad. isn't that what everyone wanted?
I just think a game is a game. Lets figure out what the punishment should be during the game not 24 hours later after the league has been able to look at it and decide what Dwight "intent" was.

As for Rondo, he went up and hit a big man. Why he won't get suspended is because he's 1. a celtic and 2. he's a PG hitting a big man in the face.
But note, if they called it a flagrent, Brad wouldn't of taken the shots, Gorden or Rose would. And that game would've gone to 2OT.

Just my thoughts.

well since most ppl seem to think rondo's foul shouldnt warrant a suspension if i were the bulls i would get one of the scrubs at the end of the bench to come in the game and do the same foul to rondo because its not like their gonna get suspended for it.

If I was on the end of the Bulls bench and they sent me in to send Rondo a message, I'd be stoked to do it. He deserves to get his, someone needs to drop that b**ch. A little baseball mentality.

Good point, I agree with this.
