If we end up losing this series, which right now looks like it could very well happen, this season would be a miserable failure and one of the worst years in franchise history, seriously. With the joy of the 59 wins and the hope and promise we all had, they are about to turn it all into a huge pile of horses**t. 2 more losses and we are done. HOW SAD INDEED. |

everyone outside of dwight should be flat out embarrassed tonight. nobody competed for s**t on the defensive end of the floor. all the dumbasses bashing SVG for playing turk instead of pietrus over on other boards are conveniently forgetting how at the end of the 3rd/begnning of the 4th pietrus wasn't even getting close on his 3's and his defense was starting to go downhill. He just had a hot stretch for 5 minutes and went back to sucking. with rashard and hedo sucking it up big time i just kept thinking during the game that if we still had jameer we would still probably be able to get by w/ them sucking it up. |

Its amazing how the offense has disappeared down the stretch and in the playoffs! Its really disturbing how this team went from one of the best in the league to looking like they are gonna get bounced in the first round without any kind of fight whatsoever! |

I'm not all that upset or surprised that we lost. It's very tough to win playoff games on the road. What I am upset about is the absolute lack of production from our two highly paid forwards. For 80% of the game, their offense was pathetic and their defense was embarassing. Rashard is reluctant to attack. He's become nothing but a spot up shooter with a massive contract. He won't take over games (or even try) and he does not contribute on the boards. What's the point? Turk is a trainwreck. If I have to watch him lower his head and run around the arc, then jump up and make a cross court pass to the other team, I'm going to go crazy. He spends twice as much time complaining than he does defending. |

That whole 2nd half I was just clapping and chanting to myself "Defense" and "Here we go Magic here we go." And at about the 7-minute mark of the 3rd is started working, and I just kept with it 'til the end, almost prevailed. I think the fact that I couldn't hear much of the sound on the televisions at BWW gave me a ton of assistance in truly seeing how horrendous Monty and Jim Clark were. I didn't care so much in the 1st 30 minutes because we were playing like complete and utter a**. But our 2nd half run was getting cut short every single time down with all these unbelievable whistles. I refuse to watch anything basketball related until Sunday because it's just going to piss me off more how robbed we were. Yeah our players are at a major fault for digging ourselves that big of a hole, but had game been called fair we would've had the lead easily with 4 minutes left and never would've looked back. I seriously tried to give the officials the benefit of the doubt for most of that game, but it was just way too f**king obvious when you see Dwight get constantly hacked on one end, guys like Turk, Skip, and Lee getting poked at on their drives in the paint (whether you thought they'd make there lay-up or shots is beyond the point seeing as how Philly got rewarded), and on the other end you have these p**sy whistles for fouls happening 30-feet away from the basket when you see our defenders not doing anything with their hands. They missed so many travel calls, it was ridiculous. Young and Iggy are good, but they shouldn't be getting away with that garbage. Anyway, Dwight did well, and it gives Stan more confidence in feeding D12 late down the stretch (If Hedo would give him the damn ball). That last play was a fluky as it could get, Richie and Dennis nailed it on the head: had Dwight not stripped Young, that was an easy travel call. I still thought he travelled before Dwight got his hand in there, and even when he got it back, he took a step and switched pivot foots. So Thad still got away with 2 missed travel calls. Dwight did all he could. He was unfortunate to be on Thad's left shoulder when he recovered that ball giving him that room to have a clean look at that putback. Rashard f**ked up bad on that last play, you never give left-hand players the baseline. If they're righties and you have a presence like Dwight in the paint, then you let them go by. But you wouldn't allow Ginobli to go down that side of the baseline would you? Rashard's playing bad, but at least he's trying on the glass and doing a lot of unnoticed little things. God willing he starts driving to the paint more and starts knocking down some open looks because he's too good to be struggling like this. Hedo right now is the worst basketball player on the face of this Earth. We might as well be playing 4 on 8 instead of 5 on 8 because Hedo's a cancer on offense. He's semi-passable on defense but he's there for his offense. I really hope we get rid of him. He doesn't know when to got others involved when his own shot isn't dropping. Even Mike learned after this season not to be so trigger happy as you're seeing in this series. Rashard doing the same thing. Peaches should really start, his 3s and defense alongside Courtney are heavily needed. Surprised I haven't seen much blame pointed at Rafer and AJ. Tonight was their night to step up because Philly was focusing on Courtney, but our PGs couldn't hit anything. And once again Andre is getting his 20+. Skip again missing some shots at the basket, and AJ missed some open jumpers.Gortat with another subpar game. Well for the 2nd time this series, we're in a must win scenario. I don't know what to expect from either team. Philly was making some ridiculous shots in the 1st half, then they cooled off a bit which is mostly due in part to us playing some decent defense. Meanwhile, we woke up after a horrible first 2 1/2 quarters, so who knows if that will carry over or not. We drove to the paint when needed too, we either just missed gimmies or didn't get the calls that Philly was getting for less contact. I seriously won't know what to expect until I know who the refs will be. |

Lost in all of our problems was the officiating tonight. For the first time in this series, I felt the officiating was absolutely horrible. It killed any flow to this game because no matter what, there was a stretch there where a foul was called on every possession. There were two or three times we barely looked at a guy and the whistle blew. And there were a couple of times we drove the ball and got hacked and....nothing. Did officiating cost us this game? Not one bit. But I feel Philly not only got all the bounces, but they got all the calls too. |

Tough loss but we'll win this series. But does Orlando has what it takes to beat Boston in the second round? Doubt it. |

i would just like to note that we were down by 18. Turk went out of the game. And we got back to within 7 when Turk came back in. I absolutely have had up to hear with his boneheadedness. i'm sick of him. and i can't wait for him to opt out this summer. see ya Turk. nice knowing you! |

Magic in 6. We win on Sunday by double digits. Come back to Orlando and win again by double digits and then finish it off in Philly after a hard-fought game. |

If we are going to win this series, I think this is the way it will be done. We haven't even looked anywhere close to the team that was in the regular season. If we just play like the 2008-2009 Orlando Magic, we will get two blowouts. But something is wrong with this team and I don't know if it will/can be fixed in enough time. I've had a bad feeling about it since the 4th quarter of Game 1. We had better step it up and win big on Sunday. |

This team looked very promising for the last 18 minutes of game 3. They started playing much better defense. Their defense was very similar to how we played in the regular season. |
