NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

Special thanks to our Staff Members: Black and Blue, MAGICMANEVAN, and NYCMagicFan!

Smith said the Magic could see forward Tony Battie for the playoffs, providing he can play a game or two in the regular season. Battie, recovering from surgery in October on his left rotator cuff, has been working out on his own, but has yet to have contact.

"I want to see him play a regular-season game," Smith said. "He has to play."

Dwight is hurting everyone with his elbows.....he's gonna single handedly hurt us in the playoffs, and this isnt even about his FT's.

Orlando Magic forward Brian Cook could miss the rest of the regular season after sustaining a fractured right knuckle on his shooting hand after being hit by center Dwight Howard during Monday's practice.

Yeah I already made a new thread about Cook.

But I hope Battie can try to come back because we might need him if Cook will be out an extended period of time.

I thought Battie wasn't allowed to play in the regular season as part of the exception we got from the league.

I thought so too. Denton wrote something about it a while back. Unfortunately, the shortsighted nincompoops at Florida Today didn't archive the posts in his old forum, so there's no way for us to check that.

Either way, we're going to need his defensive presence even more now.

Batman can still play and we don't face any penalties if he does, that money is ours no matter what.

i firmly believe that is Batman comes back in time for the playoffs, he would make our team better. I really think he is a good player. He is very sold and gets a good 10 points a game or so. someone feel free to see what he averaged last year.
i think he could make us better though.

I don't need another Kelvin Cato scenario.

Is Battie going to do that much for us? The man hasn't played ball in months. How do you guys know he's going to be able to step up and play 100% healthy??

Who ever made any mention to that?

Of course he wont be Marcus Camby if he came back we all know that. Thats why I, for one, am not thrilled about losing Cookie. Lets just hope he is back for the playoffs or we will have some problems. Pat playing regularly=problems.

I think that's an understatement. :/
