I am not sure if thread about this is already posted here, anyway, what do you guys think about Gerald Green?

If we can get him for cheap, it will be intriguing what he can bring to us from the SG spot. He is not good defender, but he is young and athletic so there is still potential there.

He will be a good piece coming of the bench for us - provided he improves his defense.

Next season?

I think we can do better than that. Like you said, he sucks on defense and hes had trouble listening to coaches. Plus, they say hes not a hard worker.

I've heard the same, seems like a punk to me. No thanks.

All he's good for is dunking. We aren't going to be able to put cupcakes on the basketball hoop for him to score his only points.

Yup. I was thinking about next season.

"Look, was he immature in some situations? Of course. He came out of high school; what would anyone expect?" Irvin said. "But he's a good kid. I think [this] has humbled him, and now he realizes he has to fight. But to discount anything he did [in Boston] because he was on bad teams, well, half of the league is filled with bad teams. Are we going to discount everyone's season on a bad team?"

This is what caught me. Maybe being cut would change his attitude. The kid has talent, he can shoot and very athletic. Veteran minimum and see if he now "gets it"...low risk I think.

He would be an interesting option over the summer as he is raw though what he's shown gets mixed reviews, bad attitude though amazing athleticism and potential. He would basically be our 2cd round pick since we gave it up to the Heat in signing SVG, so I say go for it. He can play that swingman role for us that Evans has done so well this year and he might have learned from his being cut and get his priorities straight.

I don't know. It seems our team has a pretty good vibe going, no reason to risk it with a guy like this.

Bring him to camp. Don't just sign him outright. Make him earn that roster spot.

Him earning a spot would probably be ideal for his continued attitude adjustment.
