I'd take both. I think Williams coming off the bench would be nice and Maggette can still play. He would be a nice fit at SG if we lose someone in free agency this summer. |

Maggette's a veteran. And what do veterans want? To win a championship! They are willing to shrink their stat sheets in return for being on a contending team. The good thing about Maggette, though, is that he is still one of the best at his position. And just like so many have done before him, he would be willing to take a huge pay cut to play alongside the most dominant big man in the NBA and one of the hottest shooting teams in the league. Not to mention...he would love to win a championship in his hometown! |

Ben Q. Rock Williams would be a gap filler if BOTH Dooling and Arroyo walk. If we keep one of them, then H*LL NO! <_< |

magette would be great if he wants to come off the bench because i think stan wants to move lewis back to the 4 but i guess he could start if we put him at the 2 cause then are lineup would be nelson, magette, turk, lewis, howard. As i said before though i think svg wants to move lewis back to his natural position and have battie in their for rebounding. I mean d-12 is grabbing 34% of are rebounds this year that hasn't been done since denis rodman either way i hope we make this deal if magette is on board with it |

Again, I highly doubt Maggette would take a pay cut to come to Orlando and become a back-up. The dude puts up 20+ a game...I wouldn't even want him to be the back-up. One of two things would probably go down: 1. We trade Turk, Maggette becomes SG, Lewis to his natural position. 2. We keep Turk & Lewis at the forward positions, Maggette at SG, Battie comes off the bench. |

Option two for real. I wouldnt trade Turk for anything. Even to upgrade talent. Not him. Chemistry among the team is more valuable and hes untradable in my eyes. |

Rocks blocking shots on guys with dreadlocks

option two is the best b/c turk is way too valuable to this team, him a dwight have developed awesome chemistry together and his playmaking abilities have really helped this team take it to the next level, and i think his passing is a huge part of this team with our PG's having a lot of inconsistent play |

I think Maggette has a good team attitude from what I can tell, I think he'd be a great asset . you guys are right though, what to do with him. I like MM's idea with Battie coming off the bench, he may need awhile to get back into game shape as well. when he comes in we could shift rashard back into the 3 and that might cause some defensive shifting issues with the other team, suddenly the guy whose had to come out to guard the three has to stay down low with battie, make sense ?....or did that rock of crack I smoked finally kick in? |

I really like the idea of having Rashard/Turkoglu remain at the Forward positions and having Corey Maggette play SG. Although his defense is shaky, the man's offense s**ts on both Evans and Bogans combined. I say this off-season we sign Maggette, let go of Bogans, trade Redick, resign Evans, and possibly draft a big man in the 1st round. I think our off-season would be very productive. With that kind of lineup, how can we NOT run the East? |

Did he say that stuff or are you just speculating? I doubt Maggette, in his prime, would be willing to take a "huge pay cut" and "shrink his stat sheet". He's 28, not 35. Consider how much money we gave Lewis this offseason. Lewis' statline for the previous season (which was his career best season): 22.4 pts, 46% shooting, 6.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists per game. This season, Maggette is averaging 22.4 pts, 47% shooting, 5.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists per game. They average almost identical numbers, and Maggette is only 3 months older that Lewis. Now, did Lewis take a "huge pay cut" to play next to a dominant center? Hell no. He got ever last dollar out of us that he could, so why should we think Maggette would be willing to take a pay cut to play here? I think Maggette will go looking for his massive pay day, and it would be really suprising to me if he found it here. I would love to have him, but I doubt we can afford him. |

Povtak said in the article he thinks we can get Maggette for the mid-level exception, provided that it's a five-year deal. |

I just can't see that happening. If I were Maggette, I know I wouldn't accept it. |

Well it depends, if he wants to continue making a lot of money, then he will go elsewhere. If he wants to possibly win a championship, he'll play here or somewhere else. He's wanted to come back to Orlando for quite some time so taking a pay cut isn't necessary not out of the question for Maggette. Playing with Dwight Howard will have many people wanting to take a pay cut. |
