At 41-24, the Magic are guaranteed their first winning season since 2002-03.

So, lets hear some predictions for our final record. The Magic have 10 home games and 7 road games, with only 4 of the games coming against teams with winning records. My guess is 12-5 over the final 17 games, to finish up at 53-29.

I think the Magic can do even better than that, but I have a feeling SVG will rest players if we get the 3rd seed locked up, plus teams we play who are still battling for playoff spots will likely be hungrier than we are on some nights.

Looking at the remaining 17 games, here's my prediction:

Clippers - Win
@Heat - Win
Pacers - Loss
Cavs - Win
Wizards - Win
Sizers - Win
@Hawks- Loss
Spurs - Loss
Bucks - Win
Hornets - Loss
@Cavs - Loss
@Knicks - Win
Bulls - Win
Timberwolves - Win
@Chi - Win
@Hawks - Win
Wizards - Loss

I see us going 11-6. The losses will mainly come against teams still trying to make the playoffs or improve their playoff seeding.

52-30!

Cool, I'm game;

I'm feeling homerific and plus I can't help myself when looking at this shedule; so I'm saying the Magic go 16-1 down the stretch with the sole loss being to the Hornets. That's right, we sweep the remaining two agianst the Cavs and shut those experts up!

:haha:

Final record: 57-25

as much as i like your confidence....going 16-1 down the stretch would be a very very (virtually) impossible thing to accomplish with the way we "have our moments" and play like crap!

Plus, i dont see us beating the spurs and/or the cavs(twice)!

but im all for going 16-1 (HAHA) :lol:

We will crush the pacers in this game......i know we struggle against them every time we play them, but i PROMISE we will dominate the entire game! :yes:

Drafting Marbury + Foyle = Championship. \o/
I'm going for the 50 wins just because I don't see Cleveland reaching 50 wins and that number should be enough for us to secure that 3rd spot. That way we could rest some players for the playoffs in the last few games and we might lose one or two otherwise easy ones.

50 wins is definitely possible. Evans prediction of the remaining schedule seems realistic to me.

12-5 on the remaining schedule. I'm sure we will drop to some garbage team down the process but 12-5 definitely seems like a possibility.

Looking at the schedule now, it's possible the Magic could close it out with an 11-3 record and get to 55 wins.

However, like I said earlier, their might be a couple of games at the end where SVG rests players and the team loses a few easy ones. I guess we won't know until it gets to that point. Apparently, the team is still focusing on trying to overcome Detroit for the #2 seed, so SVG might keep the team fighting hard all the way til the end of the season.

SVG does not want to rest players. And sometimes its not a good decision. Maybe he will, but so far with the way he plays his starters, I think SVG will try to get as much as they can.

Well, looks like SVG DOES in fact want to rest the big 3 at some point:

Quote:

Big 3 to see less time

At some point in the next few weeks, Coach Stan Van Gundy will start scaling back the playing time for his Big Three. Rashard Lewis (38.9 mpg), Dwight Howard (38.6 mpg) and Hedo Turkoglu (37.7 mpg) all are among the NBA's top 22 players in minutes played.

"Yeah, they are playing a lot of minutes, no question," Van Gundy said before the game. "And once we get through this next stretch, there will be time to cut back some minutes. But there is no proven formula. You just want to make sure they are sharp and feeling good going into the playoffs."
