Technically, looking at the franchise's history, they know how to win. Hungry players like KG, Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen who are unselfish are definitely dangerous in the playoffs. They could definitely have a chance to win the championship this season. You have it all wrong.

I promise you Detroit will beat them. The only way they lose is if Stern screws them with reffing or the bogus "supensions" last year that killed the Suns. This has nothing to do with the franchise's history. The Celtics franchise is not a losing franchise. You obviously didn't understand what i meant. It was a shot at Ray Allan, Paul Pierce, and KG knowing how to do only one thing in the playoffs and thats LOSE. Every single time they got it in.

The only person in the national media that is not buying the Cavs is Charles Barkley. He's great. I love how he doesn't always bow down to a team just because all the other guys are. He sees things very clearly and pretty much said how the Cavaliers aren't getting anywhere with the way no one but LBJ has any production.

He also said that the Rockets' fire will burn out soon and even though they beat the Mavericks last night, I agree with Sir Charles and Houston will eventually hit a wall.

Barkley calls it like he sees it. I respect that.

He's the best sports commentator in any sport, in my opinion. He's funny, opinionated, and not shy about saying what we're all thinking. I'll flip to TNT just to watch the halftime show...

I don't think Stern would purposely ruin the Pistons chances of winning or beating the Celtics if they face them. I understood your post actually quite fine. Ray Allen, KG, and Paul Pierce have always lost EVENTUALLY in the playoffs. But like I said earlier in this thread, you have 3 All-Stars who are unselfish and all want to achieve the same thing they are going to be hard to stop. Also, other players on the Celtics team have stepped up their game recently. Look how well Kendrick Perkins has done recently. Rajon Rondo has been a nice surprise this whole season as well and the bench has proven that they aren't as thin as people said they were.

My problem with Barkley is that he tries to be controversial. Sometimes he says crazy things, so if by some miracle he's right, he will brag about it. But he's wrong about 7-8 times out of 10. He said the Cavs weren't going to make the playoffs this year. He said the Utah Jazz were the best team in the West. He likes to go against the norm, which is fine once in a while, but he just tries to be unique for the sake of being unique. I don't think he believes half the s**t he says.

I do find it funny that everyone keeps praising the Cavs. I must really be missing something. They have been very mediocre since the trade. Mike Brown has done a lousy job of utilizing the new pieces he's gotten. They have guys that can rebound and defend and they have more offensive players (Wally and West). They should be doing better than this, but I think Mike Brown is a terrible coach and he doesn't know what he's doing. He depends on LeBron way too much. But I'm glad we're flying below the radar. We don't play very well in the spotlight anyway. But for the "experts" to be praising a team that is only 8 games above .500 in the east is kind of sad.

Totally agree. That's something I've noticed from him many times over the years. I doubt he sincerely believes some of the things he says.

But going against the norm and being controversial is what got him where he is. Thats why hes got that contract with TNT because thats what they want and viewers want. Same with the commerical. Hes a great commentator, I too switch to TNT just to watch the halftime shows. Hes the main attraction out of the whole crew there. He does know basketball but i think he just doesnt want to say the same thing as everyone else - to keep it interesting. Everyone knows the obvious so he wants to switch it up.

We may not have the spotlight on us like the detroit, boston, and Cleveland, but it's coming, Dwight was on Rome the other other day and Lewis was on another nationally heard espn show. I cant remember the guys name. So I think the media is going to slowly start to gravitate to this team when we start getting into the 40+ win colum. Of course with the whole world getting to know dwight a little more with the dunk contest I think people will start to notice this team and take us more seriously.

IMO Cleveland is just trying to fill needs at this point, they are like the Suns in the sense that they changed theyre entire game plan this late in the season and for really no reason. Cavs, Detroit, and Boston are beatable.

EDIT: That was his opinion, but there is no need to respond like that. I will let him know how you felt but please do not attack other members. You are welcome here, nobody wants you to leave.
