We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Nelson has the right idea. Terrible result, but still the right idea to shoot that 3. |

Guokas is right. The Warriors are trying to drain the clock, but there is still enough time for a comeback if they stop playing offense. Stupid move by the Warriors. Teams do this too often and it hurts them more than it helps. |

That was basic suckiness 101 demonstrated by the Magic in the 2cd half; lousy point guard play and lots of turnovers. What the hell was wrong with Nelson? And why in the world is Stan so stubborn? |

:@ Not just lousy point guard play, lousy guard play, period. Really, we couldn't give someone with a particular knack for shooting a shot with how bad they were playing? |

Turnovers aside, we don't rebound the ball. SVG's system is God-awful when it comes to getting offensive rebounds. He sends everyone back on defense except Howard and we still give up 27 fast break points. If you aren't going to stop the team from fast breaking, then at least get some more offensive rebounds. We missed 41 shots and only got 4 offensive rebounds. That's pathetic. And we don't take charges either. This team is afraid of contact. Nelson and Foyle were the only two guys that took a charge tonight. I know Bogans, Evans, Arroyo, and Dooling take charges once in awhile, but for the most part, we suck at it. |

I have a new hatred for Ken Mauer and Brian Forte. Those f*ckers screwed us out of at least a dozen calls in the 3rd quarter. I knew we were f*cked with GSW coming back without even heating up because the damn refs had to step in. Then in the 4th we just couldn't hit a damn shot. The Big 3 scored 20+ each. But all 3 PGs were bad (Kedo not 100%). Our bench brought absolutely nothing. You know you're in trouble when Carlos Arroyo is your Subway Sub of the Game with 3 points and an assist. ![]() No Fat Guy tonight, and we jinxed ourselves for not dressing Gortat. I thought PG and JJ would end up playing because Cookie and Adonal were ineffective, and Mo and especially Kebo were not doing much defensively. Oh well, Atlanta on Monday, GUYS NIGHT. All you insecure boys better stuff your pants for the dancers.

There weren't any good performances off either team's bench. Harrington had 14 points, but shot poorly. That was it. The ovation Carlos got when he entered the game was pretty unexpected. Yeah, I know he has fans, but that's the loudest they've cheered for him at any game I've been to this season. Keith Bogans got booed after missing those free throws. He probably didn't deserve it, but the fans were so frustrated they took it out on him.

Well, the only good thing about that was that we won't have to face a team like them in the playoffs. Our shots wouldn't drop, our defense wasn't very good, Baron Davis was unstoppable, and we had a ton of individual turnovers. Our point guards did a pretty good job on Monta Ellis, all things considered. I didn't really expect us to get out rebounded, and I didn't really expect 7 turnovers from Turk (which absolutely killed us in the 3rd quarter). Couple that with the 4 from Howard and the 4 from Lewis, and our big three put on a pretty poor display of ball-handling. Absolutely nothing from the bench or from Evans/Bogans. Our bench was a combined 3-13. |

Honestly, Nelson and Arroyo did a pretty good job on Ellis. Bogans and Evans got absolutely destroyed by Baron Davis... |

I just don't get it why this team doesn't want to hustle. Its been like this for how long? How do you honestly fix that? Is it too much young players? We probably need more vet talent in the locker room to help these kids.
