We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.
Special thanks to our Staff Members: Black and Blue, MAGICMANEVAN, and NYCMagicFan!

I was at the game last night, and I too thought it was strange how much of a reaction he got from the crowd. I hadn't heard that kind of ovation for him since he first came to the Magic. What was the reason? Or was there one? |

The Spurs' philosophy is to surround the three ultra-talented stars (Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker [although I think he's overrated]) with a bunch of fairly priced role-players who would "run through a wall to win" (I think that's a Popovich quote. As much as I like Keith Bogans, and Mo Evans, and Brian Cook (to name a few), I don't think they're the type of players to run through a wall. EDIT: I think the fans were just looking for an excuse to get excited. I cheered louder for Arroyo than I normally would have. The theme was Scout Night, so I don't think that was the reason. |
