Think he'd want to play? Think Otis would want him?

I don't think Otis can figure out how Olowokandi will be able to help and improve our team. :|

I honestly don't think Olowokandi CAN improve our team. We might as well play Gortat. We should've gone after Ratliff as soon as he was waived. He's old, but he can still rebound and is a good shot blocker. Exactly what we need.

Olowokandi is just as old as Foyle is (well, he's a month or two younger) and he's not as productive...

I think Foyle has done a decent job for us especially since we got him for cheap. The Kandi Man is a joke though.

Hard to believe, but it's true...

Adonal Foyle (age 32) per 36 minutes this season: 7.4 points. 10.2 rebounds, 2.2 blocks
Michael Olowokandi (age 31) per 36 minutes last season: 6.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.0 blocks

Yeah, but at least he's tall. He's got that going for him.

Oh, and a fantastic name.

Cook has been really hustling lately so I'd say that plays into Otis's contentment. Really, D12 is such a staple for this starting lineup that we don't need much depth there outside of Foyle, who has been getting it done for the most part in the limited time he is used.

But come playoff time, what if Dwight gets in foul trouble? Do you really think we can stick with Detroit, Boston, Toronto, or Cleveland with Foyle playing extended minutes in the low post?

I think so because thats why we got him is to guard those bigs from the West. He is not there for offense, so its not like were asking him to do anything out of the ordinary for him.

Yes, I do think that Foyle can serve as an effective band aid if Howard gets into foul trouble.

I'm going to have to agree with Falcon here. I know that Foyle is a good defender, but is Cook a good defender?? If Dwight gets into foul trouble, is Rashard going to be able to guard PFs for an extended period of time? Brian Cook isn't a good defender. Can Foyle play that many minutes?

Will there be another Gortat sighting??

To be continued.........

Michael can play PF then.
Michael would be available for the Postseason because he wasn't Wavied after the Trade Deadline and Theo was and looks like Detroit is going to get him.
Dale Davis would be good. So would Alan Houston as the SG.
C Howard
PF Michael or Davis or who ever they can sign
SF Lewis
Houston or who ever they can sign
PG Hedo

Michael can play C then Howard at his normal Postion PF.

Howard is not a power forward. Every minute he's played this season has been at center. Ditto for last season. He hasn't played power forward since the 2005/2006, and even then he was more productive as a center.

EDIT: added "since the"

After watching how we played against the Raptors with Foyle and Cook playing prolonged minutes at center, do you guys still feel comfortable with them as your only big men heading into the playoffs?
