Dwight Howard's sticker dunk didn't win the judges approval in 2007, so the Magic big man has decided to give the All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest another try. And for the first time ever, fans will help decide the winner by texting and voting at NBA.com.

Howard will be interviewed tonight on TNT (7:00PM ET) as the NBA All-Star teams are announced live. He is expected to be announced as a starter for the Eastern Conference squad for the first time in his career. Earlier this week, it was announced that Howard would compete in the Slam Dunk Contest for the second straight year.

Also Rashard Lewis will be playing in the 3 pt Shooting Contest but i couldnt find the link or article about it.

Oh wow, I didn't even think about the 3 pt Contest. Yeah, makes sense for one of our big shooters to be in it. Nice!

I don't think Lewis stands much of a chance in the shootout. He doesn't release the ball quickly enough.

I actually think Rashard has one of the most quick releases from the 3-point line.

Is Ray Allen going to be in the contest?

Lewis/Allen would be a nice little rivalry.

I dont think Ray Allen will be in it. But, the top two 3pt shooters in the NBA, by far are Jason Richardson and Rashard Lewis, who are both tied with 118 as of today.

I read an article (I think from the O-Sent), that said Rashard will be in the 3 pt contest, but i dont think it listed any other names. And its wierd because i cant find ANYTHING about the 3 pt contest anywhere on nba.com... i guess its not up yet or something.

Mr. Anderson
Rudy Gay and Jamario Moon are both asking fans for dunk ideas....hhhmmm....that should be a minus on them. Dunkers should be the one being creative.

Plus for Dwight for coming up with dunks on his own.

Dwight got friggin' robbed last year on that sticker dunk. Glad the fans get a chance to vote this year. I'll be texting my votes in!

Yao, Duncan, and Anthony is slightly less intimidating. Anthony is overrated.
