We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. 7'0 foot David Lee. I think they do live in a parallel universe. Everything in NY is bigger and better kind of universe.

Oh man, tell me about it. I seriously love reading their board...I find myself checking it at least once every 1-2 days. I read numerous posts tonight from Knicks fans who laughed at the thought of trading the "mighty" Curry/Randolph duo for Dwight Howard. I mean, sure, the two are doing a solid job...but, no...are you kidding me? Dwight himself outrebounded both of them combined tonight. Also, apparently we're a bad team, and the Knicks had NO excuse for losing. Yeah, we're the bad team. We had a better record last year, and made the playoffs. Seriously, you guys have to check out the Knicks board at RealGM sometime. It is highly entertaining. P.S. - check out this gem, regarding a trade for Ron Artest: I'd do a Balkman and Marbury for Bibby and Artest. - sol537 Yeah, I'm sure the Kings would be all over that one. |

Fun game to listen to on my CD player as Richie was on his radio game last night. Loved how he kept ripping Eddy. ![]() The first 3 quarters sounded ugly, but we came through when we needed to. WE'VE WON THESE 4 GAMES IN A FEW DIFFERENT SCENARIOS THAT WE WOULDN'T HAVE PULLED WITH VICTORIES LAST SEASON. ![]() By the way, My Boone Braves took down Edgewater 21-14 in 2OT to take the barrell and still stay undefeated. This Phoenix game will be something special if we can keep rolling, but we have to be damn tired by now (excuse or not). Knicks may make the playoffs the way they've played so this is a huge win in my eyes considering all our struggling. Great to see D-Flight's 20/20 and to have 4 starters with 20 points.

Drafting Marbury + Foyle = Championship. \o/
|
About last game, one final note: Nelson was HUGE and again I have to say that I really liked Arroyo's minutes (and I guess he didn't get more just because Nelson was unstoppable yesterday). Looks like he's getting into SVG's game: move the ball, be quick to find an open man and shootwhen you're wide open. He's not looking for his own shot, and he looks a completely different player from the one I kept bashing here. If Nelson and Arroyo keep moving the ball like they did yesterday, and even if their shot doesn't fall, I'm happy with our PG rotation. |

How great is it to have 4 guys who can score 20 a night? Wow. Turk so far has to be the MVP of this team. He doesnt stop lighting it up. Dwight and Rashard are the big names teams have to cover, so it lets turkey get all the shots he wants. He should have a monster season. I cant wait to play some great teams and see what we can do.

I love reading Knicks forums. They are just so entertaining. They never fail to amaze me with some of the stupid things they say. Turk is a scrub, yet Balkman is the second coming of AK-47. Priceless! |

I didn't really know who Balkman was till last night. My thoughts: Has decent skills but no professionalism. If he wants to make it in the NBA, he has to learn to respect players. Last night it looked like he wanted to start a fight with Dwight. Dwight, being the professional that he is, didn't balk. |

Dwight hit him in the face accidentally. That's why he was trying to get at Dwight. Balkman is an energy player, but that's about it. |

I just crack up when i read thier board and they talk like the Knicks are as good as the Spurs and Mavericks or even close to them. They talk like the Magic are one of the worst teams in the league, and "how dare" the Knicks lose to such a bad team... Man it cracks me up. They make up SO MANY excuses like how Isaiah happened to sub in the wrong guy in the 4th that would have made the big difference, and they blame Marbury for not guarding Bogans and Crawford for not guarding Jameer and Balkman for not playing more minutes so he can dominate. They say how we were lucky to beat them and so much other crap that is so hilarious because they seem to be some of the stupidest people i have ever seen!

^^^Exactly. And they proclaim themselves as being the most "knowledgable" fans in the world, when they are probably the dumbest. They think they are great at sports because they demand so much from their teams. The truth is, they have completely unrealistic expectations for their teams. They expect the Knicks to be a top playoff team this year. They expect the Yanks to win the World Series every year. They never accept the fact that maybe they are just a middle of the pack team and there are a ton of teams better than them. The reason some talented players aren't able to play well in NY is because the fans boo them if they don't put up All-Star numbers every night. The media and the fans are so quick to criticize a player. The fans put so much unnecessary pressure on the players. And then they wonder why a player becomes good once he leaves NY. It's really no mystery. |
