Redick and Garrity hurt and not likely to play. Sounds like we might see the same starting 5 after speculation.

Oh no we lost our top two guys

Come on they have minor injuries, and they dont have a major impact on the team now. Plus JJ and Garrity get doughnuts when they do get minutes.

I want to see JJ get some solid minutes each game. I know they worry about him on the defensive end, and he seems to always be banged up. The guy is a money shooter though, you have to give a shooter like that some minutes.

If only we had a guy who could shoot AND d-up. Seriously. Bogans is the closest we have to that right now.

Agreed, it seems like we drafted him for nothing.

I wonder how much impact the injury to Redick's hand has on his playing time. I know SVG was talking about how important Redick was going to be to the team. He was considered for the starting SG and now he isn't even playing. Personally, I think Bogans is a better choice at SG anyway. But it would be nice to see how well Redick hits the open shots that Bogans has been getting.

Well, I don't see Redick shooting any worse than Bogans to be honest. But I was reading once JJ gets over the hand injury fully that he could end up starting down the road. I don't think SVG has the lineup set in stone just yet, so we'll see. I'd like to see him get a chance.

I think we stick with our lineup the first 3 games of the season.
Ratliff and McCants have done pretty damn well so far this season.

Have Hedo defend Ratliff and whether Ratliff chooses to defend Hedo or Rashard, the other guy that Ratliff isn't playing should be able to get to the basket, while whoever is being guarded by Theo will be out on the perimeter.

I could see Trevor and Keyon (especially if Chuck is still in SVG's doghouse) getting a lot of minutes. Not just because of JJ and Pat being out, but because the T-Wolves have a lot of pure athletic guys.

If Dwight can outperform Al I think we'll be fine, but the Wolves took it to the Knicks and should not be taken lightly.

I really dont thinks Bogans is shooting poorly. I think Bogans has been productive so far this season.

Oh, I don't either. He's been very good for us, and he has like 8 three-pointers so far. I'm just saying that Redick, being the great shooter that he is probably wouldn't be that much worse at all.

Adonal Foyle's game in demand tonight
He gives the Magic a better matchup vs. Al Jefferson than Rashard Lewis does.

Quote:

Fresh off [the Wizards game], the Orlando Magic likely will have a different look tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They will have to display more force than finesse.

...the theme of the Magic's practice Monday was defense, rebounding and playing tougher. That's Adonal Foyle's game.

The matchup against Jefferson is not an easy one for Rashard Lewis, hence the call to the 6-10, 270-pound Foyle.

Foyle is expected to have his minutes increased tonight and against the New York Knicks and their front line of Eddy Curry and Zach Randolph on Friday night.

"I should be salivating, right?" Foyle said. "One thing Coach told me was that we were going to try some different things early to give us the best chance to win. I'll do whatever he needs [tonight] or any night."
