Arroyo for SAR trade rumors picking up steam again.

I'd do it if I were the Magic. Sure, Shareef is on the downswing of his career but he could give us a much-needed presence down low. If we could get him for a 2nd rounder instead of Arroyo even better.

I don't like the idea of bringing Shareef over. He'd be great if he had an expiring contract, but he doesn't; he won't be a free-agent until 2010, which is also when Tony comes off the books. I don't see a reason to have both of them.

Bring in a guy with an expiring contract -- like Doleac -- because all we really need is a rental.

Hmm, I didn't realize his contract was that long. That is pretty messy. Hopefully the Kings would agree to pay a big chunk of that contract in any trade.
Hope we do something with it. Clock is ticking. We have to use it by December. Yikes!

i was watching the Denver game vs cavaliers and both commentators were saying that both teams needed a pg but Denver needed it more and rightfully so. AI is not a pg he looks for his shot first and when not open then passes. now don't get me wrong i don't want arroyo to leave but if he is going to get the opportunity to get starters min. then so be it. now i know it is just commentator but you guys can check out if a trade is possible.

Hmmmm!!!

Possible Line-up:

Arroyo
AI
Melo
Martin
Camby

Not bad at all. They may try to pull a trade.

Drafting Marbury + Foyle = Championship. \o/
But what would Denver have to give us? I trully believe that Arroyo is more valuable than Najera whom we could try to go after... besides that Denver don't have big man to spare... Nene is out for 6 weeks and we all know how injury prone is that frontcourt.

How about Marshal from the cavs? No a stud but has a big body, can make a few rebounds and shoots pretty well from outside. Although I also doubt the Cavs are willing to let him go since they still don't have Varejão.

See the problem with dealing Arroyo for a big man, is that Arroyo doesnt have much value for teams. Plus what team in their right mind would trade a big to us for him?

Hmmmm ....Isiah? The Knicks seems to have just lost Starbury - broken left lobe.

The will need a PG now. Maybe we can leach Isiah again for big....cough...David Lee. :haha:

I hope we really just sign someone out there without a trade. I think our roster is pretty good right now, but needs one more big man (Could end up being Augustine or Gortat eventually). I think there is really nobody out there we could get reasonably with a trade, so just sign a FA C/PF and go with it.

Whatever happened to Webber or even Varejo?? I don't think he's agreed to terms with Cleveland yet. Maybe we can sway him.

We can't sign Varejao outright because he's a restricted free agent. The best we could do is work out a sign-and-trade deal with Cleveland, and you know they'd want to take Trevor, Hedo, J.J. and draft picks from us. They don't want to let him go.

I don't wanna give up Hedo right away. I don't mind trading Redick if we can get a quality guy like Varejo. I wish we wouldn't have traded him to begin with.
