^Yup. I doubt Pat Riley will trade him to us even if they intend to trade him. Pat is to smart to help a team in the same division that is already about to dominate.

I don't get why people are saying that Redick isn't going to play here at all. Why do you say this? Because of 3 games into the season? Has Van Gundy told directly to the press that he isn't going to play or are people jumping on the gun because of 3 games and because of a story of the O-Sentinel (the one about the rotation) which has absolutely no background on it? JJ had a broken hand and went through pain until a week ago. Nobody but the coaches and himself know how he's doing right now. The same applies to Ariza. We do not know if he is 100%.

Van Gundy wouldn't have played JJ for so many minutes in the pre-season and praised his team defense to suddenly drop him out of the rotation for no reason.

We have a 15 man roster, we will use it during the season. No team survives with 10 or 11 men able to play. Everyone will get his chance.

And to trade Redick+Arroyo and losing a 3 pt menace and a 4 millions expiring for a big stiff who's not better than any of our reserves and wouldn't be anything more than a very very short term band aid would be stupid, I stand by my idea.

Webber is still available, PJ Brown too. Doleac might be getable for less than JJ+Arroyo.
OR , we can survive until the trade deadline and then use our expirings to get a good big that isn't happy or from a team who is doing bad and decides to rebuild.
Do not jump in the Kenny Thomas nor the SAR bandwagon. It would hurt the team more than it would help.

I highly doubt the Heat would give him up. He is one of the few bright spots on the Heat and I don't think Riley would want to give up one of his best big men to his division rival. Especially for Arroyo and Garrity.

I didn't say we'd be able to trade for him. All I said was that his style of play is what we need from the four.

Arroyo has proven that he's a little more than an expiring 4 Million dollar contract. Even though he's in the doghouse now. I just cant put more value in a guy that can "potentially" do one thing very well and hasn't shown me anything yet.

s**t we dont even know if Arroyo is in the doghouse. SVG said himself that he doesnt even have a solid bench rotation yet. Of course it's asumed that because ppl want jj to succeed more than Arroyo for whatever reason.

It's funny how arroyo needs to be benched, but JJ needs more minutes because he has potential to shoot a three. Give me a break. He's bait

Don't take me wrong, Arroyo does have more value than just a 4 millions expiring, but I mentioned his contract exactly because of the value it might have to teams who want to rebuild in the near future.

But still no, Arroyo doesn't need more minutes. :P

Yeah who needs Arroyo anyway, right? Let's cut down his minutes.

I mean Dooling can run the offense just the same and Jameer can continue his outstanding shooting from the field.

Excellent!

I guess I've just not cared, but I really never noticed the big debate on this site about the point guards until now. You're either on Nelson's side or Arroyo's side. It's like Nelson is the Republican, Arroyo is the Democrat, and Dooling is the independent, lol.

Personally, I want the best PG out there. If that's Arroyo, then that's great. If it's Jameer or Dooling, that's fine too. Personally, I like Arroyo coming off the bench, because I think he's better than most PGs coming off the bench for other teams. But I wouldn't be against trading him if it means we can get a big man in here to rebound.

Thank you Jesus. I cant stand these stupid wars. "You must hate him" "Why are you always bashing him" blah blah blah. Ill take the best guy who helps us win, but people need to stop crying when we critique one of thier games. We all talk about how all 3 need work at many parts of their game. Its stupid to just be a fan of one player. I never understood those posters who come over just when a guy gets traded here.

And im so with you magiclive. If our starter is Dooling, Arroyo, or Nelson im happy as long as were winning. I like Arroyo and Dooling off the bench where they can create a spark. And if Arroyo gets traded for a big thats fine.

ARROYO MADNESS!!!!!!!

In all seriousness, I'm cool with whoever starts. I like all of our guards to be honest. They're nothing amazing like Chris Paul, Deron Williams, or guys like that... but still decently solid for the most part.

Well, if Arroyo keeps playing like he did last night, then Nelson really has competition for that starting spot. Arroyo did pretty well, even if sometimes it looked like the offense was a bit stalled. I guess it's their difference, the way they conduct the ball upcourt. Arroyo was doing great on those high screens set by Howard and was shooting well, but (there's always a but :P ) doesn't it look like he makes/prepares his shots too fast? I mean, when he shoots it looks like he's just rushing the shot even if he has time to prepare it better... maybe it's just me, maybe it's his style.

Haha, yeah. Zuppa knows what he's saying. On a side note, it would be really awesome to get this kind of play from Arroyo on more of a regular basis. He really would give Jameer a run for his money if he kept this up.

I was finally able to watch the highlights for last night. That lob he threw to Dwight was pretty cool.
