It doesn't appear that the Minnesota Timberwolves also will buy out center Michael Doleac's contract (as they did Juwan Howard's), but if they do, the Orlando Magic would be very interested in bringing back Doleac.

As NBA sources said, they believe he's a better fit with Dwight Howard and Adonal Foyle than Juwan Howard because he can shoot. He also is familiar with Magic coach Stan Van Gundy, former Miami Heat coach.

Yahoo! Sports

Again, just like with Juwan Howard, I'd be interested in Doleac because of our current situation.

For whatever reason, I thought Doleac's contract was larger than it is. Anyway, the Timberwolves are in need of a point guard because of Randy Foye's knee injury. Trading Carlos for Doleac straight-up works. It's the same thing with Keyon.

Interesting...

We got beat up on the boards tonight...again.

We are going to HAVE to get another big man to bang around inside.

I'd grab Doleac to help our team, but I'd wait a bit before doing it at the expense of Arroyo or Dooling. Hopefully McHale will again have a mental fart and just drop him outright. If we continue to get shredded in rebounds night to night, I think you have to do something with our abundance of guards.

I don't see Doleac as a solution for nights like tonight, but hey who else is there anyway.

I wouldn't give up Arroyo or Dooling for this guy, but we need a solution for our problems in the inside. I take it there is no one else out there that we can just pick up?

Well, Doleac isn't necessarily a final solution to the problem, but rather a stop gap for the time being. Basically it boils down to the fact that we desperately need another vet big man, such as a player like Doleac who can provide some help and boost our team overall.

Why would we get a mediocore rebounder on a team that needs a rebounder? Dolewhack is a waste of time and money. He's a bigger Garrity

I'd try to make a deal for Reggie Evans.

I'd try to make a deal for Reggie Evans.

I think that ship might have sailed. Sixers are reaping those rewards.

Not really the team's fault as Battie's injury was pretty unexpected, and they thought we had depth with Foyle (who has played pretty well so far).

I didn't think someone out there could even be another Garrity. :X

What im thinking is that even if we did trade Carlos for Doleac.. would he really help with rebounding like we need? Hes not a spectacular rebounder by any means. And he wont be taking Foyle's minutes. So its not like he will get a ton of minutes or take someone's spot so he wont have much of an impact. Plus hes not great in the first place.

For what it's worth, Doleac's per-40 statistics are almost identical to Tony's.
