NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. I dont think we are going to miss those guys as much as he says we will. I hate that Battie is out but we've improved. Not only with the addition of Lewis, but with the development of howard and Redick, who's totally shut me up with some of his performances this preseason. Preseason or not, he's hown me that he can compete in this league and im happy for him. I've always wanted him to be a good player.

Anyway, even our PG's have improved, jameer is taking care of the ball, and arroyo is contributing well in the uptempo offense as well. i see good things for this team this year.

Yeah. Let's keep our fingers crossed. Let's see if these guys can stay focused through and 82-game season.

They added the biggest prize on the free-agent market in Rashard Lewis. Along with Dwight Howard, it should be enough for new coach Stan Van Gundy to get their offense going. But with a young backcourt and a thin frontcourt, a second straight trip to the playoffs is no guarantee.

Wow!

They have us ranked below the Bobcats, New Orleans, Bucks, Grizzlies, Miami and the New York!

I guess Marty Burns hasn't seen our team lately.

I agree with you guys about them overvaluing the pieces that went out. Darko is one thing because the jury is still out (althought it's REALLY not looking good), but I just find all of this praise for Grant Hill to be borderline ridiculous. He was an injury punchline amongst these same sportswriters the whole time he was on our team, and suddenly our team will sorely miss him and need to find a replacement?

We have the awful task of building teamwork with a healthy team of youngsters instead of bouncing lineups around Hill's health night to night and hoping they gel instantaneously. Woe is us! ;)
