We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Drafting Marbury + Foyle = Championship. \o/

Points to retain so far: When our shots are not falling, the team looks horrible. When Redick's shot is not falling, he looks horrible. Arroyo IS horrible, he can't run the offense, he was being killed by a 3rd string PG on defense. I know his lovers will come here to bash me and defend their hero, but goddamnit, at half the way on the second quarter we had 8 FG made, 2 were made by Nelson and he assisted 5 out of the other 6. Unless you are blind you can't say that Arroyo runs better an offense, period. I really hope Dooling returns fast to become our backup. When Bogans focus on defense he makes great things. 7 boards already and a lot of energy. |

The good news about the first half was that we played horribly and were only down by 4 at the half. We look better so far in the second half. |

JJ looks horrible in this game. Hughes is abusing our guards. |

Did anybody else try that channelsurfing.net link from dhoward? I got to watch the first half and the first couple of minutes of the third quarter on tv, but now I'm trying to watch the end of the game at work and that site is buffering like crazy...isn't working well. |

I'm watching through sopcast (CCTV5 channel also) and it works without any problem. |

Well, we won, but we had to use our starting unit against their second unit to pull it off. |

Well, we were going up against the EC champs, so it's going to take more the usual to pull off a win. Plus, Lewis didn't even play today. I'm glad SVG tried to win this one in the end, as opposed to the Hawks game. This one meant a little more, considering the situation. |

Was fortunate enough to see the end of the 2nd quarter, end of the 3rd quarter, and the entire 4th quarter. The Dwight dunk that got called back for offensive goaltending looked legit (it was going to hit rim in my eyes) but we won't know without a replay. Hopefully everyone sees how bad Arroyo may be this season. Hopefully SVG will eventually tell him to pass the damn ball without hesitation. PG had a pretty decent game (he's not that big of a defensive liability overall). James is scaring me with his past 2 games of struggling to hold on to passes. He'll learn and he's still worth keeping. Adonal looked good on both ends of the court in his limited time. Hedo was Hedo taking it to the hole (great shake and lay-in at the end of the game), and his performance was with a shaky 3-ball today. You might've seen in my videos, but you saw today that Jameer in his contract year is finally looking for other guys and getting those assist numbers up. Plus, he's driving to the hole a lot more rather than going for fadaway jumpers. High percentage shots is the difference. Jameer and Dwight (BEAST OF A GAME AS WELL) won this game for us with Jameer clinching it with 2 of his perfect 12 for 12 free throws. ![]() Good to see Dwight getting screwed again by the refs, as well as LeBron getting that All Star treatment.

I love that LeBron was allowed to barrel into whomever he wanted to today. He absolutely crushed Bogans and Nelson on two separate plays and was rewarded with the call. I'm very happy with Jameer's play so far. It wasn't just Dwight nailing free throws. The team shot 87.5%. If we can do that every night, and manage to actually hit more than 30% of our threes, we're going to be deadly. |

Now we are seeing Dwight converting at the free throw line on a regular basis. It is no longer feeling like a fluke. If he truly is this good a free throw shooter, it will be so hard for anybody to stop him. |

Nice to see two 30+ games from Dwight and we have only played 4 games. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come. |

Dwight's free throw looks very good. That shooting coach has done wonders on his FT. His jumper though still needs work. I think he is releasing it to fast. Z made some nifty turn around moves that Dwight cannot guard - he could learn a thing or two from Z. Cavs coach Mike Brown said that the game proved that our 1st team is better than their 2nd team. Well in a way he was right. But we are also missing a big part of our first team with Lewis injured. I am with SVG on this to play the guys even when they are obviously tired from the trip. This will be a good test for them and will benefit them during the regular season when they are on the road. It's more mental toughness than physical - this young team needs it. I liked Bogans defense. He was also helping out on rebounding and was fairly consistent with his jumper. JJ was no where to be found in this game - he was just horrible. Jameer played very well. The Chinese crowd was warming up to him even. Back-to-back game of sorts for us tonight VS China. Though I don't expect this to be close, I am eager to see who has the energy on back-to-backs. And I think so is SVG. Let's see if the Magic can suck it up and play with energy tonight against their game against a lower level competition. This has been our problem in the past where we play down to the opposing teams level. |
