Redick doing well

Guard J.J. Redick said he has felt no ill effects from the small fracture in his right hand this summer that kept him off the court for a couple of weeks.

"It's no problem. I haven't had any pain at all. I still think it needs to get a little stronger, because I couldn't do anything with it for two weeks. It's maybe 95 percent in terms of strength," he said. "But there has been no soreness, no swelling."

JJ's doing well in camp. I will not be surprised if he starts at SG during the preseason games. It looks like it has become a battle between him and Keith.

I wouldnt put him so high on the list yet. We havent seen him in action yet. Either way, based on articles, you can assume it will be between Bogans or Ariza.

I think it'll be Ariza. They can use his defense considering the loss of Battie and how much offense we'll already have in our starting lineup which will most likely be Nelson, Ariza, Turkoglu, Lewis, and Howard.

Agreed. If JJ makes enough strides to impress a tough D coach like Stan, then you can bet he really improved a lot. I still think Ariza is the choice here.

Well with the loss of Battie and considering that Ariza is the best rebounder during training camp behind dwight. (According to Stan) I wouldn't doubt that VanGundy will start him. Especially with his emphasis on defense.
