NOTE FROM THE FORUM OWNER:

We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Detroit Free-Press -
Darko Milicic apparently went on a profanity-laced tirade after a Serbia national team game at the FIBA Europe tournament this week.

Serbia lost Wednesday to Israel. Milicic scored 18 points and had 13 rebounds, but his team is now out of the tournament.

ESPN reported that Milicic was fined 10,000 Euros.

Just another example of something I was discussing late last season. Darko does have a fiery spirit - just not when it comes to NBA basketball.

Rocks blocking shots on guys with dreadlocks
see where is this anger when he played for the magic, if he showed that kind of intensity then he probably would have gotten an offer

Well that's the thing. He doesn't seem to care as much about playing overseas (the NBA) than he does about playing for his country.

Maybe one day he'll be comfortable enough to play here with the type of intensity that he displays in tourneys, but for the time being he's a quiet, disinterested person out there on the court.

Edit: And I'm not saying that it's right or wrong of him to be less passionate about the NBA. It's just an observation I've made during the course of his time with the Magic. I think his initial stint with the Pistons and lack of playing time has something to do with it. He's used to being the prima donna of a team, and Larry Brown sapped his spirit (though it was just a bad situation all around - Darko was not going to start on an elite team like that anyways).

Memphis Commercial Appeal -
New Grizzlies center Darko Milicic's angry comments after Serbia's loss in the European Championships did more than just earn him a 10,000 Euro fine.

His new NBA bosses aren’t happy, either.

Griz general manager Chris Wallace and head coach Marc Iavaroni spoke with Milicic via telephone Thursday, and admonished the 7-footer about his threatening and distasteful interview following a loss to Greece.

“We’re very displeased with Darko’s actions and comments,” Wallace said. “It’s an emotional situation playing in national competition, particularly with Serbia, because they take pride in having good teams. But Darko has to be in control of his emotions.”

Does anyone have a translation of his full comments?

I've heard some rumors that it was pretty bad, but all I've seen are some small quips and such, not a full translation of the question and his answer.
