We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. You can also visit the original MagicMadness Forum at http://orlandomagic.proboards.com.

I live in nearby Avon Park, and I'm going to try and go meet him today. I hope he doesn't get there until after I get off of work, but if I do, I'm gonna post a picture on here. If any of you guys live near Sebring, it might be worth your while. |

I can only assume this is taking place at the backseat of his Chrysler Sebring, ladies only for Mr. Ariza. |

![]() He's a really personable guy. My daughter absolutely loved him...she even asked him "Can you please sign my hat, Trevor?" He laughed and did so...he was only signing basketballs ($20.00 a pop, and well worth it) It was a great evening. Also, a couple of the dancers were there and signed my kid's hat, too...just really top quality people. |

It was actually a stroke of luck. The Circuit City here in Sebring just opened up about a week and a half ago, and they were having the Grand Opening. Our local paper listed originally that James Worthy would be there, but then this morning the paper announced that Trevor Ariza would be there instead. Also, Magic dancers Megan and Christina(?) were there, too, and they signed a little poster for my daughter (she was almost as excited about that as Trevor signing her hat). It was just a great night for the family. Most people were there trying to get a free gift card, so the line wasn't too bad. There was one guy asking "How much is Dwight charging?" and when he realized it was Ariza instead of Howard, he got kind of mad and left. Another guy beside me said, "Ariza's fine by me." BTW, Sebring's about 100 miles south of Orlando, but even so, the fanbase here is mostly Heat fans (bunch of bandwagoners). Still, the crowd was fairly nice, and Trevor was, as I said above, a class act. Did a lot of pictures with little kids that were starstruck (though not as bad as me, I think I stuttered more than ever...I've never met a player on a favorite team before!) |

The Circuit City is at a plaza that is opening a bunch of big chain stores...A Marshall's, a Books-A-Million, a Michael's....I'm hoping maybe some of the other guys might show up for some of those Grand Openings! It's stuff like this that makes me so happy to be a Magic fan. I know that every team does this, but it's nice to have a nearby team to root for that has genuine good people like Dwight Howard and Trevor Ariza. My kid's going to be a Magic fan for life after this, and that makes it even better! |

Here are a couple more pics that my wife took...![]() ![]() It's funny...my wife wanted a new Magic jersey (she's got an Arroyo) and was saying how she wanted Dwight or Jameer...after last night, we both decided to get Ariza jerseys. BTW, the Orlando Magic Shop is selling jerseys for twenty bucks again. There are a bunch available. |
