Exactly, that's why I don't believe the rumour.

I think the Orlando Sentinel would have mentioned it by now if it were true.

I think the Magic should make this trade plus still sign Foyle.
WE will have a nice rotation at the big men, Howard,Battie,Evans, and Foyle. Smith gives us a SG in case JJ is reduced to a Steve Kerr Role. Keith Bogans probably would be the throw in player since he has a low salary.

The projected lineup
PG Nelson
SG Smith
C Howard
PF Evans
SF Lewis

Top Reserves
Arroyo
Ariza
Battie
Foyle
Reddick
Turk if he still here

I wouldn't be averse to shipping Turk and Garrity to Denver for Smith and Evans. But the Nuggets are looking to cut salary, so Turk doesn't make much sense for them. Damn.

I wouldn't trade Turk or Arroyo in this deal.
Turk has better court vision and is a long 6'10 playing the 2 and avg more ast and reb per game than JR did last year. and actually avg 1 steal per game. I know that doesn't make turk a great defender, but the asumption is that he's a horrible defender when he isn't. Turk shot 38% from the arch and Jr shot 39% Really? does it make that much of a difference.

So we would want to bring in a one dimensional player with an attitude to replace turk? The guy doesn't even play defense. I think we are enamored with brining in new players for the sake of change. That doesnt make sense.

I wouldn't mind Evans, and if we can bring ini Jr along with Evans, and keep turk. I think that would be a great move. I think Dooling would make the best trade bait. Arroyo and Jameer are projected to be more successful in VanGundy's offense. I think we need to keep consistancy at the point. Dooling, IMO isn't a pg, he has an okay jump shooter and can bring alot of energy, but he's not a good PG.

It all depends how accurate was Smith from 2PT line, Free Trow Line,3-Pt Line, if nothing else trade Grarrity for Evens Straight Up.

i agree about Smith's talent. I think if he did flourish down here. We would have a really exciting brand of basketball with him, howard, lewis and jameer runnin the floor.

You're right. It all comes down to the notorious 2 pt line.

RealGM Staff Report -
Philadelphia 76ers President Billy King announced today that the Sixers have acquired forward Reggie Evans and the rights to forward Ricky Sanchez from the Denver Nuggets in exchange for forward Bobby Jones and forward/center Steven Hunter.

"We are excited to add Reggie Evans our roster. He is an accomplished rebounder that we feel will make an immediate impact and will exemplify our commitment to hard work, rebounding and defense," said King. "At 6-11, Ricky Sanchez is a young prospect that has potential and we will continue to monitor his development as he plays overseas."

The Sixers are going to have Dalembert and Evans up front? Good luck rebounding against them. Wow.
