:D I just wanted to post this part to get forum raction to PG situation!! http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_23430.shtml The guards will have the toughest battles in camp.

There is a potential log-jam at the point guard position. Jameer Nelson, Carlos Arroyo, Kevin Kruger and Keyon Dooling all offer a different attributes.

The point guard is without a doubt the most important piece to the puzzle for the Magic this season. The man that gets the job needs to be efficient; the team was amongst the worst in turnovers last season, which must change.

As of right now it's safe to say that Jameer Nelson is still the guy, but there are some concerns.

First, there has to be some concern with what's going on in Nelson's head. He’s dealing with a lot of different things this season, none more difficult than the loss of his father. Nelson is a good young player and a great young man known for his inner strength, but is anyone strong enough to deal with losing a father, an ongoing contract situation, and possibly losing a starting job?

If Nelson plans on remaining the team’s starter he will have to show improvement. Defensively he’ll need to use his quickness to make up for his lack of size, getting some steals that will help get the Magic in some transition situations. He cannot turn the ball over like he did last season. He needs to increase the number of assistd he gets per game and should average no less than six.

In the meantime, Keyon Dooling is ready to take the starting job.

He did a good job while playing the point for the team last season. It can be argued the team was a bit more productive with Dooling at the point; certainly the defense improved.

Keyon is hungry. He is ready to step into a starting role on this team. His defense and pass-first offensive are the types of things coaches spend years trying to teach.

What about Carlos Arroyo? Nobody can dispute the man’s talent - he can play. However it’s still unknown how Arroyo fits in with this team. It was tough watching him inconsistently benched last season. That might be his future again this year.

Many people believe that Carlos struggles with the way his game is handled in the NBA. He's a star for his Puerto Rican team - the guy is Michael Jordan in Puerto Rico - but that hasn't translated into the type of success other foreign star players such as Mano Ginobili, Tony Parker and Pau Gasol have enjoyed.

Carlos hasn't confirmed those thoughts. He's never pouted while siting on the bench and played hard when he was given the chance to play.

Perhaps Carlos' situation is the result of bad coaching. Maybe it’s because of a bad attitude. The bottom line is this season Carlos should have a great opportunity to get significant minutes and it’s really up to him to go get those minutes. The issues that existed with Coach Brian Hill are gone. He has a fresh start; it will interesting to see what he does with it.
