My heart goes out to the Orlando guys not being able to see the games. The Magic are trying to build their fanbase, and this is one of the worst things for it.

NYC, I'm moving to a sweet new apartment soon and am contemplating NBA League Pass. Going to be a judgement call with how much new furniture costs!

the sports package is if you have NBA TV, ESPN news, ESPN classic, ESPN U. those channels.

Alright cool, I have those channels.

Still, they should put FSN in with their regular service. You shouldn't have to pay extra to watch your favorite local pro team's games. That's just plain stupid.

I spend a bucketload of money with Brighthouse (home internet, business class service for my business, home cable TV with all the goodies and digital phone). I wrote Brighthouse today putting them on notice that if they do not have FSN avaliable to me in some form by November 1 I will cut all ties (or as I put it in the email, I will be moving to the "dish", dsl and Bell South), I told them if the service is not avaliable to me, I did not care the reason or who is to blame, I am gone.

They sent me this.....

Thank you for your request to carry FSN Florida. We try to offer our customers the biggest selection of programming, and are always looking for new channels that we can add to our services. Currently, we have begun talks with FSN to see if an agreement can be made to carry their channels. We have no information on the status of these talks at this time but more information will be provided to our customers as it becomes available.

While we are proud of the fact that we offer a wider variety of channels than any other provider in the area, we are also aware that our customers want the best programming possible.

Here is the deal....cut the Lifetime Movie Network, or Logo, or MTV 6 or any and all the Home Shopping Networks. Heck, cut off Fox News (I would like that).....I really don't care what they do, as long as FSN is on my channel menu....(well I care, all the EPSN's, NBA Network, MSNBC, History Channel, etc better still be there....I won't tell my wife that I suggested cutting the chick channels...I will call it a brutal act by Brighthouse we will just have to live with...)

I have both dumbhouse and defect tv. I have had both for about 5 years now. When the weather gets bad (torrential down pour) the satellite is done. Same at my bro's place (he also has both), same at my work(also direct). The bad thing about direct is they don't offer the magic in HD, but they do offer nfl sunday ticket with most HD games. With cable I seem to get espn classic, espn U, NBA tv, and i pay an extra 6 bucks a month for the HD tier package. So hopefully FSN is included in this. Even though i get it with Direct TV any way.

Direct TV Rarely ever goes out with me as well. Also, towards the end of the season Direct TV was getting the SUN HD games on channel 95. So hopefully they will broadcast all SUN HD games this season.

Thanks for that info, Brutal. The more people calling in and complaining about this, the better the chances are that FSN will be added to their service.

Like you, I can't understand why they don't replace FSN with one of the less popular channels. Just the fact that FSN will offer Magic games, let alone the fact that sports channels are always popular (and FSN shows Devil Rays games), should be enough to get that channel on the lineup. It's almost inexcusable that it isn't on there already, to be honest.

i've always wanted FSN. i for one enjoy Devil Rays game whenever its on that channel 4. and doesn't FSN do "The best Damn sport show?" i saw that once and really liked it. yeah cut MTV 2 or something. we don't need another channel of the AWFUL reality shows.

I'm dissapointed in MTV 2. I was always wondering about that channel over the years because I heard they play videos and do shows relating exclusively to music.

Well, that's not the case anymore I guess. I just got MTV 2 as part of my cable package a few weeks ago, and I see that it's just an extension of the same crap that MTV plays.

VH1 Classic is really good though. It's what VH1 used to be back in the day (Classic Albums, Behind the Music, Classic in Concert, Rock Fest, Metal Mania, music videos, etc.).

As a Brighthouse customer with FSN, I can tell you that FSN actually has very good programming. The "Best Damn" show is the most entertaining sports show on television, and there is a whole series of "Best Damn" countdown shows (i.e. 50 Best Damn Baseball Catches of All Time, Best Damn Basketball Plays of all time, Best Damn Sports Finishes of All Time, etc) which are very entertaining. Not to mention the Devil Rays games and now the Magic games. Keep pushing guys, because you're really missing out on a wonderful sports channel.

And I'm not trying to rub it in, just giving some info ;)

Yeah, I had FSN this past year when I was up in Tallahassee. It's a good sports channel, I'm surprised Brighthouse hasn't put it on in the Orlando market.

yeah MTV 2 is just stupid. i'm a fan of Fuse. they play alot of music...but they are starting to play some random reality shows at night and a movie everyweek...but other then that its a great channel.

MTV 2 used to be awesome. they used to focus more on music videos and on special interests like Hard Rock or Rap. Now they're like the "MTV Re-run Channel"
