We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. I think this is all but a rumor. It will be out of character for the Magic to get a player like Artest. I don't think he is worth it in the long run which is what the Magic are trying to build. If he was a short-term hire, he will opt out next season, then it could be intriguing. |

I do like the trade possibility you mentioned in your blog B&B. Kings get Hedo. Knicks get Artest. We get Lee. That would be awesome if we can pull off that trade.

I love David Lee's game. It makes me sick that we picked Fran instead. |

Knicks would have to send us one more salary. Quentin Richardson would fit. And I would take him in a heart beat. |

Either Chris Sheridan or Chad Ford of ESPN nicknamed David Lee 'DaWhite Howard'.

So it would be: Kings : Hedo Knicks: Artest Magic: Richardson and Lee Let's get it done. I think all parties will get what they want in this trade. |

I like that trade a lot better than trading straight up for Ron "mentally deficient" Artest, I dont know if I see the Knicks doing this though, Isiah is starting to get kind of smart now, I mean he found a way to get rid of Steve Francis

The trade indeed works, according to ESPN.com's trade machine: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/trad...ams=19~19~23~18 The one thing I worry about is the cap room down the road. David Lee knows he's worth a TON of money, and he's going to be up for an extension soon. But yeah, I'd do that trade. |

Did you get Otis on board? If Isiah can manage to control a team of Artest-Randolph-Curry-Starburry that team is kind of scary. I bet he would love to have that problem. The key is there is to keep winning before the bottom falls out. |

I doubt the Knicks would ever part ways with Lee. Fun to think about though. I'd trade Hedo for Lee straight up, btw. Hedo's more talented, but Lee would shore up our weakest area of depth. |

David Lee has a rebound rate of 20.7, second in the NBA, and Howard has a rebound rate of 20.5, fourth in the NBA. If they were on the floor for the Magic at the same time, there'd be a 41.2% chance that one of them would get any given rebound That's at least 41.2% chance that the Magic would control the ball. The mind boggles.
