According to a league source, the Kings recently contacted Orlando about Hedo Turkoglu. The small forward, entering his eighth season, began his career in Sacramento in 2000 and was part of a three-team trade in 2003 that sent him to San Antonio.

I like the idea of getting artest, but i doubt this organization would pull the trigger on that. Isnt he a 3 anyways, or can he play some 2?

How bout Hedo for Shareef?????

The most likely King to be offered in a deal would be small forward Ron Artest, whose $7.8 million salary for the 2007-08 campaign is close enough to Turkoglu's $6.3 million salary to fall within the parameters of the collective bargaining agreement. Turkoglu has two seasons remaining on his contract and a player option for a third, while Artest has two seasons left on his deal but holds an early termination option for next summer. Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie did not return a call seeking comment.

Eh, im a bit questioning this but i think Artest has learned from his past. I know people will be like no we just got Lewis we have enough good SFs. But just like George Karl said, "Id rather have too much talent then not enough." Its just speculation though but if he did come, we would have two star SFs, but its better to have to deal with too much talent then not enough.

Yeah he is a 3 but if we get him SVG will make it work. He wont bring Artest or Lewis off the bench. Maybe Artest could play the 2 like Grant did, or even Lewis can, hes a good passer. He might do what alot of teams have tried and thats using a 3 at the 4 spot. It can work, Lewis is a big guy. If we have too much talent we will just have to make it work. Three stars on the team would be awesome though.

Absolutely not. We don't need this clown anywhere near Orlando.

Hell no.

I really, really don't want that headcase on this team. We have too many good guys to spoil it with the leagues biggest jerk. I think he would clash in the locker room, and wouldn't even solve the lineup problems that we have now.

I have mixed feelings about Artest. I like him on the court as a player, but the off the court headaches he could possibly bring might not be worth it!

Drafting Marbury + Foyle = Championship. \o/
I'd trade Hedo for Shareef or (dream on...) Bibby. Hell yeah!

If we are sending him to the Kings, I wouldn't mind trying to get a package that includes Justin Williams. I know he's young, and inexperienced, but I like the kid (espescially under the direction of Howard and Ewing). And, he's 6-10 and has a knack for getting rebounds and doing the dirty work. He didn't play a lot last year (only 26 games), but when he did, he was very efficient. I wouldn't want a straight Turk for Williams trade, but I would be very pleased if we could work Williams into the package.

I like Artest............just not on my team. I enjoy seeing what stupid crap he'll do next, but I really don't think he should be in Orlando.

No to Artest. It doesn't fit with what we are doing here, and he's a liability because of his attitude issues. Work a deal there to get a big that can rebound and play D. Otherwise, look elsewhere for help.

Sorry for the double post, but I would trade Turk for Shareef. We need at least two big men if Darko is not returning.

Artest would ruin this team and what we're trying to do.

Hate to say it considering how talented he is, but yeah, Artest would probably bring more harm than good to this team in the long run.
