We had a long, enjoyable run, and I would like to thank every Orlando Magic fan who contributed to our small community on the web. This message board will be left online as an archive into the thoughts and minds of a group of Magic fanatics who lived through a 21-win season, the drafting of Dwight Howard, and an eventual NBA Finals appearance. Full article Cornstein says Otis is dishonest and deceitful, Otis says he still wants to keep Darko, and a GM is quoted in the article as saying that Otis won't return phone calls asking about trades. What the f :@ is going on here?! Are we really going to let him go for nothing? Answer the phone, Otis. Come on. |

This is what I've been saying today. It makes no sense, unless Otis pulls a friking entire family of rabbits from his hat. And somehow, maybe due to the history of bad decisions this organization has, I don't think we'll make us all drool in wonder. |

This is very confusing. It's hard to sit back and hope Otis has a plan, because it sure looks like he doesn't. It would have been nice to recieve something for Darko, instead of just letting him walk out the door leaving us emptyhanded. |

Moves, er.... non-moves, like this one are what make the Magic one of the least-respected teams in sports.

This is sorta spoiling the really good day we had going. We get Rashard, but then we get blasted by Darko. It's like finding 20 bucks in an old pair of jeans, but then walking into a pole. |

We've still got time. I'm not an overly optimistic guy, but the time is still there. Not sure if Otis wants to even try to contact Darko after Cornstein's latest hissy fit. Not sure what he's doing, but as I said, there's time. |

Well, the Sonics just agreed with Carlesimo to be their coach. A team that hires Carlesimo might also be dumb enough to pick our our expirings in a sign and trade and give us enough cap to get a good frontcourt player via free-agency. lol, there is still hope

Terrible job by Otis not even making contact. He should have been doing everything to keep him here, Dwight and Darko could have been a front court force in this league for years to come. I'm so dissapointed by this! |

It's still too early to say things like this. Darko and his agent are supposed to be professional and understand this is a multimillion dollar business. I personally think all of this negativity from their camp is because no one wants to give him the deal they think he's worth. |

Will someone here explain to me how the hell Otis is supposed to pull off a sign and trade when at the moment he cannot even do the "sign" part? The Magic have no cap space left. Otis has to also give Dwight his extension this summer, so the Magic will have no cap space for the future. And why would Darko even do a sign and trade, unless he is to get a max deal (which will not happen) he has no reason to go through the Magic unless Otis somehow finds enough cap space to give Darko what is wanted and be willing to accept Darko's suiters cap dreck in return. Otis has played this correctly unless you want to back off Lewis and take Darko instead (and nobody wants that). Given the situation, Darko was expendable. Brutal |

Brutal, from what I understand, Darko was never going to be a part of the sign and trade anyway. Most "predictions" have us sending Arroyo, Garrity (expiring contracts) and maybe Turk. Sometimes Dooling is in the mix. But I haven't seen Darko in the mix. In fact, from what I understood, we were going to use the contracts we dealt away to have enough money to resign Darko to a good contract. Now, it looks like that won't happen. Maybe the Sonics will give us Fortson in the trade (if they still have him).

On a side note Darko's agent is also Franny's agent. Who is REALLY a liar when as a franchise you are told that Fran will definitely play in America? |
